I read posts like this all the time and I totally agree with every point you make. Has ANet ever given a response to the ranger such as upcoming fixes to this?

I am sick of keeping a closer eye on my pets health than my own. Even the bears have been dead in 1 second leaving me with a minute CD on swap, greatly reducing my already low damage.

You can’t avoid the fact that the change WoW implented (reduced AoE damage to pets) changed everything to the better. It will change everything in GW2 as well, making us more favorable in endgame while resolving many damage issues and whatnot… Make it a trait and it will be one of those you can’t be without.
