I’ve been replaying Living Story recently, and something that really annoys me is how Taimi, this child, manages to continually make a race of geniuses look dumb in comparison. So, my question here is simple. If no living Asura is smarter than Taimi, is Snaff at least her intellectual superior? Taimi’s intelligence feels a bit forced, and this would at least make her seem more flawed and believable (Of course, she’s disabled but still).
Human Male. All my characters are re-imaginings of important NPC’s in a D&D campaign of mine. One of my personal favourites among them is particularly hard to do – or at least used to be. Why? Because it just so happens he is textbook Mallyx revenant. In pretty much every way. So, I’ll most certainly be making him my revenant.
A new weapon, straight from classic fantasy, competition for the Greatsword of Warriors and maybe even a melee cleave for Necros! What’s not to love?
I see. The name I have in mind is fairly short and simple, but also fits the naming conventions of the Sylvari, at least to an extent. This makes it trick to add a letter to it. I have no idea what it means, as it is taken from a fairly obscure name in Tolkien Elvish (Amras). I have used this name for characters in other names, I suppose, most often accompanied by a surname.
There is the underlying problem: I want my character’s name to sound sylvari, without being extremely long and elaborate. I have friends who play this game and will expect me to name the character Amras, after an Elf thief I played in the olden days of D&D (his inspiration in a way).
I may end up doing something like Valiant Amras, as he has a Wyld Hunt of sorts – to defeat a human necromancer who schemes to replace Grenth as the god of death (one of my my other characters).
But yeah, I might end up changing the name entirely.
Thanks for your advice,

So, I would like to create a Sylvari thief. The problem is, the name I would use is taken. My first instinct is to add a surname (likely Dawnshadow, as I’m going dawn cycle thief (Priory Tomb Explorer type thief that is)) but the big problem I see is – Sylvari don’t have surnames.
So what should I do? Choose a different name? Or just use Dawnshadow and claim it as sort of a title?
Thanks,

7/10, That’s pretty good, but it seems… Guardian to me.
My thief is named Amras. Somewhat uncreative, I know.
I’ve never finished the personal story, so correct me if i’m wrong, but wasn’t Zhaitan’s corpse just left where we killed him. This seems like a risk, as dark magic would likely linger for many years near the place of his death, allowing, say a necromancer to harness it to whatever ends they so desired.
Again, not to familiar with the lore, so if i’m mistaken, then inform me.
