Guild Wars 2

why do people always cry and say omg guild wars 2 is nothing like guild wars the original. It isnt the original you can buy that if you want guild wars 2 is and mmorpg thats going to evolve just how all others have just hopefully not to the visa and mastercard extent of most. If your crying beause gw2 isnt like the original gw then why the heck did you even buy it. Seems to me alot of people basically just wanted a graphic overhaul of the original game.

i agree i play a necro and hardly use my minions because unlike rangers they are generally useless. we have very limited minions and most of the skills stink to high heaven. I have a ranger friend i farm with and his can tank vets and rezz people and all kinds of stuff, My flesh golem can run up hit 3 times and die lol. Giving the minions a buff and adding more variety (and maybe fixing the 3k bugs with the class) is a good idea imo

I think The level scaling should be player specific not group specific, sure it would require alot more codeing but would get rid of every single qq about fotm.

the only post i found was them saying yes we know were looking into it but it wont happen today. and that was the day of the event how many days has it been?

Does anyone else think its just hilarious that so many get jipped on the event or couldnt make it and all we get from anet is a yeh it was kinda rocky but look at all this other stuff were working on. We dont necessarily not care about that but seriously you cannot take 5 minutes to come to the forums and post a message about what is going to be done for the people who got jipped, but you can spend hours putting together a forum post about all the new stuff your going to put out? Really puts me off about the whole game and spending money with them, I dont want them to give everyone a precurser and i dont begrudge anyone who got one. I just want an actual response not some predetermined pr damage control bs.

Yeh they will probably but tinker with the drop rates so no matter what your chance for a precurser from it is gone. theyll say it was unintentional blah blah so no matter what anyone who missed this, whether you have a job and are theyre primary source of income or not, is effectively out of luck. im so dissapointed with this. Halloween event is a 10 second cutscene this is a chance to become rich and get 40g worth of guaranteed items, so much for not giving anyone an advantage.

i did albeit not for very long as i picked up ddo (mistake) and quit the mmo scene for few years but in the end u farmed the cash for the skills and if you couldnt afford it or didnt want to farm you didnt get it so your at a disadvantage, its the same thing just dressed different is it not?

i did play guild wars and i maxxed got the armor and such sure, but they also had rare skills u had to farm and such that made you op so how is that different from rarer armor?

noone is forceing you to do the dungeon. wvw can get the gear also. and really can anyone honestly tell me they would play the game for years with all the current items being it? A few maybe but the rest i doubt it. I wouldve played for awhile and got bored seeing as currently after ur exotic set theres map complete and farming orr to get a legendary, how is that different from running the same dungeon over and over again?

Just wondering but it kinda seems like im the only one who saw them mention several times that ascended was for the dungeon progression. Also that the infusion slots were for helping counter agony in the dungeon, Whether itll be op outside of the dungeon we dont know, or if it will even be useable outside of it (im leaning towards yes since they said wvw will get it too), but then again maybe it was meant to be the Legendary armor and accessories and stuff since theyre not in yet. in which case youll be doing the exact same thing youve been doing for your legendary weapons except running a dungeon for it. All in all whether your farming 250 lodestones and 500k karma or running a dungeon its the same grind so i dont see why people are crying so much about it. Do i want to see an endless gear treadmill no. But did anyone honestly think the game would last for years and not months with all the same items from day 1 to day 4000 except for the intro of holiday skins? I mean noone i know likes grinding a dungeon for weeks and not getting the item you want but how is that different then the current legendary predicament. Just my Two Cents.

For the record ,before the flaming begins, i didnt play wow i did play conquer online and helbreath usa and international so all of you crying about grinds and such really have no clue.

How is it not? You can farm for hours and hours and hours and get a rare, not an exotic a rare. someone else can farm for 30 minutes and get a precurser drop. rng is the core of the loot system of this game anyone who dosent see that is blind. Granted loot on this game means a different skin for your lvl 80 gear. The only difference between the halloween event rng and the everyday non event rng is that you were trying to get mad king armor or arachnophobia or crossing or mad moon instead of a precurser. the end result changed but the path to it stayed the same.

Yes they do and what’s funny is, you report the bots day after day and nothing happens. go to meddlers wp on darkhaven in cursed and you will see worric tp botting and some other naked botter. theyll fix stuff that makes them money but wont fix what makes you money. Find an interesting way to make money and others find it also? (refer to grub farming from giant’s) they will disable grubs from dropping because that means you can actually make money. now im not saying it is impossible its just not easy to begin with and then everything getting nerfed. Its not hard to qwell farmers its 60 bucks for a game ban all the bots and any account they send large chunks of gold to. i mean really if someone gets 100g in the mail at this stage in the game theyre buying gold. just trace where the gold came from and ban all the accounts (not by tp selling but the holder accounts and such).

Hah. seeing Aion and stuff listed as an old grindy game is just hilarious. Try grinding for years in a specific pit on Helbreath for an item that only 3 people in 5 years got. Rares on there were rare until they started tweaking the rates and made them common , (after i had quit the game).

yeh i didnt mean afking like over night i just meant it as like say a different gathering style. and yeh it would be cool to have like a mini game but i think it should be interactive to where you cant have 5k bait and everything else and just set and do it.

does anyone think there should be like things to do while afking like fishing or anything? honestly to go somewhere and be able to fish actively would be a great way to spend some time and maybe have the fish used for cooking and sometimes get a bag or box like all other gathering skills. just an idea. yes i know the punctuation is terrible but its 1:30am and im tired lol.
