My room mate is too despondent to post right now, so I’m hoping someone here can give him some hope. He currently doesn’t have access to his guild wars 2 account, and feels there is no way he will ever get it back at this point. I’m hoping there’s a way he can get it back. here’s the story.
So My room mate has been playing GW2 since it came out and still loves the game. He got a hard copy of the game, But he lost the box in the years since the game, so he doesn’t have the serial code. The Email he used to register his account got hacked, and he lost access to that email a while ago. He registered his cell phone number to the account, but he switched Carriers and lost that number, and now has a new number. He had the PC remember his password, so after years of not typing it in, he forgot the password to his account. this was fine, till his computer just fried this morning.
He’s grieving at the moment. anyone have any words of hope for him?
So I’m using my roommate’s account to post this because you need a game serial code to post here.
Anyway I unfortunately let my PC remember all my passwords, so when I had a hard drive crash I lost all my passwords. I have a new computer now, I have forgotten my guild wars 2 account password and have no way of accessing my old e-mail. I got the game years ago, and do not have the cereal code. I might be able log in through an old kittenty PC that might remember my password.
Are there any options to get my account back, and playing on my new pc?
I’m not looking for ways to make tons of gold. there are plenty of videos on how to do that on youtupe, and they all look boring. This is a game. I want to have fun while making my gold.
Here’s how I make, and don’t make my money now. I don’t farm more than a half hour, and if I farm once a week, I’m farming a lot. I love crafting so I don’t sell my mats. until recently I made most of my money doing events, and selling junk. However I discovered the LFG feature last week and this made doing dungeons regularly, convenient and fun for me. Now dungeons are my biggest source of income.
This got me thinking, are there other profitable features of the game that I may have neglected?

Thank you. So follow up question.
What is the primary focus of each class?
That does not answer my question.
Well the hard PVE and PvP content is why I want top tier builds. and there is debate on whether or not you need cc or more survivability for said content. From my perspective the debate boils down to one side saying “it’s easer if I round out my build” and the other side says “if you focus your build you can do it a lot better.”
I’m in the “Focus your build” camp because once I learn a boss or player I can time my dodges, heals, and CC breaks to not need more survivability or CC.
So my question is can warriors be as good at other focused roles as any other class, or will a good support guardian always outmatch a good support warrior?
So I have a fantastic DPS warrior, but now I want to play other roles. So I’m thinking it’s easier to make multiple armor sets and design multiple builds and switch between them on my warrior, then it is to level up new characters.
So I looked up warrior guides to give me an idea on where to start. But the vibe i’m getting from the guides is that the warrior is only really good at melee DPS and what looks like options to make builds other than melee DPS are really just things to give your Melee DPS warrior your own flavor. (You can make a support warrior, but you’ll never be as good as a guardian)
Is this true? Are you settling for less than the best you could be if you make a support, tank, or ranged DPS warrior; or do these people just not know how to spec and are blaming the game?
And if there is a primary focus for each class, could you please lay it out for me? They all seem to be able to do everything to me.
