Accountwide gold find bonus is useless.
Enemies rarely drop raw gold and even if they do its a handful of copper, 1-3 silver if you are lucky
replace gold find by map bonus – events are the bread and butter of GW2 after all
make map bonus affect renown hearts completion – (by that i mean make them fill up faster, not grant map bonuses) even though by the numbers they make up about 15% of the world completion, they take as long as the whole rest. And some take ridiculously long, like the first one in Draconis Mons, where doing the entire escort event chain gives you just enough to fill it up. The mere thought of redoing all the hearts makes map completion on more than one character horribly unattractive

Dont position neutral “greeter” NPCs next to functional ones. Bank in LA and Moto in Rata Sum being the most notable ones. People usually crowd in such areas to the point where you can neither see, nor click them.

1-Click selling, even if you do sell by accident you can just buyback (keep the doubleclick for buying though)
1-Click adding items to Mystic Forge

Categorize minor runes and sigils as Trash. To keep it newbie-friendly categorize them as trash one you hit a level where you can use major ones. Optionally same for major ones, although some people use them for MF gambling, so maybe a toggle instead

Display a “Tornament XY has opened for enrollment” message similar to the Leyline Anomaly. Publish some kind of Google/Outlook-calendar we can import or subscribe to for the daily tournaments (times up to the next monthly should be enough)

Remove confirmation on salvaging LS3 map currency or make them all usable like pearls, orchids and berries

I am fine with higher rewards for higher ranks, thats something to look forward to that motivates you to progress.
In PvE a lot of content is time/level-gated too, like additional traits, skills, dungeons.
Except – and thats a very big except – even if you take a leisurly stroll through the world, talk to every npc, 100% every map that you enter, you can get to max level and unlock all waypoints and dungeons in a couple months tops.
In WvW the best i could manage with stacked XP boosters was 4 ranks per hour, that means if i grind it for 4 hours every day i can “look forward to” reaching max rank in about 2 years
Thanks, but no thanks, the game might not even exist at that point or the game mode will be patched into oblivion and end up vastly different making all that grind go to waste.
Max rank 1000 is well attainable with some dedication, rank 10000 is absolutely kittened, even if you make XP tomes work in wvw

Subtle Speed Hacking?

Revenant can have permanent superspeed (+50%) by rapidly switching legends when out of combat.
even simply switching back and forth between Glint and Shiro gives +50% half the time and +33% the other half, which averages to about +40%

what would happen if a match is found while you are on the loading screen between maps?
You fail to accept, get put into the naughty corner and while the penalty cooldown is ticking down you go on the forums and post how there should be a warning when switching maps while in queue

Everything Wrong With PvP Beta Maps

pinning them to unranked selection ensures that an overwhelming amount of people will want to select the maps
Thats the point, to get as many people as possible on the map to test it
There either needs to be a separate category for map testing
right, lets add a category thats going to be used 0-2 times per year and split the small pvp population even further, although not like more than a dozen people will queue up in it
making the achievements connected to the new map “limited time”…
see point 1
The biggest point of contention here is obviously the 25 wins achievement. Something like 10 wins should be more than enough
even just doing the pvp dailies with 2-3 games per day will get you all achievements in a month, but i somewhat agree, i maxed out all the other achievements on that map before i hit got even 10 wins, which then stood out like a sore thumb

Now that we got this out of the way, let me hijack this thread to point out what is actually wron with the current beta map – the artifact placement.

ele, mesmer and thief have a huge advantage on this map because blinking up saves a whole 10 seconds compared to walking . The channel time feels much shorter than the shrines in the Temple map, so interrupting someone is almost impossible if you arrive even a second later. Plus the artifact can be safely channeled without interference form the people below apart from some ranged skills with huge AoE.

The whole artifact alcove needs to be shrunk by about 50% to the point where if two people start out at the bottom and one binks up, the other who walks instead should have enough time to interrupt the channel

Situation:
When you encounter new special effects, boons or conditions on an enemy or yourself (especially in raids or fractals) the first thing to do is mouseover and read the details.
Problem:
Well good luck doing so if new (de-)buffs come and go several times per second and their positions shift back and forth all the time
Solution:
When an effect times out, instead of removing it from the list and instantly centering/left-adjusting the remaining effects, instead fade it out for 0.5<t<3 seconds. During this fade time the symbol is not visible but still occupies a slot and shows the mouseover description, if the effect is reapplied during the fadetime it reappears at its old position. Every t seconds effects that havent been reapplied are culled and the symbols are squeezed together again.

PvP doesn't need soloQueue to be an Esport

It’s not like you’re going to get better as a solo queue player anyways. There is no communication, no rotation call-outs or bursting targets
There is plenty of nonverbal communication going on. Apart from pings and map scribbles you need to watch your teammates, find out their build and role from how they play and pay attention to their skills and movement, that will give you indication whether they are going to defend, attack, or ambush.
Of course there is no place for any intricate plans that require precise cooperation, since you always have to assume a few braindead people who will cap close with 3 people at the beginning of the match (even in ranked league people want to get their daily RIGHT NOW). But a team with people who know what to do and can adapt even if others dont use #meta_build_Thief4b straight outta google, will have no problems against 90% of premade teams

Tldr: There is no need for you to speak what you are gonna do. Based on your class, weapons and everyone’s location, i know what you will do, because everyone has the same goal and tries to take the optimal route to get there

You should try solo queue, if you stop blaming everything on those pesky casuals you might learn a thing or two that will greatly benefit your teamplay
