The wording on the buff, “Bonus Bonus Magic Find when opening Lost Bandit Chests”, definitely implies that magic find works on these chests. Because why would you increase Magic Find if Magic Find didn’t affect the chests. They even capitalized it, “Bonus Magic Find,” which means they’re talking about the game mechanic and not just saying it increases your chance to find magic items in chests.
This is happening to me. It started a few days ago. Sometimes the TP works fine, but sometimes it fails to load, and when it does, the second I close the window the game freezes.
I was able to play for a while by leaving the TP open until I was at a stopping-point, and then closing it and accepting my freeze.
As others have mentioned, I often have to restart the computer to get the game to open again.
I generally dismiss claims that one server is helping another. Even with multiple sources saying SoR commanders were paid off by GoM, I still ignored it as rumor.
However, I keep seeing SoR seemingly defending GoM’s towers. And I just watched as GoM took the camp next to Bravost (they owned our entire corner), farmed us for a while at Bravost, and then all left even when we were still trying to take Bravost. Odd, but that happens. But then less than 30 seconds after GoM leaves and we get a ram up, SoR shows up, runs past Durios, runs past the camp, and hits us at Bravost (owned by GoM). They wipe our tiny zerg and leave. They don’t even throw up a ram to pretend they’re trying to take that tower. They just defend GoM’s tower and leave.
How pitiful of a human being do you have to be to buy a win? I don’t even understand.

I reupdated but my lion market is still not loading. What did you do to get it to work with the update, or rather how did you get it to update hienvan? and mikeew yes I realized that is what you were getting at and agree with you.

I just opened GW2 client this morning then It started to update.
If you didn’t get it to update, you can do it manually by download this:
http://cider.ncplatform.net/Live/GWII-Update-009741.tgzAfter downloading the patch, manually unpack it by double-clicking. You should find “GWII-Update-009741.tgz” after it finishes extracting. Open this app, and when asked point it to you GW2 client. If you are getting a message: “GWII-Update-009741.tgz” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”, you must allow third party apps in your System Preferences->Security & Privacy->“Allow apps downloaded from anywhere”
After the update is completed, try launching the game client.

Same problem: spinning circle indefinitely. Was like this all yesterday.
I tried deleting the gw2 folder in my library and force quitting cvmcompiler/cookied/etc.
The last time it wasn’t working (when it would load some weird, nonfunctional version of the TP), I redownloaded and reinstalled the entire game. That fixed it that time, but I really don’t want to go through that 4 hour process again, especially because it’s broken in a different way this time.
Very frustrating.
I’m jealous of those that can play for 15 minutes. Mine is now quitting consistently within seconds. No error message.
Crashing every 3 seconds to 3 minutes; cannot play.
Couldn’t you add obsidian shard karma vendors to some other place? Is it fair for people to deal with bugged content that’s blocking progress for months on end?
And the fix would be very simple if you actually would bother with it.
This so much. I’ve been playing for a couple of months and I would like to get my ascended chest piece, but I can’t because I have to do this escort. That’s annoying. What’s annoying AND baffling, is that it’s been bugged for over a year. It’s glaring oversights like this that make it impossible to recommend this game to WoW friends.
