(I describe things poorly please don’t yell at me)
I think it would be amazing if we could catch pets as hatchlings and as you level up you can train them into different ranger unique animals by tiers based on starter animal E.G start of with wolf end with direwolf larger more defensive but slower attacking etc. I would love to hear your thoughts/cool tier ideas

this is ALL speculation/half truth(sorry for being unclear lol)

sylvari have a the dream that they are all connected to yet I have found reference to the fact that while they access it they don’t control it say there are walls in the sylvarian mind preventing access to certain “dark” areas of the dream and the machine scarlet went into tore them down and say a powerful old creature older than the dragons even gains access to her mind nowhere is it clearly stated that the dragons are anything but a means to an end for scarlet

I have noticed that in a lot of story quests and when using some skills my pet disappears leaving me at a MASSIVE disadvantage because I am now down 30% of my damage I know there is a ranger suggestion forum at the moment but… what do you think has anyone else noticed this/similar things with other classses

also the pale tree is a very powerful magical plant entity maybe she uses the dream to put the dragon back to sleep or I am more hopeful ,tame it at least into a less active/destructive role

yes BUT it was just sitting there quietly for what 10,000 years maybe this dragon is more passive more willing to just absorb ambient magic but I guess an argument could be made that it was asleep forcefully

okay so I was thinking maybe scarlets evil plan was actually to kill the dragon by cutting of the food supply and this is the nature dragon there is little to no evidence unlike the other dragons that it is actually evil so personally I am thinking how cool would it be to have a teamup with the dragon. would love to see your thoughts on this

PROPOSAL
currently the rangers pet is very underpowered if they are going to steal 30% of our damage make them worth it make each pet a mini powerhouse having multiple “spells” that they can activate e.g. eagle whirlwind blow all enemies backward in a 900 radius area. also perhaps adding a feature in PvP that means the ranger can’t be damaged until a quarter of his pets health has gone down meaning they can’t just ignore the pet

RISKS
this may cause some issues with the other classes damaging the ranger and make the pet die instantly to multiple attacks
