What to do about the fog?

I’m really digging the beta, but I’m already finding the near-constant white outs of my screen to be annoying. I’m talking about the fog/cloud that’s way too frequent.

I can make them disappear if I set Shaders to low, but then everything else in the game looks terrible. Is there another way to change the settings on the fog?
Thank you!

Because Quaggan aren’t playable yet.

Charr, the second smartest race?

I think the Asura and Sylvari next to the Gate in Black Citadel say it very well. I don’t remember the exact wording, but they say something akin to “The Charr are strong enough to smash a wall down, intelligent enough to know when not too, and cunning enough to tear it down smashing just one brick.”

Sylvari, as much as I don’t like them, are biological masters. They can grow a turret plant that functions just as well as a Asuran or Charr turret. That shows one way of being intelligent.

All the technologies presented are facets of the same gem. Whether that gem is used to shine light more brightly on a plant to make it grow stronger, to be the core of a powerful laser weapon, or be the diamond head of a drill, it is still useful.

Also, a human might use that gem to make a beautiful ring to gain a diplomatic victory, and a Norn might use that gem to…well I don’t really know. Something shamany. Give it to Magpie and gain magical pecking powers as its Avatar.

Gosh that rambled. Anyways, point is, all the races are smart in different ways. Which is the smartest is up to your preferred methods. I like the Charr the most, in my opinion.

Charr Hidden Pistols belt skill has the pistols pointing directly into the air when they fire.

I really want the tiger one for my tigery charr. It’d be the perfect mini-me. A pity it’s a rare chest drop

All those names are 8/10. Closely related to their classes, and very cool.

My Engineer is Jayne Hobbes, a pun off of Jayne Cobb from Firefly, and Hobbes of Calvin and Hobbes. Wanted my buddy to make an Asura named Cal Reynolds, but it was taken.

If Jayne had a proper surname name, it’d be Ironslab, because he uses shields a lot.

Playing a whole round perfectly is 300

:) I can play exactly 1 percent of a round perfectly. Never was any good at guitar hero…

But I can fail a ton and still get it! Zergrush is a legitimate strategy!

Oh joy. Oh well, easier than failing a JP for a few weeks!

Ring in the Season seems to be the only Snowglobe achievement I can do, because I have been experiencing major lag and DC issues lately (Not Anet’s fault, it’s my cable provider).

I really would like to have Apprentice Toymaker as my engineer’s title, because it’s really awesome like that.
To do that, I need the 12 achievments. I can get 11, I think, depending on how the Toypocolypse is.
Any Timed JP is impossible with this lag, and PvPing with lag is a deathwish at any time, and having to grab a bajillion presents only makes it worse.

My question is, how many times must I flail the bells before I can get Ring in the Season? That seems the only possible way to get the 12th achievement needed (again, barring Toypocolypse being way harsher than assumed)

Thanks for the Town Wear

Male Charr is awesome in it. That beret is just the coolest!

Alas, don’t have 700 gems…..yet.

I wouldn’t mind a ‘Sniper Mode’. The way warriors use their burst skill is so radical, it’s a shame engineers have nothing like that at all!

And gosh, some very good in-depth breakdowns have been made!

Also disconnected at the last minute, it’s making me so angry and sad that my head hurts. The people showing off their fancy bags is the least helpful thing for that.

An entire weekend without validation. Please give us aknowledgement or something.
