Hate being forced to do achievements

There is an extreme excess of mastery points in the game, and many are simply doing events or something simple in a story instance. I didn’t want to play wvw for all my legends but I did it anyway because the legends are meant to make you do a lot of stuff to earn them.

Would you like to see more "realistic" sets?

I mix and matched the leystone armor just fine…
That’s the medium coat and pants right there with other stuff and I absolutely love it.
Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean other people don’t. I’m all for them making simpler armor skins if some people want that but I feel they should still keep making sets like these. Having a wide variety is best.

Objection to old cutscenes

I wish they would bring back the old cutscenes for certain instances. I like both the old ones and the new in game text over the had ones where you can move around but if everyone in the scene is stationary, why can’t we have the old ones too?

Jumping Puzzles are getting out of hand

I agree that they should make the puzzles less trial and error with guesswork, but I actually like some of the challenge that comes with some difficult jumps. Guides are always available, just wish I didn’t have to use them every time for certain puzzles. Don’t make em dirt easy, though.

As for being part of collections, so what? Most aren’t that bad with a guide.

New Infinity Tools Op

I bought the infinite tools for aesthetic, functionality, and QoL purposes. And the fact that these new tools make the functionality of my old tools inferior kittenes me off. I got the new tools because I like the animations for a character, but I’d still like to use my cosmic tools on another character without feeling like I’m missing out. I’d like to be able to skin the tools any way I want without feeling gypped.

[Suggestions] Gemstore Items

To go along with Graymatter’s suggestion, I was kinda upset that the new Unbound Magic Tools would make me have to switch out my old tools that I prefer the animations of. It would be great if maybe you could get “infusions” for the tools that you add to any unlimited tool, allowing it to gain that bonus when you gather. So I could infuse my Comic tools with it and still enjoy that animation while getting the bonus.
I had also thought that it may be a good idea to sort of overhaul the infinite tools. Would it be a good idea to make it so the infinite tools are basic with no special animation at first, and you gets skins for them? Maybe have it so when you buy, say, the Cosmic Mining Tool, you get a normal unskinned infinite mining tool (like the ones in that basic bundle) and it unlocked the Cosmic Mining animation which you can then skin the tools with. It would be the same price, 1000 gems, for 1 tool at a time, but it gets you an unskinned tool + the skin you wanted. That way you can pick and choose which skin to have on each character if they have the tools but you still have to get a set for each character. Could also add the previously mentioned “infusion slot” like we have for AR but for tools.

An engine of existing character names in Gw2?

I’ve never had too much issue making a name for a character. Yes I have some pun names that I had to use special characters for to get around, but I just look up how the umlaut makes the name sound different, laugh at it, and just enjoy having pretty much the name I wanted. It’s also kinda fun trying to come up with a pun name that isn’t already taken. Makes you get creative.

New Infinite Tools, why not separately?

They should have created a basic “Unlimited Tool” for each type that had a medium cost attached to it.

Then they should have sold the skins (and the affiliated animations) separately allowing your basic “Unlimited Tool” to become any of the new tools as you desire (just like buying an outfit).

Finally, they should have added an “enrichment slot” to gathering tools that gives you a % chance to obtain a specific bonus item (sprockets, Azurite, UM, snowflakes, etc.) when it is equipped in a gathering tool. Unlimited versions of these enrichments could then ALSO be sold on the gem store.

This system would have not only permitted players to have significant control over their customization and convenience, but would have resulting in MORE gemstore revenue for ArenaNet.

Fully agreed.

Thirded.

Yes please.

I’m more upset that I’d have to use tools with animations I don’t much care for just to get the bonus. It makes all the tools I already bought inferior despite me still much preferring them. I bought them for a reason. Would have much preferred the unbound magic bonus being an infusion I could apply to old tools to give them that effect, or at least for that to be an option released alongside this bundle.

Want to minimize AFK farming?

Considering I utilize my pet as a ranger to tag mobs for things like SW meta while I do something like open a chest, no, a pet tagging something should count. I’m using a part of my class to get participation in a kill, it’s part of my damage and I can use it to conveniently do something else in-game like uncover and open chests, or harvest something.

If you want to stop AFK farming, make the game see them as AFK if there is no input from a keyboard or mouse in X amount of time, regardless of if something has attacked them or a pet attacks something.

Legendary Armor: Feedback [merged]

I was wondering if, since the legendary armor allows you to switch stats easily and you don’t lose runes when switching them, this will prevent Anet from one day possibly implementing build sets into the game. I personally think all the legendary armors don’t look that great and I don’t particularly want to spend a ton of time getting it only to trasmute it to something that actually looks decent.
But I’d really like to have build templates one day so I can have multiple armor sets for a character and easily swap between them

Where the Green Beans at?

So I am trying to level up Chef on one of my characters, and I saw on the wiki I needed green beans for a certain recipe. It claims that you can only get Green Beans from the karma merchant, Albin Chronicler, or from Gift of Mawdrey II. So I ran over to the karma merchant, completed the heart aaaaand, he doesn’t have any Green Beans for sale. Is this a bug, or did I miss some update?

Flamethrowin' Engineer help

in Players Helping Players

Before anyone says it’s bad. Yes, I know, I am capable of using the Google. However, I just made an Engineer who is currently level 16, and I’m hoping to ultimately have a flamethrower build on him. Because, you know….a bulky flamethrower wielding cat man sounds fun. Kinda just want it to wander around PvE, never been a big fan of PvP and I have yet to try WvW because I feel like I’ll irritate everyone with noobness. I just want to burn things when I feel upset, you know?
My current problem is, my main atm is my only level 80 and is a Ranger so…I don’t know much about Engineers. I’ve only been playing for a few months as well, so I’m still kinda new. But from what I’ve seen, I have Berserker crap on my Ranger and I’d like something different, so I’d prefer to run Condition Damage with this flamethrower and just watch the world burn. My problem is, most guides I can find online are pretty dated, and I’m not sure of all the changes that have been made since them.
I’ve seen a few Condition Damage builds that say to run the FT with the Elixir Gun, but again, I’m level 16 and it’s hard for me to really understand a lot of this without being able to use it in game yet. They say it’s best to prioritize Condition Damage and Power about equally, then try to have Toughness and Precision as the secondary stats. Is that a good idea? With some of the traits I’ve seen that Engi’s get, that seems pretty good, since they have a lot of stuff that can proc on crit, and Toughness from Juggernaut and such.
But…I’m not very good at figuring out exactly how I should hybrid this stuff. Any advice would be appreciated, and soz for being a noob. But if I saw correctly, the FT got a 33% damage boost, that’s gotta count for something, right? ;u ;
