Who are Pain Killer [pK]
pK have been in GW2 since the launch, and some of us have played in pK in other games. We are around 20-50 online depending on the hour a day. We don’t aim for a big guild, and we never mass recruit, but we always have room for people who will fit into our family. We do a guild-clean every third month to cleanup inactive members.
pK is located on Gunnars Hold.
We have members from all over the World, primary around in Europe, but also from Australia, South Africa and Japan.
Our guild is built on a “flat structure”, and we are not depending on only 1 person, but the leadership are spread out. We have 2 guild leaders and 4 officers (Social/PvE, Recruitment, WvW and PvP). This means if a leader stops playing, the guild/TS/forum are not stuck, and everything will move on as normal (not that anything in our guild are very normal).
We have monthly guild meetings and we run a weekly event-planner. Everyone is free to host or suggest an event. We don’t want people to log in and expect to be entertained, so you are free to take initiative yourself and take part in the guild.
We don’t have guild taxes, but our members are always free to buy drinks-for-the-city and help gather influence this way.
What pK can offer you
A good and fun community, we run tPvP-tournaments, Guild Missions, roaming teams in WvW or guildruns in WVW, FotM runs and dungeons. All our members help participate and arrange events from jumping puzzle competitions to “hide seek”.
We have all upgrades available for PvE, PvP and WvW.
If you are a very small guild with almost no upgrades and you are looking for something a bit bigger, we are also interested in merging with other very small guilds.
We try to do weekly PvE, WvW and PvP events. More on that later. Besides that we offer GM’s at sunday 15 GMT (depending on members we sometimes do one at wednesday evening too), an organized forum with event planners, class discussions, off-topic area, officer meeting write-outs, and much more. We also have a private TS server with general lobbies, PvP lobbies and WvW lobbies.
For the events now:
- PvE
All of our members can actively help with this by doing stuff together. Everybody can shout out to do an event or plan it on the forums.
Dana will do some puzzle jumping, tripz invented hide and seek, …
- WvW
We have a couple active PUG-commanders in our guild, you might know them: Titus Aemilianus, Pulox and Brandon. We can use some more people to participate in WvW guild raids during the evenings.
- PvP
We have around 5-7 very good PvP players who cover most every class ingame. Though, at some times it’s hard to make an entire guild team due to real life and other game aspects. So if you want to PvP, either as ranked player or complete newby, you will always get into a team with a couple guildmates. TS coördination during matches by myself or another experienced guild member.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a new player or a veteran (or even champion or legendary!), everybody is welcome in pK! If you are new, we’ll help you with your questions and gearing up. If you are a veteran player, we do dungeon runs, we got fractal runners, we have people into ascended armour, and end-game is more fun when you can play together!
Rules
We respect each other and we don’t like drama.
Only represent our guild, we don’t like a half-dead guild by members who are active in other guilds.
We care for each other and help where we can. No one is “just a member”.
Communication is English in chat and voice.
We use TeamSpeak3, and for some events it require all can join this.
