Nevermore Progression Block

Situation: While being on my legendary journey, I came across this fellow called Less Longbow. He was said to have long-lasting relationship troubles with some Demagogue (some say it lasts for more than 250 years already!). However, it seems the quarrel is over and things are settled as both Demagogue and Less are chilling out in their private hangout (including rebound protection spells which keep out any unwanted legendary hunting visitors). What are they doing in there you ask? Demagogue is reaching out into the Mists and Less? Less is sleeping on the ground, probably tired of the quarrel he and Demagogue had.

Where: Brisban Wildlands, Aurora’s Remains.

What: progression block involving a Dynamic Event: Draw out and destroy the Demagogue’s spirit.

How to (possibily) fix: a) Enable PC to resurrect Less Longbow within the currently blocked area; b) allow Legendary hunters to purchase “Power over the Demagogue” collection item at one of the friendly Shining Blade ghosts just outside the blocked area; c) reenable the event when Less Longbow dies within Demagogue’s blocked off area.

Edit: other suggestion by someone else: Less could also be immortal (being a spirit and all) and deal 0% (or really slow) damage, keeping him alive and the event progressing.

Edit2: as I just did the event after the server probably changed or reset; I assume the bug to occur when the Crystal Runner is escorted to Less. When she reaches him they both go into the Demagogue’s area; however, if a player fails to kill the Demagogue, he will likely kill Less while failing the event without resetting it properly.

Dredging up the Past bugged

Stumbled across this and it sounded familiar. Are you only able to enter the first specific instance at Lion’s Arch that is associated with this personal story step? Sieran is standing up at the front while Kekt is standing back in the old trading post quarters, correct?

What bugged it for me was that I first spoke with Kekt (after talking to Gixx) and then spoke with Sieran(somehow it already shows the star above Kekt’s NPC while you really should be speaking with Sieran first). Reloading the instance and then speaking to Gixx first, then Sieran and Kekt after her, fixed it for me, but I assume that’s what you’ve already tried, judging from your comments? Have you also tried doing so while rebooting the game?

“The text below is based on Guild Wars lore but is purely fan-fiction.” Author’s Note on Guildmag.

Not saying that Guildmag didn’t do a fine job (heck, they were mostly all of the GW stuff I could access when I was on deployment), but it’s fan fiction.

While the article is written in RP, and this part is actually the interest of the author himself, I wouldn’t say our articles are all fan fiction. Most things stated in our magazine can be retraced ingame. There is, however, the fact that connections made between things found ingame might turn out to not be correct or not the path that the ArenaNet folks themselves will take in the future.

That said, if you’re looking for 100% true (new) facts, check out the interview.
