so, here is my personal stance on this, the female female kiss should never of been incorporated into the game. personally i find it offensive and distasteful. I never thought i would see a same gander emotion in a game, it is not a success but its disgusting.
I m personally straight, if someone chose or wishes to be gay/ lesbian that is their right. but as a game developer to put that kitten into the game, that is very wrong, and i personally have lost even more respect for Anet as a company and the team here. I ask that in feature content u consider not to put such scene’s into the game.
yes i get she has a love ok, but the story would of been just fine without that kiss scene. unless your goal is to offend, and drive away players who dont want that kind of kitten shoved in their face.

i would agree with u with the exception i have already turned all that stuff down, and it still is causing issues, even guildies are saying they have lost half there fps avg due to this adjustment. anet installed since release the option to see tags with a nice little check box next to them. mine are still unchecked and yet i see the very things i dont want to see, so it is defiantly a forced annoyance. been playing since release with no real issues. so cant exactly say i don’t know how to a just the game settings already.

thanks to this bright idea to include Culling into the game and forcing me to see tags i dont want to see, my system is now crashing. for the past 11 months i have had no problem using my card over clocked and playing up to 12 hours or more in a day.
as of the 8/20 patch introducing this added crap on my screen, i am lucky to last more then 2 minutes in highly populated area’s, and for what a option that is being forced on me for no reason.? i dont understand what anet expects us the players to gain by causing un needed rendering, and textures to cluster F*k the screen up. i have played successfully for 11 months with no name tags but those in my group and enemy tags showing. and now even with the options un checked to show names i am still seeing a floating sea of tags..
pls anet undo this blunder of a idea because it really was not a good one a great one or even a hint of a smart one.

pls as stated above, u gave us the option to turn name plates on or off. i play with them off so i can see the game, seeing a sea of players names is just annoying, it causes my card to work over time for nothing,. if players want name plates u already put that option in the game from the start, now were being forced to see name plates, and for what.???
who ever came up with the idea to do this to "improve " the game should be fired . because they are not working in your favor, if anything this is one of the things that is a HUGE turn off. if i wanted to see a sea of name tags i can turn the option on. but i dont. so pls undo that part of the patch and give US the players the option to chose what we want to see.

you guys are kinda funny and hate to say it but looking at it to 1 denominational. there is no right answer for what to use or the i win build/ gear. if u want to maximize ur guardian, then be able to swap out ur bar, and gear according to what ur grouped with. example, i carry 2 sets of armor and 3 wep sets, a dps set and tank set, if i have 2 guards / or another war with me then dps cause the spread of heavy armor will keep mobs bouncing around and they can take some of the hits for me.
but if i have only med and cloth armor then i put on the full tank armor, swap my bar to survivable for myself and try to hold all mobs on me allowing the softer armor to avoid the dmg,
in my dps gear my hp are around 14.6k with armor at 2.7k in the tank gear its 17.6k hp with 3.2k armor, and no i am not using knight runes or tank runes at all ;D
but my bar reflects it as well in dps, its SY purge flame, summon spirit sword,
in tank it goes to SY, HtL, SYG or SoA, depending on what mobs and bosses we fight.
so to get the most from ur guard and group learn to be more flexible.
in EQ we use to have a running joke Dead dps = 0 dps. that i have learned is int a joke but a reality of any game. so theirs my 2 cents on this topic for dungeon guards

love the new content but again released to soon before u guys hammered out all the issues.
Achievement “Pick up” is not giving credit, have ran from top to bottom 3 times now touching everything, killing all the event monsters, spawning them myself. still no credit.. seeing how this is part of the living story and that means temp content. wouldn’t it be wise to get this fixed ASAP. its now been brought to your attention. fix it pls

u apparently stopped reading to short.. u should of read the next part as i stated
“So u know maybe make it so u don t need the pvp aspect.. or u can put a pvp version in for those who are the die hard wvw players.”

for players just like you who want to stay in wvw. i agree there is no easy answer, but they can put a pvp version and pve version in the game.
look at the dragon wings, i was prompted do i want to make this pve or pvp before putting them on my char. so they are aware there is a way to make it split

So GW2 game graphics amazing hands down killer, game play with movement again way to go guys 5 years of development well spent BUT, and now here comes the rage for u devs so if u dont like it well get over it or talk to me in game.. cause at the end of the day ur not the only mmo if u band me for not liking what i am bout to say .. so here are some "Suggestions for you to ponder and wonder "
start with ur dragons and world events…….. they are boring.. u stand on the front claw of a dragon hack away at it.. rinse repeat. what ur lead dev said u weren’t goin to put into this game.. and yet here we are.. if this is what the elder dragons LTs fights are like then i hope u have a wild hair up ur butt for something better down the road.. take something from one of the best dragon fighting mmos EQ,1
make Teq, and Shater move around . Not keep them static, put a tail swipe in there, allow for more minions to show up since they do have a army… they are commanders after all.
claw well its a waist of time never do it anyways.. beating a dragon with bb gun just gets old after 1 time.. after all this are wold events right?. why not make them worthy of the title. you gave them

2nd idea for you, i am currently working on a legendary. yet i really dont prefer to pvp and for some odd reason i have to go do that.. because i want the legendary i am willing to do the pve work .. but ur forcing me to spend countless hours grinding pvp. something i dont play this game to do and for a PVE skin of all things.. how smart was that call. and yes for u reading i know you can buy legendary weps in AH now. i get it but i never thought that was very smart to allow anyways. i like the idea of earning it. it is a LEGENDARY weapon after all.

So u know maybe make it so u don t need the pvp aspect.. or u can put a pvp version in for those who are the die hard wvw players.
ur jump puzzles allowing people to camp at the end to gank players.. in wvw cause that’s were ur "living story " reqs us to go.. really,, if thats how u do it the pls dont add anymore stories, sky pirates was a dud to me anyways. dragon bash fun. i just got to spend 3 hours for nothing.. when i could of put that time to working in the pve part of the world enjoying the other hard work u put into this game..
so allow it so when ur on a jump puzzle in the last 10% or so pvp combat becomes null, even in wvw.. or make it so pve players who like to pit our skills against ur programing ability can have another option. i ll say it before i ll say it again i didnt buy GW2 to pvp, i bought it because GW1 was a killer story, killer world and i enjoyed the pve aspect, not the pvp part.. and in GW2 that has not changed other then you forcing players to venture into areas of the game that will turn them off in stead of keep them involved.. if i spent 1 hour or 100 hours in wvw i still would not like it.. its a waist of my time to me.. not the guy who plays wvw and thinks pve is a waist of his time.. and that’s respectable. so. why force ur communities hand like that.?

And my last part. FIX the bugs that still linger from beta like bad farts …. almost a year now and my Flashing Blade still puts me into the world or below it… come on really ?
i am anticipating with excitement the next piece of the world u add in.. but i am hoping and praying you guys get with the program and kinda go back to what u advertised in development doin the 5 years u were makin the game

also quest is not updating after talking to npc, and hearing them say they will return to LA, quest log is still showing i have talked to 2 when i have hit all but the missing skirt

i dont even need to read the QQ and other things, because this first page is kind of summing it up.. all i can say is this. Anet pls pull ur heads out of ur @s* stop taking FAILED IDEAS from War crap, and pls go back to doing what made this game great, and took you 5 years to build…… cause if they are screwing things up this early in the game, then gw2 will be dead before it ever gets to its full size and content.
i say this on the ele forums cause i am a ele. but it seems not only this class is getting issues

vs the heavy armor, yes eles can not take hits. no cloth wearing class in any mmo i have ever played could take a hits without some kind of support. eles have that support, in there skill bar. personally i have not been removed from a group or told i am to weak, some times i am on the ground other times i am picking up others., as a staff ele, yes u heard me, i use a staff now. i find groups easy enough even pugs, and have never been told i am to weak. key is to know the class and play it well,
if ur like everyone else trying to take a d/d into a dungeon then yes u need to die a few times.. as your gear prob wont let u come into melee ranged combat and take that hit more then once. try switching to staff. figuring out , and practicing how to drop and over lay dmg down in aoes, and see what happens if u dont want to go staff then do s/d
but to say eles are hated, i am sorry i got to call BS
maybe a little under power in there staff/ and s/d yes, but that’s where knowing the spells and when to use them comes in

i prefer to use staff its fun for pve and the way i play i prefer to use glyphs a lot. both elemental summon glyphs and storms. i would love to see our leet skills given some love as u are basically reduced to 1 the greater elemental summon.
i would like to see them put in a greater glyph of storms and the way it would break down is : 120 sec c/d and the effects:
Fire/ fissure opens up shooting fire balls up into the air. and also crippling
Water/ comet storm freezing the ground
Elect / Electrical storm, lighting but more of it also blinds and stuns
Earth/ tectonic shift, crippling. bleeding, snaring, knocking down

to me this would give a lot more enjoyment to the class and allow for some build changes

hello fellow Guardians, i have read and agree with alot of what u are saying, there have been issues with us an i have sent in so many bug reports for flashing blades putting me into a wall or getting me stuck and there for dieing that i am sick at this point. i am fed up and tired of sending in bug reports, but that is not why i am posting.
my grip here has to do with my favorite way to play my Guardian S/S , M/S, to me our war counter part should be the master of weapons and we should be the wall that the enemy breaks on, and instead we are stuck with 2 shield skills and it really comes down to just 1 when all is said in done. SoJ is cool though the 30 sec cool down does mean u get about 1use per mob witch kind of sucks alot.
but then we have SoA and i can see the point the dervs were trying to go with that but tbh, its a wasted spot an a dead one, pushing a mob out of our melee range only pisses off the classes with us cause now if its a caster they just lost there aoe target, the other melee have run to go get back on the mob, and i find i hardly use it.. yes its a ok interrupt but 40 sec cool down for a push skill…… really,,,
what i would like to see in its place is something a kill option, like a throw shield, option, so we can pick depending on our play style and whats called for, allow us to throw a holy shield kind of like the wow pali (yes i hate to mention it but i did like that ability and it was useful ) let it snare the mob or stun them. and lower the cool down time on the shield skills so they can become more useful.
my other gripe is the mace, yes its the little hammer i get it but u try killing a mob with a mace u get 1 hit in a group and the rest of the dps have burned it into the ground. speed up the mace attack speed, not as fast as the sword but not like the hammer were anyone who knows the animation can just move out of the way. i think if those two changes were implemented then Guardians would be alot more fun to play.
I am not giving up on my Guardian as i played the para in GW1 even when they were beat into nothingness, but i am finding that my ele even with its flaws is a lot more fun to play at the moment. PS: did int mean to make a wall of text but ty for reading it.
