It’s possible. Developers always promote their stuff, and will even do so stealthily. Then consider the fact that the guy who made discord is known to make something and turn around and sell it, and it seems to fit.

He needs to get those users up, to increase value of the product so he can turn around and sell it to some other company.

But this one really sums up your problem – look, this is a game, people ONLY play this for fun. You look at the game as hard work with set goals you must fulfill, and I don’t actually care if you want to ruin your life worrying about nonsense, as long you do not start to pressure other players do the same. What you are doing is sucking the FUN part out of the GAME and leave it only with obligations and timetables, spreadsheets and retirement plans. When actually people want to get away from all that.

You see the objectives in WvW as the ultimate goals, the reason it even exist. I only see them as excuse to find enemies, fight them, laugh and enjoy.

But go ahead, if you think this is what trolls do whole day, then sure

I know right? I once sat down to play Chess and I pwned the opponent by moving my pawn and taking out his king on the first move. Instead of gracefully accepting me as his better, he put my pawn back and told me that I’m not allowed to do that.
Like, hello? I am trying to have fun, lol, this isn’t some job. Anyway, after I redid my move, and he ruined my fun for a second time I screamed, called him a tryhard, and flipped the table.

But in all seriousness…. given the rate and justification needed to make UI changes in this game….. the external profile solution is significantly faster.

All they’d have to do is put in a var to save whether it is true or false along with something in the option players can mark and then a simple if-else.

if character keybinding is true then load charnamekeybindings.txt
else load keybinding.txt

charnamekeybindings would just copy-pasty-changename of keybinding.txt should it not be on the system.

Same could even be done if you wanted multiple keybinding profiles so you can have multiple bindings per character, except it would then require a drop-down menu where you choose what you want. Would need to support custom names too, but that’s nothing.

It’s a lot cheaper than everyone who wants this feature to go out and buy some overpriced keyboard.

The Dynamics Projector Module is a backpack skin. You can use it to change the appearance of a backpack at no Transmutation charge.

The Backpack Straps are for those characters that have no existing backpack.

Seems backpacks are easy to make with professions. I guess I may just toss that unless someone can think of a reason not to. The free transformation deal is nice though.

With the help of a high selling weapon I decided to go ahead and get a glider skin. I got the dynamic glider module, after I set it up I was left with Dyanmic Projector Module which has Skin Unlocked on it and Backpack Straps which is just there.

Are these important?

Uh. good thing the game doesn’t rely on character names but uses account names. Makes sense for account names, but they even get around that by adding .####
I see no reason to have character names be unique.

Why are names unique anyway? Why not let people name themselves whatever they want even if someone else already took it?
