I’ve been wondering about this same issue. My points had not been accruing. I turned in a ticket and had noticed that it appeared to stop at 10K dailies.
Once again. Punish those that play the game so “EVERYONE WINS”. I’m surprised they haven’t started taking my AP points yet to give to someone so they are all at the same level. I’m so sick of this mentality it makes me not want to play this game. If ANET doesn’t want someone to see the AP that someone has accumulated then HIDE it from everyone. If someone wants to SHOW OFF their points then let them wear the titles that come with it.
Why have a daily system if you are going to put a cap on it? It’s bad enough that you now only need to do 3 dailies to get max points. I’m trying to understand this logic.
The cap has been in effect for some time. Not really part of the latest Daily/Daily Log-In revamp.
In regards to the daily update they might as well have just said login and get 10 AP for you daily. They keep dumbing down every reward they might as well call this game WOW.

I use AP as a dungeon requirement, (or you can ping gear). The reason I use this is to hope that by gaining that much AP they are familiar with their class by now. This like everyone says is not set in stone but that’s why I run with at least 3 guildies. The AP requirement gets you into a path. It doesn’t guarantee a spot on the next path.
I totally agree with the topic of this forum. This server wide content makes it really frustrating. If they are going to make server wide content then need to do something different. Kitten it up or something for the average player (though I definitely don’t mind the current difficulty and in fact prefer it). Or boost the average joe. Maybe look at there gear and say. Wait this guy has a lvl 60 white weapons and some blue armor. Boost his base power/precision, etc…
I remember reading somewhere that they had done a survey of gw1 players and their builds/skills used. Some crazy number of people hadn’t even changed the first skills they ever got in the game. So in gw2 they added forced skills by weapons… I don’t think that fixed the problem.
Please stop this kind of content or do something so we can finish it on less populated/ populated with sub par players.
No offense intended but over 8 tries at the wurm and the best attempt I’ve had is middle wurm down to 70%. And that’s with a 2 hour wait to get into the main server not an overflow…
