Only 2k? I have 4126 hours now through all my characters, and never got a precursor. Talk about bad luck. =)

I am just VERY glad that I find all legendaries ugly or simply not worthy. It was never, ever in my plans to make one. Else I would’ve quit this game long ago~ What keeps me here are the folks I play with. They are awesome. =3

The highest value items I have looted were that molten backpack and the unbreakable bell thing from winter’s day.

Hello. I can actually relate to that. My main is an elementalist too and I play her the vast majority of time. I am full glass cannon berserker ele, and I always seem to be the target, even when I group with warriors who do a lot more damage than me. No matter the dungeon I go, CoE, Arah, Fractals. I have no clue how the aggro system works in this game, but apparently, it decides that the class with the worst armor and HP in the game should be the tank. =(

Sometimes I don’t get targeted if there is another elementalist in the party. Also, this have been happening for a while now for me. I don’t have the highest armor, nor the highest damage. What is causing all this aggro? I tried swapping gear thinking that maybe it was because I was the squishiest, then I compared stats with my friends who run dungeons with me and I am still almost always the target.

I reeeeeally like your Sylvari! No matter how much I try, my Sylvari never look good. =( I would give her 9.5/10.0 because … she doesn’t look like exactly a ninja, but still beautiful!

The Norn is spot on! 8.5/10.0 because I would use some light blue shade on the purple places.

The African Princess gets a 8.0/10.0 but that’s because I’m biased and prefer lighter colors. I would’ve dyed in Celestial instead of dark. The golden parts with deep purple gems look really good though. Very royal~

And this is my little Priory Apprentice, studying magic and hoping to become a competent elementalist some day~ Different shades of pink, celestial and small white golden details on boots and sleeves!

I’ve been playing an elementalist for 2.4k hours now out of my total 2.7k. There are some glaring problems with the class, but I won’t go into them in this thread, instead just wanted to reinforce the idea that eles can do good damage if you use a nice setup.

The lightning hammer is very, very powerful, and I’ve got crits up to 14k on auto-attacks, but it can be really boring and to make it worse, you can become ill-accostumed and see your skills as an elementalist to deteriorate for overuse of it and not actually playing the class to its full.

The fiery greatsword is ridiculously powerful in terms of DPS. My record so far was 32k against Subject Alpha (Boss in CoE) using the skill number 3, but granted, all the conditions were right for it to happen, and it’s something that you won’t see all the time. Regularly, the auto-attack chains end in 14-18k.

My current gear is full berserker armor and weapons, with full berserker ascended rings, amulet and earrings. And of course, my pink berserker ascended quaggan backpack~ =3

As for build, I am using 10 (III), 25 (VI, VII), 10 (VI), 15 (IV), 10 (V). (Don’t forget the food consumable that gives you extra 10% critical damage)

For utilities I use the arcane spells, to keep Air Trait VII always up 100% of the time.

Sigils: Sigil of Battle and Sigil of Bloodlust (Dagger/Dagger – or Scepter/Dagger). Forget staff if you want to do damage, leave it for fights where your team needs you to be a bit more support’ish~

The only downside of this build is that you’re, well, ultra super mega squishy… it’s not a build to run with pugs or people you’re not used to working together with them, but I promise that you’ll do a really respectable damage with it, if you round up some friends you trust to go dungeoning with you~ =)

Hey wait a minute… I was told that the top shown in your third picture was only available in PvP? How did you get it in PvE?

Huh? On my third picture? Not at all. It’s the karma top! You can get it at any Orr temple for 42k karma, or as a drop in Fractals if you’re lucky enough~

Could someone, help me, please? The GW 2 client download speed through the launcher is just too slow. Most of the time it stays around 40-80 kb/s with wild peaks of up to 1mb/s, but those last less than 2 seconds.

I already tried deactivating my windows firewall and windows defender and no difference in the result. I don’t use any other anti-virus or anti-spyware tools, so that can’t be the problem as well.

Is there anything I am doing wrong? Or is there any other alternative source for the client officially supported by ArenaNet that is not the download through the normal launch? Maybe a partner website? Anything? 16GB of files at 80 kb/s is really awful. =(

I am also sure it’s not my connection because for everything else I get a steady 2.2mb/s download speed. Also, for some reason, when the client launcher is loaded and downloading, my connection becomes really slow. Any ideas what could possibly be my problem? Or is this normal?
