As for the build, you say you like it because of its strong condition pressure. In what world is having a average potential of 5 bleeds on a cele amulet strong condition pressure? Oh and fun fact, the conditions you transfer and the damage they do have absolutely nothing to do with your stats so arguing that having condition damage from celestial amulet helps plague amulet is foolish and wrong

He was immob’d, and the way I immob’d him (twice) was not very obvious. And I lived through his berserker damage, yet he died to my celestial damage…People are saying that berserker is superior and yet this happened. ?
It means you have no idea how or why you actually won, but i’m glad i was able to teach you something about the class.

I play Celestial powermancer in arenas and do pretty well. I switch between ranked and unranked so the leaderboards will not reflect the true success of the build.

I like this variation because it is tankier and has a mixture of strong power damage and condition pressure. I use plague instead of lich elite for the clutch stability finishers and plague revives, and with celestial amulet the plague outputs strong condition pressure. Celestial also boosts the conditions I push onto opponents with plague signet.
Good mobility with warhorn and pack runes. Very high crit from the fury and precision from pack runes and celestial amulet. Very comparable damage output to berserker amulet.
Lich elite is a “win more” ability, in my opinion. You need to use lich while you’re still healthy and high HP so that you don’t insta-die. If you’re high HP, you’re already in a winning position, so lich is just “win more”. Plague actually helps you survive and relieves you from focus because of its high toughness, allowing you to continue being a threat in fights instead of insta-exploding from focus.
The reason you won that duel had nothing to do with running a superior build or anything of the sort. I’m not going to say that I wasn’t trying, but the reason why i lost is because i became a tunnel vision boss that spammed 1 straight into a well immob combo. It happens when you zone out. But c’mon, uploading one random duel in an unranked to youtube (without asking me) to boost your ego and help to prove a build is better is kinda weak and sad.

Plague signet also has no guarantee that it will hit so you better hope it is not random dodged, evaded, distorted, etc… Now for the idea that plague is better in a zerker based traitline build. Yes plague will help you survive more, but offers no where near as an impact as a lich can in team fights. Sure it lacks defense, but it can two shot classes like zerker thiefs and mesmers. With offense this strong, all it takes is knowing when to use it so you can snowball the map instead of turtling in a plague.

+1. This is really annoying to deal with and I hope this is fixed soon.
First and foremost, I want to congratulate ORNG on some amazingly fun and exciting matches. It was a true pleasure to be playing such amazing players at PAX. I know Tage got the mvp, but i want to point out that ROM did an excellent job at keeping his dps up and kiting when aimed.
Overall, it was by far one of the best experiences I ever had and want to thank Arena Net for creating such an amazing game and hosting a wonderful tournament.
This is going to easily be the highlight of my Friday if Genyen can pull it off….
I rarely post on these forums, but i feel that i should for this particular change. The opener is one of the most important parts of a tpvp match and these changes remove two vital parts to a necromancers opener. The first of course being the DS which has obvious negative implications behind it and the second being that is that they will no longer have access to “free speed” supplied by weapon swapping.
Yes, you can use spectral walk, but that will waste a needed stun break for the opener. Yes, you can run warhorn, but warhorn does not fit in most viable necro builds. I’m not going to stop playing necromancer, but it truly has been downhill for us ever since the August “dhuumfire” patch and hopefully arenanet finds a way to amend this random nerf.
Leaderboards are a joke. A number doesn’t mean anything, it’s how you play.

I have never had this problem.. until the most recent patch. I cant even get through a solo q without getting this problem at least 3 times. Unfortunately this problem is on Arena Nets side and we are just sitting ducks until they release the cure. Please send frequent updates as i would hate for this problem to still be around when I have to play in the Tournament of Legends two.

From what I’ve found, when a person removes boons from a foe it is based upon an unmentioned list of which boons take priority over others. Despite completely disagreeing with what boons are deemed more important to be removed according to Arena Net’s list, the most troubling prioritization or rather lack there of is how stability is in the bottom three list of boons to be removed over others. Especially in spvp, I find stability to be an extremely powerful boon and would request the balance team to rethink their prioritization or at least allow the players to create their own list of what boons get removed first.

The new staff noise for the skill necrotic grasp has gotten worse with the new patch.
Why does PAX think so highly of themselves? I’ve seen them fight and it’s no where near pro status and i believe they are barely above average.
