Well this is certainly something. A friend just linked me this, after us first seeing them announcing a toughness buff at a tower over team chat. Anyone else have more experience with these fellows? What are they all about?

I have seen over half of those guilds in WvW. They’re not hardcore but I see them often. Think [MATE] is the largest of the bunch.

Another guild [TRA] who has a good commander Missy Duo can show up in force at time as well.

I think when all these guys show up at once it’s like Maguuma 2.0.

You can never stack enough stacked servers to outstack other stacked servers.

Plus they wanted to go to T8 to battle real enemies. And if you think they are abusing the system then you are a noob who plays with their feet. Conversely if you don’t think so you must then be pro WvW player. I didn’t realize it was so easy to be pro or noob.

No we’re just in a tier lower then where we should be. These servers would roll heads in T6.

When FA’s overnight crew goes to sleep, Dragonbrands NNK zerg starts to play.

What is really amazing is to see how strong Kaineg’s coverage was during that same period last week. NNK and our other Asian guilds were getting killed by K last week. Really puts in perspective why they moved to tier 2, and why Dragonbrand will stay at tier 3.

Another way to look at it, NNK needs number advantage to succeed.

How smashed up will KN NA crew be in T2? I’ll get my popcorn for Friday night action.

Hmmm [OG], what to say…

I tried to arrange a fair fight with Bunzy (respectable even number matchups), instead when others from Maguuma jump us, him and his buddies decide to jump in as well and claim victory (4 vs 5 + the 2 that jumped us). Ok that’s how it’s going to be… So, I bring more guys to the fight for a more even numbers matchup, [WäR] wins the fight. More [WäR] show up later to win more battles and now magically things are unfair.

While I will give credit that OG has some pretty strong players, if you’re going to troll others by fighting with unequal numbers, learn how to handle it when you lose.

Here is what happened, judge for yourself. They actually killed one of our members before the fight even started so it ended up 4 OG + 1 Random Mesmer vs 6 WaR (The mesmer went down early as we didn’t res him) One thing I can’t stand is people who lie, but it seems tier 5 love to do it.

I’m more impressed with OG’s mad rezzing skills.

Roaming worked well in DAOC because there were CC and AE that was capable of killing zerg. Plus there was radar that allowed roamers to strike at will against zergs who didn’t have radar. There were alot of advantages to gank groups in DAOC as compared to GW2.

While I agree that that sentence isn’t right, I think his real point was that when people new to WvW come in with icons and are very assertive in what they’re doing, even when it’s plainly a bad move, they’re doing it wrong. I’ve seen a few of these guys pop out of the woodwork and it’s really annoying. You don’t need to preach to us that we don’t need to blindly follow icons because we usually don’t, but there are almost always people who do follow icons blindly, and that is a net loss for us. New commanders need to admit that they are new and be willing to take advice, and they also need to not be so unknown to the WvW population to at least inspire some amount of confidence. For example, Montzor from NOVA is a pretty new commander, but I’ve seen him around so long that I know he’s at least a reasonable person. Some of the others? Not so much.

There were many time I’ve followed good commanders even when I disagreed with their tactics. Sometimes the bad tactics actually works out, other times it doesn’t. The converse of your statement is that sometimes, people want to do things their way and split off with the commander. What ends up happening is that the commander can’t field a full force to make their tactic work. There’s going to be differing oppinions on how things can get done and the commander has a purpose to get everyone going the same direction. I feel like if everyone does blindly follow the new commanders like they do the good commanders they may actually succeed with the “bad” tactics.

DAOC did it right by putting focus on player killing and relics. People took tower/keep to farm or protect relics.

GW2 did it wrong by putting too much focus on objectives and keep/tower taking. It’s more profitable for each side to just let each other flip tower/keep which is boring.

Engineers are super for running supplies.

Let’s help balance the tiers a bit and consider transfering to the red teams so their servers don’t collapse. SOR & TC are good candidates!

I’d take DB over Magoobers any day. They at least understand how WvW works and don’t cry on the forums about how every fight isn’t 5v5 and call anything over 7 ppl a zergball.

In all honesty FA + DB = Greatest WvW server evar. The coverage would be almost perfect.

So, update on my transfer, I just got to maguuma and we have +670 pts! I can finally get all the POI’s that I was missing and I’m so happy, you should all come over, this place is great.

I just transferred off magummera. Its a awful server full of trolls and wannabe pro chest thumping gamers. Some guy stole my golem and ran it off a cliff while saying over local chat “waste of 1 gold”. Once I was downed in JP and downed my oppenet at same time, a NOVA magumra guy was there, all he had to do was finish enemy or pick me up. He did neither and I died watching as he autoattacked downed enemy who rallied off me and then killed him. They cant portal bomb at all, they dont even know how portal works. I cant count number of times I see golems ported backwards, or in JP a mesmer up top is under attack, he has 10+ guys below waiting for port to back him up, he tries to be a hero up top and dies like a moron. I saw a flame ram up near JP treasure, seriously the portal door up there does not take damage from siege! This is kind of server maggumma is, you may think this is a troll thread but everything I said is true and I left so I dont have to deal with it anymore. Get out now while you can.

PS: they have a awful troll commander named Invalid Telivision or some kitten that leads zergs off cliffs to crater deaths, I think he was in a guild called Bill Murray.
