So a friend just came back to the game and I’m trying to show them around and play a newb with them. Some areas we can be in the same ‘instance’ of a zone, and others we cannot. An example is ‘Plains of Ashford’ we cannot seem to get into the same instance to play, while in ‘Black Citadel’ we can.
They can literally walk into Black Citadel and see me, then walk back out to Plains and I follow but not find them. No option to ‘join’ in party. We’ve tried various techniques to no avail.
Their home server is different, but since we can do this on some maps and not others (even while in the same party) it has me confused a bit.
Newegg removed the GW2 item linked from https://www.guildwars2.com/en/retailers/#UnitedStates-physical
It now leads to an error. Upon searching Newegg, they no longer seem to even carry the retail copy of the game.
Just thought I’d them know. No response needed.
Anyone else have any ideas on this or experiencing the same issue?
So… What you meant to say was:
“Thank you ANet, for allowing me to not purchase something that in my opinion isn’t awesome. Can’t wait for the next one you release, which I hope to like.”
I’m not sure what happened, but sometime around this last major patch my right mouse quit working properly when attempting to use it for camera control. It constantly loses focus, and the cursor goes flying off the screen and thus I no longer have camera control on my character. It is super annoying for jump puzzles, dungeons, and pvp.
Possible causes:
- I added another monitor so I am at 3 monitors now. GW2 is on the ‘main’ in ‘fullscreen windowed’ mode. No change to any other settings I can think of. This uses Eyefinity in my AMD/ATI 6850 card, which is the same card/drivers I had before.
- The most recent big patch for Queens Jubilee.
More info
- Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, i5 2500k, 16gb ram, 128gb ssd for OS, game is on an old 1TB HDD.
- Mouse is a Logitech wireless that has no issues outside of GW2. Right-mouse works fine in countless other games. I also replaced the batteries with new ones, and moved my wireless adapter on the PC to a slot with direct LOS to the mousepad area. Neither helped.
- I averaged about 30-40 fps on my original settings. I have since lowered Shadows and Textures a little, so my current FPS is in the 60 range. Doesn’t seem to be tied to low fps sitations.
- This happens in all forms of play. WvW, sPvP, Dungeons, Fractals, Open World PvE.
- This happens on all classes I play regularly. (Mesmer, Guardian, Engineer)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
UPDATE1: I went ahead and updated to the newest ATI/AMD drivers (v13.4/12.104). I also updated the application profiles. This did not resolve the issue.
