You’ll be disappointed to hear that vistas were not originally part of the game.
Ha i wouldnt say disapointeed, but now knowing that it makes complete scence, becasuse tahts all vistas feel like, somthing to drag out and waste your time, as if we were paying to play WoW! lol
“screwy charactor build setups ect”
Yea stopped reading there, your just lost all your credibility sorry :/
Listen Im happy you can sit there and accept the mmo standard, but i demand better.
Sick n tired of games making me use google and wiki, just to figure out stupid crap like the dif between healing and healing power on gear, lol
So I bought GW2 just about a month ago, and just wanted to share my feelings on it so far. I havnt played many mmo’s but played enough of them to know most have things i don’t care for like subscription fees, and screwy charactor build setups ect, so this isn’t my first go on an mmo.
Easily said, game looks great, and plays tight. Gathering a group in the open world or dungeons can be a bit of a chore at times, but i expected that coming in late, and doing lower end content. First couple weeks on the game were a blast, leveling progressoin felt good, discover new areas, do “quests”, replace old gear with new, and I was happy with the speed of my progression.i focused on Str and Def traits, with mostly healing and condition dmg on my gear, while using regens to keep me well more than alive as I leveled, it allmost felt too easy.
By week 3 I had pretty much decided I will NOT, on part of my refusal, be getting 100% map completion, simply because i cannot be asked to run around these maps looking for that one way up to these special little Vista locations. WTF is this Crackdown on xbox!? I’ve been told that you need 100% map to make Legendary weapons, if thats the case… pfft. Chasing these vistas Not Fun.
Week 4 and I have hit level 75. Still have lots to uncover as far as the map goes, and stil have plenty of quests to go back to, which is good. Though my build seems to have crashed out, no longer can i stand toe to toe with 3+ mobs attacking me and survive, even though these mobs are 15-20 levels below mine. I understand the level scaling, but somthing changed when i hit 75, my build jsut wanst cutting it anymore, Ive repect and regeard so much jsut today trying to figure out WTF, but ive only gone broke. months worth of coin collecting gone.
This seems to happen alot with games i really enjoy early on. For jsut a few small reasons the fun disapears that much faster.(L2P right? dont, I use /wiki..)

So how much is a server transfer? Nah I’m sure I’ll make a nice home where ever it may be.
Thnx much for insights guys!
Say, whats the chances I have to DL patches after this massive download of the game? peace

So a “high” pop server may not be the best if the population centers on pvp or pve.. hm yeah bit of a stab in the dark i guess. I see myself being more of a PvE guy doing dungeons ect, with some pvp thrown in..
Well thats funny, I was pretty much set on Human for race choice. So in general, like Regizer said, the higher ranked WvW servers are more populated?
Well I wasn’t expecting release day population counts :P Long as there is a few folks around i can help out vise versa, I’ll be looking for a US (east) server, any suggestions?
Thnx for replies, seems friendly out there.
So I am currently (still) downloading GW2, about 12hours in, 73% hope to get an hour of play in befor days end, with luck. Read mostly good if not great reviews on the game and decided to try it out.
Can anyone tell me what the starting areas are like as far as number of players? Are new players still coming into GW2? Just have a slight fear the lower level content might be a bit of a ghost town at this point, this the case?
See you in a few more hours, looking foward!
