Thats the thing, I cant figure out which weapon is best for Power damage and sustain damage, most of the time i use twin swords on my Mesmer, but im guessing based on what Morrigan said, Mesmers are best used with Power type damage and not Condition damage?
I am trying to figure out what is the best dps build for a Mesmer, I feel like my damage is blah compared to my Guardian and both are within 1 level of eachother with points spent into Power Traits, can anyone give me some pointers on how to maximize my Mesmer’s damage? He is level 12.
However as Vayne pointed out below, it isn’t wrong for you to voice your opinion in any way, just know that when you give such a apocalyptic title to a matter that is very trivial, you will draw the haters and snarky posters to you like metal to magnates.
The thing is….no matter how I have ever titled my forum topics on any forum, it didnt matter, people came to them with usually the sole purpose of treating me poorly, so why should I bother giving my threads titles that are not over exaggerations, when no matter what I do people are going to give me unfair treatments anyways? :S
Using the suggestion of adding a symbol or something, in the case of a duplicate name singles a player out. It calls attention to the fact that they are guesting, or that they transferred. It’s also like saying “haha you couldn’t come up with something your own, you had to copy ‘x’ other person”

Uhhhh what? How would adding a last name be any different from having a Symbol or Initial (initial for the server your from) in your name, placed there by the game itself, to tell people which server you are from?
You get to choose your last name. You can pick your server, but there is limited selection. What if your friends play on a server where you don’t like the symbol?
Oh wait I know, make a post like this one complaining about something that isn’t a problem.
Come up with a last name and be done with it. there are plenty of threads on the forum for ideas on how to create an inventive, unique name.

So its wrong for me to point out a flaw and give a potential solution then? You dont belong on the forums if you think its wrong for me to voice my opinion about something that really is a flaw. If they just make it so that an initial for the server your own is next to your name then it would be much better then having to add a last name, so instead of say Luna, it would be Luna-GM, GM standing for Gates of Madness if the character originates from Gates of Madness. It would simplify things and remove the need of using a last name.
This is because you can transfer servers. Therefore the name server is shared among all servers. It makes sense. Perfect sense.
Then couldnt they do something about that? Like add some kind of symbol or indication as to what server the character actually comes from? If they did it right, you could have people on different servers with the same name, but because of the symbol next to the name, like an initial of some kind, they could have the same name. I mean you have to admit, that as a result of this, it has become difficult coming up with names that only have just a name and not a first and last name approach, cause honestly, who here really REALLY wants to spend time typing in someone’s first and last name just to whisper them?
Okay, I just want to point out what I am referring to. The horrible flaw of this game, one of the biggest in my opinion, is the fact that unless im mistaken, character names are shared throughout the ENTIRE game, if a name is made in one server, the same name cannot be used in a different server, simply because of how the game is designed. THIS IS BAD, because as a result, I am now unable to come up with a name for my 5th character because all the names I would use, are all taken, likely by people on a completely different server, I have been spending hours, HOURS trying to come up with a name and still CANT, all because of this huge…unacceptable flaw.
I could add a last name to remedy that, however why would I do that? Last thing I need is someone coming up to me and wondering why I took their already in use character name and added a last, and honestly, it just makes me feel like im not using my imagination, point is, i have NEVER had this problem before with another game, then again, other games dont interconnect their servers in a manor that Guild Wars 2 does…
