Guys, it’s just natural for the game to progress.

And it doesn’t seems natural for you to understand that no progression depends on stats and perequisites

All these speeches are good but only turn around using proper words or not.
The big thing is Anet spoil their game to fit with the player minority that play the game the less fairly way.
That really show how much Anet cares fot their respectful fans.

Were Exotics really not worth it?

I got mine to maximize and optimize a set dedicated to a certain type of gameplay in lvl 80 PVE for the entire life of the game.
And pursue other exotics part for other gameplay and skins like you that I could keep for ever in max stat.

The final optional and really interesting thing in this game aside enjoyment in all type of content is to have build your 2 or 3 own maxed stat equipments that you want with your favorites skins on it. And be sure never touch them if you made the right choice for you. You can then working mastering your skills and fighting style and enjoy jumping puzzle, exploration, learn new tactics in dungeons, and throw yourself in PvP with seriousness.

The problem is, I will have to buy additional transmutation stones to fit my skin with the ascended armor and then buy additional transmutation stones to fit my skin with the legendary armor, and then…

Smart idea from Anet to make even more money they already have in mass.

I don’t see it as a lie because that implies they already knew they were going to add a new tier when the manifesto was published. It’s more like partly changing their mind along the way based on findings with the live game. Probably if they would’ve had certain data / feedback or had already started developing the new content in time for launch, then ascended gear would’ve been in at launch.
If applying the same logic folks now use to call them liars to RL, this means that every time you change your opinion on something you have been lying about it prior to that.
It’s part of development to change things along the way while still trying to hold to your design philosophies and although it’s on the border of it for me the manifesto still holds true for now.
Almost every other MMO I’ve played I’ve seen less rage about more obvious empty promises or changing to something priorly stated would never be done.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand the concerns of folks but I think too many are overreacting. Especially the childish threats of ragequits before the patch is even live and feeling entitled for refunds etc.

We don’t speak about changing opinion we speak about breaking moral contract with thousands customers for no proper purpose.
They always planned to release new content periodicaly and they always swear not to add superior gears.
That’s it.

I’m going to throw out a wild concept here that I don’t think I’ve seen anyone talk about in these forums ever.

There are good casuals and bad casuals.
There are good hardcores and bad hardcores.
That is all.

Of course.

Sad thing we have to suffer from few bad hardcores who doesn’t take time to enjoy a game and think.

All is optional from that point of view Holska. But I agree with your statement.

The point is exotic should have been the top tier gear ever in this game and all dungeons doesn’t require any perequisite aside the level. That was engraved in stone as a fair contract with the future players.
Today all of that is only a lie and those like me who wanted to explore all the content buy fine transmutation stones to apply their favorite skin on their armor, in the same time rewarding Anet for their good game and philosophy.

As you say there is already enough grinding for every thing we want so to add extra god tier gear that are requiered to overcome dungeons and show your favorite skin while playing HL parts is too much for many person that have put faith in this game.

No one needs to have numbers and artificial resiliant stat to experience new content and challenge and have fun in a game.

No. Posts are deleted when pointing incoherences and betrayal behaviour from Anet.

Many great and factual posts intelligently written have been deleted for exposing the truth.

People targeted by this article ar just idiots and yes they have right to play the way they want.
Here is exposed the cause. As you say it is ANet problem and alienation.

Beren, 1% or 10% doesn’t matter. The problem is a very small minority with no common sense decide for all the other.
And you ask in what way they carry weight ? simply because the compagny change radically the game design against all their promises and manifesto to fit the egotic desires of that minority.

As you may see, people like me who stand agaisnt this betrayal see their post deleted every hour.
The real question is why following few percent rushers who don’t play the game and don’t care any second about its background and gameplay depth and on the other and bannishing and silencing their first hour fans of each moment who want to make part of the game content.
Why take so many risks to tear the community appart and lost many of their players of heart who will quit the game and deter their circle of friend to join in.

These people didn’t have any right to make propositions that fulfill their gameplay objectives for a simple reason :
They don’t play the game, they spoil it, they don’t want to particpate to the overall content because they don’t are interested in that. They even don’t involve themself in the community and the only thing they express is after 2 weeks of play in the official forum :
“this game is to short. I rush the content and now I feel bored”
“I want a more powerfull armor”

What the point of a more powerfull armor ? Nothing

Add new content that is progressively more difficult to overcome is a good thing. But no need to add new tier gear for that.
With new gear the new dungeons will not be more difficult and here is the vicious circle.

These people doesn’t have any common sense and their only goal is to see numbers increasing, wich when we spoke about a fantasy game is totally nonesense.

This society is completly perverted by robotics state of mind, and global denial.
Some people complain without work around to find that their state of mind is useless.
Some compagny throw away its logic and core philosophy to follow the desires of the upon ones.
Lots of people try to understate the concept of “saling his soul to the devil” and protect this huge compagny against all logic.
The rest of the people with “half a brain” as red in this forum and I add “half a heart” trying to put things in order lost their only game designed for fun and community link.

That is the really disgusting reality.

Sorry for my awful english.

It’ll happens the same thing than me. They will answer that they don’t have the tools to refund you with your lost items and that they don’t pay back gemstones that you have already used IG.

We have been purposely trapped by this compagny who don’t care anymore about common sense and ethic regarding their community. All they want is you to buy another set of transmutation stones to help paying nonesense new stuff developpement that grant access to the new dungeons.

There is no need to complain about getting more a less easily an exo set. Because the game was design for that purpose.
It has been announced, it has been repeated, it has been implemented. Because this state of mind is the core of Arena.net. And because all player of the community who’s got a brain is satisfied this way.

So people complaining about getting exo to easily have paid a game without any clue about what it really is.

There are plenty of games to level up your gears constantly. This game was specific and very smart but now it will become a grinding game like all the others.

So basically we’ll have every 3 month :
Grind to get the new gear
Grind on dungeon to get better gears
Letting the rest of the game content aside

It doesn’t matter how much the new gear is powerfull or how much hard it is to obtain it.

What does matter in this game is having fun with your guild trying to master every type of content the game has to offer.
There are many difficult dungeons to try to beat without dying.
Many new explorable zone and jumping puzzle.
Many things to do in WvW with your disorganized server
Many skills to master in the very fun and well designed structured PvP
Unique assortment of skin to build on your not enough optimized exo set
New content every month to be sure everybody can always do something new or better.
Legendaries
and so on and on and on….

And be sure not to worry about grinding for the newly introduce term “new end game” gears

This is all about nonsense and bullkitten.

From a 6 hour a day player who was far away to get bored even without new extensions.
