Stop complaining, every other game takes their servers down for hours on their maintenance day; we just have to re-log.
It’s just a game – Log back in and rebuild your siege like an adult.
I’m not saying it’s the only way to be viable – I’m extremely talented at the class, as it’s all I play. It was just an aspect that I was a big fan of.
I just really enjoy the idea that EVERYTHING is afraid of a Necromancer, and I think having a worth while interrupt for dungeons is pretty handy; not just for the benefit, but due to the fact that you’ve not got an extra role to keep aware of.
Which is why I suggest traiting it, so those of us who like it can invest in it, and others don’t need to worry.

fear is 1s anyway wtf can you do in 1s?
The impact of this is absolutely huge in dungeon/DE play. Popping into DS to interrupt a boss who might dropping a hammer onto a downed player being revived, or healing, or calling for allies made playing a necro in a dungeon extremely rewarding.
Now fear is essentially a PVP only ability.
I honestly didn’t think it was a bug, I just assumed that the Necromancer was supposed to fear anything since they were the masters of death/undead/fear/etc. (ie: that scene in the Hobbit).
Perhaps add an additional perk to the Terror trait so it does damage AND fears through Defiance? I’d be fine swapping a major trait for dungeons and fractals.
So aggravating. I can understand an hour, two hours.. maybe three.. but an entire friggen day? COME ON. I have never once complained about the bugs because those happen and cant be controlled. This is just inexcusable.

why all the hate from Alt F4t Aspenwood? It’s all good!

A nice feature down the line would be to allow players to “invite” friends onto the server they are on regardless of the status, maybe allow 1 invite a week or something. The random new player might not care which server they are on, but people joining to play with others that usually prefer to be on the same server as their friends, without having to monitor server populations for an open transfer window.
Regarding the logic of server status. I believe the caps are controlled dynamically to ensure that new players or people transferring don’t create population imbalances at that given time, since most first timers are probably attempting to log in during what might be their standard play time.
In other words, let’s say server A has 10 people on it, server B has 7 and Server C has 3 people. Server A would show “full” and B and C would be available.
If they all had 10 people online, then they would all be available to log in to.
If servers A and B had 10 people and C had 9 then A and B would show full and C would show available.
It is the same as your normal character.
For WVW, press ‘B’ and pick the borderland/battleground you wish to queue/enter.
For sPVP, press ‘H’ and select the pvp tab on the bottom left and click ‘Enter Heart of the Mists’.
Odinzu’s peppered flank steak is my favorite!
Let’s not forget Odinzu, on TC as well!
I would imagine they are happy this guy left their server. But they probably want to make sure everyone is aware of the reputation he’s gained
I don’t have much trouble with mesmers. Actually – last night I might have got my most satisfying kill off of one.
We had taken a keep, during the mesmer sweep we flushed one over the wall. I noticed a little swirly circle on the ground on the corner of the wall. I dropped all of my marks and 2 wells on it…. BOOM! haha
Nothing wrong with the fact that DB won this match up. But the queue data shows that they clearly have a much larger round the clock presence. Maguuma and TC often “flatline” for several hours where DB manages to keep a queue for almost an entire 24 hour period.
At first I was disappointed that Maguuma didn’t seem to be willing to forcus on DB early in the week, alongside us. Then I realized that they were probably playing for second and used the DB presence to help keep their position secure, which is ultimately well played.
Oh I totally agree it’s a down the road type of change as there are more important things they are focused on at the moment. I just thought it would be worth throwing out there since they are very open to suggestions.
Perhaps to add a bit more variety to the maps, I’m wondering if it would be possible to simply “re-skin” the textures of each borderland so that they are identical from each other from a terrain perspective, but with different themes. For example, one that is a full desert theme, replace snow storms with sand storms in the north. Perhaps make another one a tropical/swap feel with heavy rain in the north. Keeping hills, water, all the same, just replacing the ground and vegetation textures to represent a unique environment..
I realize technical fixes are priority, but it would be cool to see something like that.
What is the cool down on server transfers currently? I’m looking for a new server for my small guild and want to scout ahead before giving the word on moving.
Thanks!
