I would if we had to deal with that guy in combat. That would be stupid, I agree to that end.

As is, I don’t feel the handle bar mustache is hurting anything lorewise or consider it immersion breaking.

If people wanted to make absolutely ridiculous characters, they could have done that long before they added a handle bar mustache.

Lol. That’s disturbing and funny at the same time. I do have a sense of humor but there is a time and place for such Shenanigans.

It’s fine for town clothes but beyond that I start to have WoW flashbacks and remember why I quit playing that game.

I still disagree.

I am a huge fan of facial hair and have two level 80 Norn both proudly displaying their beards. There is nothing lore wise against Norn having mustaches and in fact there is already a Mustache option that fits quite nicely.

However, a ridiculously over sized handle bar mustache does not fit with Norn/ Viking lore and is more reminiscent of 19th century fashion such as the old west with charatcers like Wyatt Earp and such than medieval vikings.

The only reason I suspect it’s been thrown in is because there has been a trend in the last few years with handle bar Mustahces in various TV commercials, ilustrations, and novelty items for its comical relief value as its quite silly by modern standards. I don’t blame ANet for trying to make money but its an obvious attempt to capitalize on this trend since there are always players who enjoy looking ridiculous as possible because it amuses them.

If they added a too too in the gem store I guarantee someone would use it and claim its justified for their 9 foot tall Norn zerker warrior but it doesn’t mean it belongs in the game imo.

I know some of you think the new mustache is awesome because its ridiculous.
Obviously its intended to be a joke and not serious, as it’s even drawn poorly/ fake looking compared to the “real” options.

I feel these sort of silly additions are marketing ploys probably concocted by the sales team (new options= hairstyle makeover kit sales) but ultimately hurt the feel and lore of the game (i.e. plush backpacks, Asuras with bright pink afros, giant handle bar mustaches) and represents exactly what I hated about WoW.

Might as well throw in some Night Elf Mohawk Grenades…..

Up until a few days ago I could access/ read the forums, but not post of course, without entering a password.

Recently it started requiring that I enter my log in even for just browsing the forums.

Is this intended? What changed or am I missing something?

Funny how my heavy armor Nobleman’s Helm covers most of my face and head yet still (thank god) manages to show my beard underneath with no annoying clipping issues.

Why is this not possible on the dragon helm which shows most of the face?

seems only good now if you play a female toon or a juvenile looking clean shaven male :/.

Also to Zaxares and ricky markham nothing personal intended towards quagans (well maybe a little) but if somone doesn’t address the rampant growth and rise in the quagan population they’ll eventually eat us out of house and home.

It’ll be worse than what happened to Orr or Ascalon. We need you to step up as a responsible member of Tyria’s community so grab your quagan bashing stick and start bashin’!

New possible acheivement:
Quag-ulation control: tier 1- kill 10 quagans; tier 2- kill 50 quagans; tier 3- kill 150 quagans; tier 5- kill 1000 quagans. Why? ‘Cause there’s too dam many of ’em!
Reward: A stern pat on the back from your fellow community and the satisfaction of a job well done!

Don’t forget to get the little ones too. They may look cute but don’t be fooled! Bash ‘em now or you’ll regret it later!

That’s right. Because bashing dragons is so last week and Tyria’s cute and cudwy (albeit vomit inducing) race and true menace to Tyria known as none other than the quagans had it coming!

Here’s the concept delivered by the lovable, bashable kittens themselves:

QUAGAN: Coooooo! Quagans peaceful, but quagans toooooo many. Please take this club and beat baby quagans. Pleeeeeeease kill quagans!

Now that we’ve got some inspiration and a solid concept to run with where to go from here? Some possible suggestions:

-Quagan pinatas- Can’t find a real quagan to bash or just want to perfect your quagan bashing swing? Why not unleash your playful side by furiously bashing the colorful, confetti-brains out of a cardboard quagan!

-Quagan-face face mask- Show your love and angst towards Tyrias most adorable amphibious race (sorry hylek, no one likes you) by adorning a fun and fashionable quagan face mask made from a real quagan face!

-Quagan-skin backpack skin- Why settle for the cheap plush alternative when you can adorn this sleek and chic accessory made from real baby quagan skin!

-Quagan treats- These hard candies may prevent you form having “niiiiiice teeth” and don’t give you a swiftness buff but they’re great for luring and drawing out unsuspecting quagans. Don’t forget to /wave to the little guy before you yell “Gotcha kitten!” and send them to the quagan mists with your favorite quagan bashing instrument of choice.

Well, that’s just a start but the fun doesn’t have to end there. Lets hear your thoughts on what you’d like to see for everyone’s favorite and hypothetical quagan bashing holiday event!
