Also, for your MF testing, not sure if you know this, but there is anti-farming code in the game that I don’t think anyone has details on really. I have been affected by this before and it is definitly there. Was farming a bugged event that waves of enemies kept coming non-stop for an hour+ and after a while the mobs stop dropping loot completly locking you out until you stop farming completely for a period of time (30min I think I waited before getting loot again)
This is for GW1 and not 2… but GW2 probably has something very similar

If you want to do more accurate calculations, go to the pvp mist area and get some STEADY weapons from the second tab (i think) on the weapon vendor…. They offer no damage range and hit for low amounts…. this will give you some more accurate numbers to deal with instead of dealing with damage range on other weapons….
As far as I know… there is no difference between light/med/heavy armor in dmg calculation other than the simple fact that lighter armor has less armor on it… they don’t follow any special rules…
Just wondering, can`t you have a member transfer to another world and give them temporary lead and then transfer world and take it back from him and keep the guild?
Cause I know that guilds can invite anyone to a guild, even from other worlds… anyone tried?
note: My world is mediocre and currently losing, so I am not looking to do this, but like the OP said…. if any guild actually thinks they are the driving force of the server, take the challenge since everything is free still.
Something to think about is how everyone has access to dodge. If you assign a value to dodge depending on the gear you use, you will find out that dodge is way more valuable to a glass cannon build than a defensive build. Dodge gives enough room for a skilled player to avoid the big damage giving them an advantage when going glass cannon.
Maybe a different approach to dodge ANet could take is have the endurance bar scale depending on the amount of thoughness/vitality you have. So for exemple, in a glass cannon build the full endurance bar would allow you to dodge 1.5x and on a defensive build, dodge around 2.5-3×. With the regeneration of the endurance staying the same for both or maybe slower on the build too.
Something to think about.
Gear doesnt matter much… this is more about a specific set (pwr/tough/vit) than any other issues. It is the only set that is unavailable by crafting. There is other ways of getting the set like WvW(250 to 400 badges) or Dungeons or Karma (42k a peice)
I agree the set should be craftable but going for some other set in the meantime and changing later once you get enough currency for that set is somewhat ok for now. In a patch later on it should be added to the crafting table however.
I think this is caused mainly because the loot key and pickup key are the same, I would love to see an option for different keybindings for :
-Loot
-Rez
-Finish
-Pickup
With the option of having the same keybind on multiple of them if you so choose. i.e. F for loot only, G for Rez/Finish and H for pickup.
For the most part I think that the downed state is fine with a few exceptions, like some profession’s downed state skills being a bit too powerful. But I think the one that frustrate me the most is when a mob was aggroed during the fight and I put the enemy into the downstate and the mob gets killed giving him a free rally…. The rally should only be given out if the killing blow comes from his own world… not the enemy’s.
This is already in place as well as a limitation to how many siege structures you can have in one area total (not just by type).
Didn’t know that. However I am specifically talking about the numerous rams that can be placed on doors to take them down in well under 1min. This is a bit too quick as it does not allow time to go defend.
I dont have any problem with it…
Wanted to add a suggestion to AN:
An option to have enemy names be the color of their world would be nice.
When engaging 3 way battles, it would be nice to make a quick estimate of which side has alot more ppl and names are a nice way to find out if they had a specific color. Not everyone would love this option but I would and if this was checkmark option it would be nice.
Currently, looting in WvW can be a bit problematic (getting locked into rezing while trying to loot or just missing a lot of bags because of intense fighting). The change that was made in the beta from having loot bags at your feet instead of on the corpse was a nice change but still a bit annoying to keep looting in combat/action. The option to have all loot instantly distributed into our bags until they are filled would be nice. After our bags are full then having them be a loot bag wouldnt be then end of the world.
For a massive zerg and “zerg guild” it is quite easy to take a tower or keep before any reinforcements have time to gather to defend. Even as a small group of under 10ppl, taking a tower under 5min is very easy.
The problem is with the rams/siege golems stacking on doors. DAoC had a hookpoint system to limit the amount of siege weapons used in an area. While a hookpoint system would be an ok solution it also prevents creative ways of using siege weapons in other areas (chokepoints for example). I beleive a radius around the siege weapon preventing an identical siege weapon from being made would be a good solution. For example, if a ram is on a tower door, no other ram can be placed in a radius of ~600 around it. This would limit building tons of rams to take down doors too fast.
One of the problem with this however is how to deal with siege golems, in the beta there was a video made of a 100+ siege golems destroying doors in a few seconds (like under 10sec) and they were moving around with a mesmer portal to get on the doors instantly. I can only imagine this is gonna be a matter of time before peaple are rich enough to start using this strategy more.
