I joined vVv after I stopped playing for a good 3 or 4 months (darn you flame and frost!!) when a good friend invited me over, and I have to say it definitely made my experiences much more enjoyable. I probably would have stopped playing multiple times if not for the friendly people that fill this guild to the brim, or the close ties you can easily form with pretty much anyone. It’s the only guild I’ve joined over a bunch of rpg’s I played where it really feels like a home. It isn’t a clique with four or five people that constantly talk with each other while everyone else is just kind of there; everyone is incredibly welcoming, and everyone is wanting and willing to listen to your thoughts, regardless of whether you’re an officer or someone who just joined.

It’s just an incredibly friendly place where you can feel free to play how you want, and have a support group at the same time. Anything you need, the guild can offer. Missed a round of guild missions? No problem, they have an entire day dedicated for re-doing them over again for people who missed them. Need to get Dungeon Master? Not a problem either, people would be happy and willing to help you through any dungeon, and ask for nothing in return. I should know, I had people run me through Arah 4 for a good 5 hours, and we managed to make it incredibly fun and enjoyable, even through all the dying! The fact that vVv goes above and beyond, and makes up fun events every few weeks, with cool rewards for the winners, is just icing on the cake.

I’ve been here for a year, and I’m just happy to share the splendid experiences I’ve had, and I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone interested to give it a try. The people will win you over

Why Can't I Switch Class?

Simply put, it’s how the game was designed. All 8 classes have vastly different mechanics and playstyles. You can’t grab a sword and become a warrior because you can’t change the elementalist’s mechanics to that of a warrior. If you want a class-less game, give the Secret World a try. It’s almost guaranteed that GW2 won’t shift to this.

Pretty sure ArenaNet said that they will have free content updates, as well as large expansions to the game

GW2 replaced Majora’s Mask as my favorite game. You’ve done good, Arenanet!

No healer or tank

While there aren’t any tanks or healers, you’re still expected to play smart. Going through a dungeon with 5 glass cannons is suicide. A warrior can offer support with buffs and banners, and can trait to heal allies with shouts, and a thief can throw around blindness to really help take the load off for a while. You have to play smart. You can’t, however, just label one guy a “tank” and expect to faceroll on your merry way, because it doesn’t work like that.

Edit: Also, how did you not know this already? GW2 breaking the holy trinity was a major talking point for ages

I’m assuming they would offer barbers and similar stuff on the cash shop in the future. It’s something I’d buy.
