Downloading patch now. going SUPER slow, like 60kbs, my connection is 30mb 0.o it seems as if its dropping packets, or connection for a second, then picks back up.
Webpage seems sluggish also, had to check and make sure it wasn’t my connection
@PaniK.9482
Just today i test full memtest and there was no problem found. I went to bios settings and looked those ram settings what i know, so should i try ddr3 mode 2000 or 2133? if those are the right things that i need to change?
Yes, i would try both settings. See which one works best. Also, if you can get the make and model number on the ram sticks, you can set the timings manually. Also, might want to check and make sure the voltage is set correctly on the ram.
@Szemi.3710
Looks like a RAM issue to me. Try going into your BIOS and setting your ram timings manually. Also, did you run memtest yet? If not, run it and see if you get any errors.
maybe a separate notification instead of showing up in the chat window perhaps?
Yea, that would be nice.
yea, that’s not really acceptable. You should be able to pick and choose then.
I would like a notification that my friends log on/off. I never even notice they are on most of the time. At least an option to turn notifications on would be nice. Thank you.
Just to put it out there once more, down-clocking RAM has helped a lot of us. I put my RAM back up to 1066, BOOM crashes again. Turned it back down, no crashes. I know a lot of people that this has worked for. If you would like some help trying it, just send me a mail on here, ill see what i can do.
So, this is your RAM then? http://patriotmemory.com/product/specs/PSD38G1333K.pdf
You need to make sue its set to CAS 9 settings, at 1.5v. You can use PCwizard to check the timings and volts

I have 8Gb RAM – 2×4Gb RAM (tested – no errors at least memtest says no errors…) I removed 1 RAM so i only have 4Gb but game stopped crashed, for now at least. I guess i can’t trust any of this hardware tests programs.
I would guess that its ram with a XMP profile, or SLI ram, correct?
Kitsunami.6241, can you please use pcwizard and give me the information on your RAM please?
I am unsure, but if you read some of the other posts, there has been success doing this. Worked like a charm for me.
UVTC.4072:
Turned off the memory X.M.P. profile in bios and AUTO DRAM frequency ON,
24h no crashes.
(X.M.P on before and DRAM locked at 1600MHz).
Go into your bios and disable your profiles on your ram. This game doesn’t like RAM set to higher speeds for some reason. If you must, try loading default values in BIOS, or even FAIL-Safe. Note Do not attempt to manually adjust your system settings, unless you know what you are doing. Playing with voltage setting can damage your system.
You can also probably remove just one stick of RAM, as the overclock on the RAM usually has to have them in pairs.
I had a friend who was having this issue as of earlier today. I had him take out his memory sticks one by one and low and behold, the game started working.
Even if memtest passes check your ram 1 stick at a time by physically removing it from your motherboard. It worked for him, maybe it will work for you.
The reason it worked is because the Overclock on the RAM needs to be in pairs. if you remove a stick, it will default to the normal values.
Hi guys.
I had this problem, i use to crash like every 30 mim of game.
Actually the problem is fixed for me, here is what i did:
Did a full format using a program that completely erases my hd. changed for a 64bit system.
Really simple, but worked for me…
For the record, no point in a program that “completely erases my hd.” A simple quick format would be sufficient.
Well, there is the slight possibility, that in this case the hard drive had some bad sectors (it happens), and the drive firmware detected and reallocated them during the full format process. Would be interesting, if the SMART data of the drive confirms it.
You are correct. Id put money on it.
Too complicated for my blood. I guess I’m just shelfing the game until it gets fixed, which could be never. Thanks a lot Anet!
You would need to access your system BIOS information. Usually tab DEL when booting up. Then it will be under advanced settings, or Memory settings, Voltage settings, something along those lines. You will need the exact settings for your RAM. They should be on the sticks, if not, Google the model number and brand. Since I changed mine, over 3 days ago, i have had one lockup. And it was the lockup with sound playing, closed with CTRL+ALT+DEL taskman. If anyone needs help, just privet message me. Im pretty good with this stuff. Also, please have your system specs handy. CPU/RAM/Mother Board/HDDGPU/ect. Make and model should be good.
Turned off the memory X.M.P. profile in bios and AUTO DRAM frequency ON,
24h no crashes.
(X.M.P on before and DRAM locked at 1600MHz).
This worked for me also.
Mine still hasn’t crashed. I think Its a OC RAM issue, least it was for me
I dont know how to change my ram, but i do get the " A file was coorupted in the archive “blalbla” “once” with – repair!
Game\Main\MainCli.cpp (572)
I get this everytime i select my main character and press, play!
What kind of RAM do you have? (You might have to look at the sticks themselves.)
Go into BIOS screen, usually DEL when booting up. Check memory volts/timings. Make sure to use the standard setup for your RAM. Don’t use any profiles. Warning Setting the wrong settings in their could damage your system. Please use care, and double check your settings before you save and exit.
its been over 24hrs now, no crashes or anything. around 15hrs of game time played.
I may have found a fix to this problem. If you have OC(SLI/EPP/ect) RAM, change it to the normal values in the bios. I Changed mine, and played for 10hrs+ lastnight, and about 4hrs today, with out a single crash. Course, it sucks to be running my good ram at lower speeds, at least i can play the game.

So, i was reading and someone suggested changing the Antialiasing Transparency, in nvidia control panel, under 3d settings. I changed mine to multisampling, and low and behold, i just played for over 6 hours straight, no crashes. I did WvWvW for the 6 hours also. I’m not sure if it fixed it or not, but ive never been able to stay on half that amount of time. Ill keep testing and report back
there is a lot of hardware/software issues currently. check the forums, and you will see. i assume in the next week, things will improve a lot.

I have a support ticket open, everything attached they asked for and then some. waiting on a response. Im on a q6700 core2quad, 8GB 1066DDR2, 500GB internal HD. 9600GT gpu, EVGA 780i FTW motherboard. Compare
Also, as Remembrance.2639 pointed out in another thread — make sure to use MemTest86+ for 64-bit platforms.
Ok, not to sound like a prick, but memtest runs in DOS, i have not seen memtest86+ 32 or 64bit builds in a LONG time. version 4.02 should be the newest version. Heres a link to the memtest86+ download page. http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
Yeah, real well done. The installer says my 1TB external HD is “out of space” when I try and download it, despite the fact of it being, ohhh 10% full? How did this amateur stuff not get caught in beta?? Is it too late to request a refund?
Yea, i dunno. I even switched Mother boards, and GPUs and Power supplys……..

i keep getting crashes also. just crashes to desktop. i was getting the nvidia black screen issue, but i updated to newest beta drivers and it seems to have stopped that part. its pretty random, from 5mins into gameplay to 3hrs of gameplay. Seems to happen more in WvWvW tho.
