Hey Barbie, played with you today and unfortunately we got a alt on our team, won’t say the name since it’s not allowed.

I agree with everything you said, unfortunately the leaderboards right now are not a measurement of skill and I doubt ANET will be doing anything since it’s been like that since season 5.

I’ll not even bother playing this season after the huge rewards nerf and the low population, I’ll not even talk about the HoT powercreep, PvP will never get become bigger if new players can’t get in.

Im on 9-0 in my placements, I will play the last match a week before the season ends, get the plat badge and be done with pvp until Anet does something about it.

Yeah, probably but getting on the leaderboards and then fall to bronze because of decay is kinda meh, I have no desire to play this season unfortunately.

If I freeze my placements on 9-0 and then play the last match on 3 days before the season ends I would not get decay right?

I just want the rank badge, really.

So, my motivation to play this season after the nerf on rewards and decline on population is almost zero, I’m 9-0 on my placements right now, and I was wondering if I played the last match 2 days before the season ends, would I be placed on plat like last season or bronze because of some sort of decay?

I know that to be on leaderboards you would need “x” matches by the end of the season, but I just want the rank badge.

I tried asking support but didnt got any help besides a link to the wiki that didn’t explained it.

I feel like Anet doesn’t know what to do with thief, the change endurance feels unjustified, nerfing our mobility and survival.

While pretty much all other classes got buffed on pvp.

I feel like the change to channeled vigor as unnecessary on pvp, thief was weak on season 5 and now it’s even weaker, we can’t 1v1 any class properly, our only role is to decap and +1 fights, if we throw ourselves at mid it’s just a AoE spam show where we are melted, thief life is hard against blocks, invunerability, bunkers, I urge anet to look on thief statistics like http://imgur.com/A3xhLFx for exemple and reconsider the thief balance changes, we’re the WORST 1v1 class, we’re the WEAKEST class, we cant take damage.

Only good players has change at winning on pvp, a normal thief will just drag teams down. Please, look at the statistics and reconsider some good changes on thief.

I LIKE how ANet changed GS for the BETTER! LB #3 change is GREAT!!

I DISLIKE the changes to DH F1 and trap heal… Come on now! We don’t have over the top survivability.

I only hope that GS will be on par with sword/shield or focus. LB/GS should burst the mess out of people! Feel My Wrath Should be a Meditation… Make it give only us quickness… I’ll use it =]

What a bunch of bullkitten this balance patch was, Guardian buffed, Warrior buffed, Engi buffed, and they nerfed endurance regen on thief and we stayed mostly the same as last season.

Yeah, I guess we keep +1 fights and decaping cause or 1v1 potential is still the same kitten though we lost more survivability, I’ll just throw myself at mid and hope for the best aoe kittenshow ever.

Im on Tarnished Coast (5th) currently full while the 1th and 2nd servers are with transfers open while our wvw population is small compared to them.

It got to a point where we’re playing in peak hours, we had a 20 man squad against a truckload of people on maguuma and blackgate on the Eternal Battlegrounds, each time we got wiped, people left the squad until our commander said kitten it and we all went to EoTM instead.

Devs consistently nerfed all ini based and stealth spells – all what is left is AA (which got buffed lol).
Backstab (and frankly most stealth attacks) is not worth it due to lack of dmg – it gets so heavily countered with abundance of things like reveal on demand, passives, blocks, invuls, aoe, perma prot etc. You actually get punished if you try to land backstab so why bother anymore?

Can a corpse of a dead person be reanimated in guild wars and retain his memories/emotions?

On season 2 I was on the same spot as you, couldnt get out of Ruby. Until I meet another thief who created a free account just to reach legendary division for the third time, I challenged him for a pvp duel and if I won he needed to give me his build, I managed to win 2 duels and lost 1. After that he gave me his build (a vanilla build with some changes since he didnt have HoT). And I realised that I was pretty bad cause he made to legendary with such a weak build.

Then he kinda liked me and taught me how to control the map, some thief tricks, and I made to diamond. After that I got stuck on last tier of diamond, couldnt get out of it. So I meet another guy, an warrior (season 2 warriors are pretty much useless, didnt do damage, dies easily, but now on season 4, warriors are pretty strong). And he told me, “If I can make to legendary with warrior only, you can too.”

I think all we need is just a little motivation, my build is not even close to the meta and I’ve been on legendary since season 2 now, so I believe Im a pretty good thief, have won duels against some pro players, even some matches with them premade.

Alot of thieves tell me to get a “real build”, the difference between me and then are that they’re usually pretty bad, cause d/d condi is a pretty weak build against good thieves.

If you want to get a hold of some good thieves out there, the best ones I know are Caed and Neurozene, the only ones I never managed to kill.

After a break on season 2, I came back last week and climbed to legendary before the season ended, here’s my promotion matches for both diamond and legendary games, got to legendary with a 54/6 win/lose soloing my way with thief only.

If there is interest for more videos showing thief gameplay with other builds, those are the ones im experienced in:

- Dagger/Pistol
- Sword/Pistol
- Staff

I can try other thieves styles but not on the same level

Im aware of the low quality gameplay, most of the people im fighting are ruby so they’re not that good, I’m a experienced thief, got to legendary last season and took a break, now Im climbing my way again to legendary again, just showing that condition is a viable build.

So, I got to Diamond playing thief only and like almost everyone, I want the legendary wings, I dont know how to play any other class besides spamming skills that I have really no idea what Im doing. But to complete the achievement, I must play 2 other classes, but I don’t like to lose, and I don’t like to drag my team down.

So, what is a easy class to learn? I tried Elementalist, lost. Guardian, lost. Ranger, lost.

3 losses, I made 12 people lose because of a stupid achievement that makes me play other classes, so what is a easy class to learn? I don’t mind losing myself cause I aint falling from diamond, but the people that get on my team, they will. I just made a guy lose his diamond cause I really cant play other classes.

And im not going to try on unranked, don’t wanna lose my time, I need 10 wins with two different classes, and that takes like 2 days or something, so unranked is out of question.

Yeah, i`m scared, a lot of people are too, when I start searching for guild wars, i saw a lot of comments talking about how good ArenaNet are, but now I doubt that, people getting hacked without explanation, anet cant restore the accounts, how they get your passwords so easy? breach in the anet system? why the cellphone authenticator doesn`t help? where the new authenticator will come? and how will work? there is a lot of questions.

The way to stop them is to do exactly what you did: To decline to accept the log-in attempt. There is no way to increase protection by saying “Do not allow any log-ins from [country]” because most account thieves have access to proxies, so while they may be located in Beijing, they may appear to be trying to log in from Boston.

So how we are secure of this guys if they have proxies?, many of the reports in this forum said that they dont receive the email of login attempt, and how they are getting your passwords so easy?

ArenaNet could make a extra security, like the cell phone authentication, but, everytime you log in your account you need put a security code that you receive by mail when you try to log in the game, but put just to people that want extra security, because everytime you log in the game you need check your email for the security code.

Some people in this topic said that they can proxy your ips, so we dont receive the authentication by mail/cellphone, so if they make a extra security code that i receive everytime we try to log in your own account, will be very secure.

Dont know If helps, but after reading this topic, I start putting my gold in the bank and have like 5 golds in the inventory to frequent WvW and Lions Arch.
