Well this is a recap of my experience so far with this Lost Shores event:
Got home from school 12:40. Opening event was over so missed that. Wandered around trying to figure out what to do next. Well looks like walking up and down the beach was next, how exciting. Found a bag…turned it in. After that I went to try and help one of these fights from the message I got in the mail. Killed some crab things but there was an NPC we were supposed to ask some questions of. Problem was….he was bugged…wouldn’t talk so sat around there for a while with about thirty other players. Very fun.
Then I went to try the new dungeon FotM. Getting everyone together was a pain as somehow half the people were in an overflow so more waiting ensued. Finally got everyone in but someone dc’d which then very nicely kicked him from the dungeon and he could not get back in to find us so we all had to leave and start over. Very fun. Killed first boss….blizzard guy, but we could not figure out the one with the wisps so party broke up after many attempts.
Took a break. When I came back tried a FoM run again. Same problems with overflow but we got in and were doing well till I got dc’d after we did like six fractals. I could never get back to my party. As soon as you leave the dungeon you get put in overflow.
Tried going in FoM but could not see anyone so left and waited till I left overflow. Went back in FoM but still could not see anyone so eventually we all gave up and had to abort the run. Very amusing.
Continuing on with the event I was sent to find Noll. When I got where he was supposed to be there was a large number of players all talking about the missing Noll. Turns out he was bugged too. Very fun. They decided to start a guild called Noll and Void so I joined. And that my dear frinds was about the most fun I got out of this bugged SNAFU of an event.
A little hint arenanet. Games are supposed to be fun. Not a waste of time and a real bummer which so far this has been.
So some constructive criticism. Don’t auto elevate everyone to 80 for these social events. Run some more trials before you release this content. Don’t auto kick people from instances if they dc and if they do leave the instance….allow them to join the same instance where their party is, not put them in some new instance. Not everyone likes jumping challenges. Put a server LFG channel in. Not sure why you only made the event last three days but you might consider restarting it or extending it.
Other than that I do appreciate new content and the social aspects of the game, such as they are, so keep trying and better luck next time.
Yes really…so you have to sit on your bum in lions arch like a fool if you want a group.

Yeah all my tabs work on the trading post except the sell tab. It is just a blank screen. I can’t sell anything. It has been going on for weeks now. What’s the deal?
Some moderator said to go here for the answer. Me sell screen is blank and does not work. So I come here and no answer. Nice job moderator.
