It’s not fun.
Off to play Battlefield 4!
Titanic Leisure Club [SWIM] is a new WvW guild that is recruiting for Devona’s Rest.
We’re focused on running skill group, GvG, and improving small group tactics. We run a group almost every night around 9:30 PM CST, except for a few nights a week where we take a break and either PvE or sPvP, or just rest in general. We’re mainly in it for the fights and ninjaing towers and camps
We can train new members in wvw group tactics and fighting, so we will take players that are familiar or unfamiliar with wvw fighting tactics!
Also, if you want to come from another server and need help with transferring, we may be able to help with some of the transfer costs.
For more information about ourselves and the guild PM:

This closely follows the Death Penalty aspect of GW1, and since GW1 was the bomb, I support this.
I think even bringing back the idea of “Morale Boosts” from GW1 in the form of the bloodlust buff would be a great idea too. If your server has 1 stack of buff, chest armor cannot be damaged on down, if your server has 2 stacks of buff, leg armor cannot be damaged on down, if your server has all 3, no armor is damaged on down.
For me, this would make bloodlust buff more interesting and worthwhile. Also, if a server has all 3 and is rolling everyone, the other servers probably have outmanned in most maps, so they won’t need to repair anyways.
The idea has flaws I’m sure, but off the top of my head it sounds interesting.
“the others servers probably have outmanned in most maps, so they won’t need to repair” ? you really wrote that… So basically, the winning server gets to not care at all about armor repairs because they are rolling everyone, but the losing servers are penalized by it. But hey, since they are losing, who gives a s*** right ?
And this doesn’t look like GW1 death penalty, at all. In GW1, DP didn’t make you lose most of your strength and or rendered you even more vulnerable. And you didn’t have to take a WP or use the gem shop to get rid of it.
Outmanned buff effect means you don’t have to repair armor…so outmanned servers wouldn’t be penalized.
And how were you not punished in GW1 by dying? 60% DP was insanely difficult and demoralizing to a GvG team in GW1, especially in top 100 matches. I would rather have damaged armor. And if you had read my post at all you would realize that outmanned buff effect causes no damage to armor on death, and the bloodlust buffs would remove it as well incrementally. Plus, I said there would be some flaws in a system like this, but it sounded interesting to me.
Before you come into a thread and act like I shot bambi and jump on me, read the post please and also realize you are talking about a non-existent feature in a game.

Titanic Leisure Club [SWIM] is currently recruiting all classes for wvw on Devonas Rest!
We try to wvw every night around 9:00 – 9:30PM CST and go til about 1-2AM CST. We also do PvE and sPvP (just not as much as we WvW :P). We are fairly new and small, but will mainly run as a guild as more join. If we don’t have enough on I will tag up.
We ask that you rep our guild when in WvW, but other than that, feel free to rep a guild for PvE or whatever you like. Just try to be online and repping at the specified time that we play. Our only other requirement is TeamSpeak.
Feel free to drop a PM here, reply, or whisper me in game with questions or more info.
Titanic Leisure Club [SWIM] is a new WvW focused guild recruiting for nightly WvW (~9-9:30PM CST)! Looking for all classes for organized play. TS Required. Whisper/Reply with questions
This happened to Anvil Rock for two matchups a few weeks ago. Our BL map was really bad about DCing a lot of people very quickly, then the next week it was happening in EB to people from all three servers.
Sounds like ANET may have some server hardware malfunctioning or a bug in some net code. It could be a multitude of things from server misconfigurations, bad cables, bug in code, dying hardware, or a dying UPS. But I would surely say it is on ANET’s side.
Hope somebody from ANET checks this thread out.

Your English is understandable, no worries! I assume that they plan to only allow world ability points to reset at the beginning of each season (which is potentially how WvW will work from now on), but I can’t answer for them. That is only my speculation.
Remove the idea of fighting for your “server” and introduce real guilds. That’s who you fight for in WvW. Its Guild vs Guild vs Guild instead..
Anet, it sounds like he is describing Hall of Heroes hmmm…. I would be all for that.
Guys, calm down. Anet is not all about money. That is definitely what keeps a business going , but I don’t think Anet is trying to force anyone to buy gems. There are plenty of things they could be doing to get more money out of the players, but instead they decide to give us free content every 2 weeks. That is pretty awesome. (And before you say anything, no I do not play GW2 for the PvE).
Now onto the problem of population. It would be nice to see the transfer cost based on WvW population, or maybe even really low transfer prices for everyone at the end of each WvW season (that would really shake up some servers). What would also be interesting is to see the population of each server fleshed out when looking at it in the server list.
I am on Anvil Rock, so I will use it as an example.
Anvil Rock
-sPvP Population – High (in relative terms)
-WvW Population – Low
-PvE Population – High
This doesn’t really help solve the problem, but it would be more information for a prospective player to look at. The population problem in WvW is a very hard problem to solve, because people like to win, and that means being on a higher ranked server. They can’t force people to move to other servers either. You also can’t force PvE players or sPvP players to play WvW, so there will always be an imbalance in WvW population, even if they drastically cap the amount of players on each server to even them out.
The problem of population is difficult, and being a developer, I don’t envy them when trying to solve it. In the long run, I see two potential solutions. Offer free/low cost transfers at the end of each season to players, or make WvW servers separate from PvE servers.
One of my favorites is from GW1, an HoH guild called
Titanic Deck Chair Attendants [SWIM]
To the 3 FC guys who just killed me in green keep in EB, all I wanted was vista. :’(
I didn’t even attack any of you, just pulled a few off cliff lol. I suppose AR will just have to take keep again …also Aldon’s. I need Aldon’s.
Also, that 3 way zerg battle in SM lord room earlier (3 hours ago) was epic. Good fights!
You might want to rephrase your last paragraph, because it totally destroys your argument.
I agree that sometimes the matchmaking system doesn’t make good choices, but it is an algorithm that I am sure they tweak as the system runs over time. Just like any computer AI, it is going to need tweaking to make it better in the long run.
