Chaotic persistence, which adds 3% boon/condition duration for every boon on you, doesn’t work. It adds neither boon nor condition duration. This is a pretty big bug, and effective breaks the entire chaos trait line.
In the release announcing the nerf it was stated that the damage increases were to compensate for the other nerfs to the class. If that was the goal, I think scepter deserves a similar buff as many chronos use it the same way sword is used for fights that require players to range frequently. Unfortunately, sword is now strictly better and we just have one less option for our builds.
In other words, I don’t read anything into the fact that we haven’t seen a response. It could mean that the staff tasked with resolving it are deep into the fix and haven’t come up for air long enough to post — or that they’ve seen the in-game report, but not this one. (Of course, it could also mean no one agrees with us that this is big enough to prioritize.)
Well lets hope its the former and not the latter. I know action camera users are the minority, but it’s still used but a substantial number of people and this bug is really making things difficult for them.
I don’t see anything in the hero panel but I do see increased duration from skill tool tips and the duration does seem to take effect when applying poison to enemies
Can we get a confirmation from the devs that they are aware of this bug? This is a huge deal for everyone that uses action camera. I’ve essentially been playing since HoT release without quickness ever working.
A bug report has been submitted, but the devs have yet to comment on this and it didn’t show up in the latest update of the known issue tracker.
When using action camera, if a player holds down left click to attack quickness doesn’t take effect with certain weapons on certain professions. Below is a link to the reddit thread that has a video as well as a list of some of the professions and weapons that have been tested.

I understand that you can’t pass a ruling on every third party program that pops up. However, you should be able to give us specific answers on some of the most prevalent and controversial questions. Can we please get a clear answer on DPS meters in general? Are they okay, not okay, okay only if they don’t read memory? The community has been discussing the issue for quite some time and it’s a legitimate question about the terms of service and legal contract we signed.
The guidelines here don’t do much to answer the question, because they cover everything from Team Speak to SweetFX, which I know you aren’t against using. So please, what is arena net’s official stance on DPS meters?
Yesterday I was removing two stacks of candy corn from my guild storage. When I drug the first stack from storage to my inventory, it just disappeared. At first I figured in snapped back to the guild storage inventory since items sometimes do that, but it didn’t. It just disappeared. I had no other stacks in my inventory so it didn’t get mixed with anything else, and I only had two in my storage. After this happened I had none in my inventory and 1 in my guild storage.
I don’t really care since it’s just a stack of candy corn, but I figured I would mention it since I would hate to see this happen to someone with something of real value.
Love masteries, have a few ideas to refine
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

First off, I love HoT and am very happy with my purchase. Great work Anet.
I particularly love the mastery system. I think, as a concept, it is brilliant and should definitely be the direction GW2 continues in. Modeling an MMO off of metroidvania is brilliant.
That said, it has been a divisive topic because some people think it’s grindy. I think this is a problem that can be resolved with one change: Not all masteries should be tied to experience. Having all masteries tied to experience encourages players to find hte activity that rewards the highest experience and grind it, and do activities unrelated to the masteries. Gameplay wise, it doesn’t make much sense either. How does killing wyverns for experience teach me the Itzel language?
Rather, some masteries should be connected to story progression, collections, map completion, and other activities. Here are a few examples of what I mean:
-Exalted lore mastery: This would probably work best if it was tied to certain POIs or hero challenges around the map. Or players could complete a collection of exalted related items, items that are rewarded from completing meta events.
-Gliding: This should probably be taught to the player through an event in the personal story. As the story progresses, additional events teach it to the player and as they complete those story instances they complete the mastery. There could be additional challenges in maps to earn higher masteries not required for story progression.
-Fractal: This is a mastery that would work well for experience, but experience should be experience earned in fractals (obviously with a boost to fractal experience as well). Alternatively, it could be linked to completing certain fractal related achievements or collections. Better yet, have some masteries based on experience, some on collections, and some on achievements.
-Pact commander: Of all the masteries this would probably best follow the current experienced based model. It makes sense from a lore standpoint that the pact mastery would increase as you participate in world events, bosses, dungeons, renown hearts, etc.
-Finally, I think elite specializations should be a mastery, not based on hero points. Tying elite specializations to a mastery allows for there to be some lore behind the specialization. I was kind of disappointed that there wasn’t much lore and it was just “get more hero points.” What should be done with the current hero points in HoT? Well convert them to other masteries. Rather than getting 10 hero points for fighting Itzel blade dancers, you get progress toward your Itzel lore mastery.
Obviously those are a lot of changes, but maybe some food for though moving forward. The stated goal was to make HoT feel more like Zelda/Metroid and I think these changes would go a long way to doing that. It would encourage players to engage more with the maps, the lore, and story while discouraging repetitive grinding.

I’m unable to link my GW [redacted] and GW2 [redacted] accounts. I contacted support, all they did was reset my GW password (which I didn’t need) and told me to follow the directions to link the account (which I’ve obviously tried).
Here’s what happens when I try to link the accounts:
1. I log into my gw2 account [redacted]
2. I click on the link accounts tab
3. I enter my original GW login [redacted] and type in my password.
4. When I hit link account, the screen that asks me to hit OK pops up, however my account details have changed. Rather than showing the display name for my GW2 account in the upper right corner (Octavian.9736) my display name is changed to a long cereal number in the format of (8 digits)-(4 digits)-(4 digits)-(4 digits)-(12 digits).
5. I hit the OK button in this new account and am taken to the main page of this account. When I click on the link accounts button in the bottom left in this new account, it gives me the congratulations this account has been linked message and says: "The following Guild Wars 2 account information will now be used to log in to both Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2: E-mail:
[redacted]
6. Okay, fine. I try and use [redacted] to login and play GW2 then (never mind that I don’t want to use this email to login because it doesn’t exist anymore). It doesn’t work, and says I don’t have access to GW2 on this account. I try and log in under my original GW2 account (and the account I actually want to use: [redacted]). I login and play like normal, but the two accounts still aren’t linked. Went to the scrying pool and everything to check. No dice.
Maybe I messed up somewhere, but I’d really like to get this straightened out.
