Dude, it’s been ONE day. :P

Ok, the fact that you can buy Shards of Glory and Memories of Battle on the TP is annoying already. I thought the thing about Precursor Crafting was that players instead of spending a lot of gold could just put a lot of effort in to the game and still being able to get a precursor. But not only does do you lose gold on finishing the precursor tiers (counting the costs of all materials needed atm it’s cheaper to jsut buy the precursor directly from TP.) it’s also still much easier for people who are willing to spend a lot of gold to get it much faster than people who actually wants to work for it. I can understand that some things which are needed for the precursor is on TP, like elonian leather for example, which is also something you need to craft other things. But to put shards of glory and memories on battle on TP is just totally unnecessary.

And now I’m even more annoyed since even the fractal ACHIEVEMENT chests can be sold/bought on/from the TP. I thought they wanted more people to do fractals, now you can get a skin without even having to enter the gate in LA. :S

And just a note, personally I think that it is much more encouraging to work for something I know everyone else that wants the same thing has to work for aswell, rather than knowing some people can just buy everything they need.

I agree with you so much regarding charr customization. I would especially like some new horns to be introduced. There are only one or two nice horns for female charr. I don’t really see why not some of the male ones can be choices for females also(?)

I don’t agree with the “upright” stance on charr. It would take away the charm. They’re supposed to be beastlike “mutations”. I do not want too cute anime charrs with humanlike bodies aka girls with cat ears like in some asian MMOs (ok, I may be over-interpreting this, but I just don’t like the idea.)

I also don’t understand why some people want gender specific armor for them. The new outfits for female charr that were made into “female” ones because people complained about the lack of feminine armor for them look absolutely AWFUL. Charr looks best in neutral armor and the sad fact is that “manly” armor/outfits generally look more neutral (to me at least.) I mean, just look at the variations for the other races. Especially norn/human/sylvari. The female armor is as it seems in 80% the cases not made to look good but to SHOW more. Most ironic is the whispers light pants/skirt. Because they look exactly the same for male and female EXCEPT that the men get to have pants underneath the skirt while women are bare. Why not just include two choices instead?

For human female/norn female some long hair without any accessories would be nice. I love the curly long hair with bangs that’s available for human female. Some similar choice with more symmetrical bangs and no diadem would be an awesome add. Also some sort of curly hair ponytail option. Ohhh and a hairbun for humans. Preferably the bun would be placed on top of the head OR a ponytail where the “tail” is on top of the head. That’s cute.

Another thing that would be awesome is if hair were visible under helmets/hats.

Here’s mine. I love the new hairstyles and faces, this hair is my favourite though, it’s so beautiful! I wish they would add more shades of brown/black as skincolour though, there’s only two or three which are really dark.

Well, no one is forcing you to buy them.

First of all, there’s already a bodytype which is 100% hourglass-like. Hourglass means shoulders equally wide as the hips, big bust and curvy bodytype. Apart from the curvy hourglass bodytype, there’s a more skinny hourglass body to choose from. I’ll add pictures of these. Since when are less rounded hips more curvy? >.>

I really like the female bodies you can choose from when creating a character. Of course, as this is a game, they’re a little too perfect but I don’t expect the graphic designers to put those kind of details to the bodies and therefore I don’t mind. They are not all overly big busted (but you can choose from bodes with big bust), they have different waist sizes and are of different weights (it seems like.) There is even variations of the feet and hand sizes.

Pearshaped body means that the hips are wider than the shoulders. Some of the bodies you can choose for human female are pearshaped, but definitely not all of them. Some are more straight (square-shaped.) And then there’s the hourglasshaped. If you want an atlethic looking female sort-of-humanish character, just play as a short norn.

Can’t agree with that. I was expecting something spectacular but got very disappointed when trying it out. The varieties of faces you can create is extremely limited. It might seem good when you try it because it has so many options, but tbh all characters end up looking very similar to each other, even more so than in GW2, which, in my opinion, has a very good character creation.

And to OP: you can change the default faces quite much with the facial sliders. I agree that they could add a few more faces, but until that take your time when using the makeover-kits. Some faces can be made to look completely different from their default version.
Body sliders is a complete No-No for me. The existing options are good enough!

Though a lot of people die of starvation and such everyday and I don’t see any dedication thread to them by any players. I sense some double standards but do not wish to start any political discussion about. It’s just a reminder.
But then I also can understand why this forum may not be the place for this kind of topics.

Just want to say that this concept is wonderful! Keep up the kindness. <3 I will keep an eye on this thread and see if someone posts a wish I can fulfill.

First of all, I’m a woman and I have no trouble playing as male characters in the game. I like the idea of having characters unique from each other and I’m not the type of player that tries to create “myself” as a character and it’s not important for me to be able to “identify” with the character I play.
Second of all, I’ve been playing since 2014 and I’ve never had any players hit on my characters, even though some of them are females. Didn’t even know this was a thing.. At least not in Guild Wars.
Third of all, in Guild Wars, as with most MMORPGS and other computer games, the majority of players are men, so most female characters you see in the game are actually played by men.

And I think it’s very unnecessary to make claims about what kind of people chooses to play as certain characters. Your analysis only speaks for your personal thoughts and choices regarding characters, not anyone else’s.
