I think that would be nice to have… to be able to inspect other characters armor that they’re wearing. For instance, you see someone in Lions Arch and you think, “Man, that armor is cool… I wonder what it is…” I think it’d be cool to be able to see what it is
So, have any of you placed Sims? I know it’s a bit of a weird transition, but you can customize just about everything. You pick specific eye shapes you want, and you can change them from there. I understand they’re two different types of games, but I’m guessing that’s the type of thing you’re looking for. And with Sims 4, it’s really user friendly. I think that would be a good comparison for what a lot of people would want for their character customization. Although, to be honest, I think too much can make your character look super weird. But I agree, there are just some things you want to change, but can’t, because it isn’t part of the face you want.
The only reason I could see someone wanting a mount is if they didn’t have the money to take a waypoint somewhere. I like gw2 the way it is. Sure, there are things that I wish were different, but I don’t want to turn this game into WoW
It sounds weird, but it would be nice if our pet’s names stuck and didn’t disappear once we had to exchange them for another we had (one that isn’t equipped). I don’t always use two pets all the time, and often times I need to switch them (dungeon or PvE) and their names disappear.
My personal opinion is if you want to play a “ranger” without a pet, then you should pick another class. My thought is, ranger = animal pet to help fight things. I have a pig and it fights marvelously. He hardly EVER dies. A lot of other classes can use bows, or whatever the hell else you wanted to play a ranger for.
So, there are events, like The Frozen Maw, that have multiple events all tied together. I’ve been present for the whole series of events and didn’t get credit for parts. Now, I don’t know how it’s calculated that you get bronze, silver or gold on an event, but it’s frustrating when I’m actually present and fighting and don’t get ANY credit for an event because I didn’t do enough damage or I didn’t put enough damage on a specific target. With guesting there are a LOT of people at events, and they’re ending WAY to soon, not to mention some people can’t even DO the event because of the amount of people. I would just like to be able to get credit for an event I actually participate in.
There’s one where the hair is up in a pony tail, like sea weed or something. Were you meaning more of a down-doo?
There are some mini-dungeons in the world, they just aren’t instanced. Each has a bit of a story around it, puzzles to solve and a chest and/or achievement. Some have champions, but I’ve been able to get them done. Because they aren’t instanced, often you’ll have other folks to work with without having to put a party together in advance.
I didn’t know about these either! Thanks for saying that I know there are those jumping puzzles, which just irritate the heck out of me. Do you know of any others?
So, I have yet to be able to enjoy a dungeon because I only play with one other person, and I don’t know my guild mates too well. To to the dungeons, it looks like you need five people. It would be nice to have dungeon type things where you could go in by yourself or a couple of other people (the difficulty would maybe scale to the amount of people?). I just wish there was more to do in the game. It feels like it’s just a bunch of the same thing (because it is). I get bored and I find it hard to play the game, even though I do enjoy it. Anyway, thought that might be something fun to do. Something kind of like the personal story things, but just, everywhere, ya know? I don’t know. Seemed like a good idea in my head.
This again. Aren’t overflows identical to the real shards?
They are, but they are set at different times to regular servers.
For example, let’s say on Tarnished Coast the Shatterer is about to land, all the pre-events have been done it’s just a matter of minutes before the fight starts. On the overflow however, the Shatterer may not be ready to land at all to the point where the pre-events are not even active.
Sure people on the overflow -could- wait for the event to start there, but as there is no timer to indicate how long until events start, there is no way of knowing how long people are going to need to wait in the overflow to get the event to start.
There are people who SIT and WAIT at events for them to start. There is a website that has the timers that are relatively correct for the main map. I personally have seen, while doing some heart quests, people waiting for over twenty minutes for events to start. I don’t know if these people are guests on the server or if they’re actually people on the server trying to just be there so they don’t miss the chance for the fight. The fights these days are ridiculous. They don’t feel like boss fights. I barely get gold when I do participate in them because everything dies so fast I can’t get more than a couple hits.
Maybe boss life should scale with the amount of people who are participating? I don’t know. It’s just an idea.
I might be missing something, but what would be the point of NEEDING to do a boss or an event with your guild or with someone in your guild? Does the guild get points? Then I suppose it makes sense wanting to do the even with them, but if there is no reward for it, then it doesn’t matter. I have found no issue with being in a group with someone and then JOINING them in their map. But setting the timers the same might work. I realize that certain things need to come to fruition before the event can occur, but setting timers up at actual times of day would be great too.
Maybe not turning guesting off, but something my boyfriend has suggested is making the timing on events the same for all overflows. That way if you do get stuck in the overflow you don’t have to sit there and wonder when a boss is going to be up.
