Downed-state is for average people who is not as skillful – that’s unfortunately the truth. I said it, and I’ll say it again, if any group with more than 3 people against 1 is losing (all 3 finished off without kiting/running away aka ele RTL), those 3 people are just BLAH… Sucks, but it’s the truth.
Yeah an ele or thief can take on large groups but that’s if they kite for a long time. I don’t see an ele going in and stomping 3 in a row without having to ride the lightning away and resetting the fight almost all the time.
Downed-state makes this game a cookie-cutter, have fun – there will be people who agree and disagree with it just like in any other discussion/argument. And in the end, it will probably not be removed.

I seriously dislike downed state in pvp period.
Reasons:
1- it’s nearly impossible to 1v3+ – I would really love to test my skills going up against 5-10 and killing all – now that’s skill.. and this game just doesn’t allow that.
2- In an outnumbered zerg vs double # zerg = double # will always win for obvious reasons – LET ME REZ YoU
It’s just not like any other game in this game, it’s just so annoying not to be able to pick on a group of 5 alone, very ! Aside from 1v1, it’s definitely making the game a non-skill teller – also making this game a cookie-cutter… for below/average players…

Simply short answer is “Every class in right hands will look OP to those who are not as skillful as their opponents”.
Given the truth of at least 75% of Eles right now are D/D and in their 0/10/0/30/30 builds, most think that now that they’re all specced up, they’re good, but in reality, most just die as fast as other classes because it is not only about what spec you run, but about how you utilize your skills.
I, myself, run with 0/10/20/30/10 (never ran Evasive Arcana) and have no problems against any classes – yet again with 2800+ armor, thieves/guardians/mesmers can annoy the hell out of me. And those necros with Condition swaps from Boons..
Again, any class will shine in right hands – tho I don’t really want to say that for BS Thieves too much since all it takes is 3 buttons. (I hope anybody can execute a simple combo >.>)
P.S: Request for Ele’s Elite to be Kill Shot so I can do 12-18k dmg.

In my opinion, it is a good decision for the time being to remove the orbs completely and re-think the way of implementation for the future.
Many people are ignoring the fact that these orbs will be back once the required setup is completed and implemented to prevent these sort of hacking actions – it was driving many people crazy and de-motivating more than anything to fight for the orb to teeth and lose it in matter of minutes sometimes.
Point on decision, thank you.

Acquiring all 3 orbs on 1 server does make quite bit of a difference in the fairness of fights. While it doesn’t completely mean ‘GG’, it does have a huge advantage.

If IoJ stands up and shows against JQ, it’ll be a 3-way battle, although SBI’s main target will be JQ as it was this past couple weeks. Looking forward to having a populated server joining into the battle.

Yep, agreed with the above comment 100%… During the night-time – known as prime time of NA servers (when everybody comes back from work, eats, etc etc, then plays a little), SBI puts up a great fight, and we usually end up getting really close to each other point wise, and even grab orbs. Honestly, JQ having 3 orbs making everything really hard in the first place – that’s 150 stats for each player – quite large. Tho we still turn out with good numbers and display a great fight – that’s when the fun is… Then people go to sleep; in the morning, score is back to what it is usual 600+ JQ, rest has a couple camps or towers if lucky. Don’t know if there’s a solution for that… At least we can tell what our population made of mostly (hint: NA players). Really, nothing can be done but expect more EU/Oceanic players on the server for balance… that’s all. During the day, I guess leaders and most players have work, so we grind our teeth until the night time comes so we can start taking stuff again…from the beginning… really frustrating losing fully upgraded keeps and orbs after fighting for 6-7 straight hours :\

Although HoD has only a few people left, they still make a difference on the scoreboard by trimming down our forces with their 40-50. With that being said, JQ is totally ignoring HoD in EB which, in return, HoD ignoring JQ – cuz HoD knows that they just don’t have the power to touch JQ, and probably they don’t wanna get wiped off the map if they mess with JQ. Hence JQ’s target is SBI and thus causes issues. It’s kind of an unfair advantage when one server ignores the other and gangs up on one ‘unintentionally’ —-
Really… what is there to do vs 2 servers pressing from both sides ? JQ with the huge bandwagoners and remaining players from HoD..
Not even talking about borderlands – JQ has had 3 orbs for the past 2 days, yes SBI held 1 for what… 6 hours ?

if your personal story is completed correctly, that’s when you get that checkpoint. Else there’s no way to get in there. So, keep progressing on your personal story.
