it would be nice but I can see some issues and for people that say dare devil with cantrips nope you will get the utilities from the elite specs you choose the only “free” thing you get is the weapon ( elite specs have a lot of flaws, synergies with trait’s lack of weapons list goes on and on) but we can only imagine what if.
elite specs should change your elite and utilities skills but weapons should be free to all that’s my point of view

And again, daredevil with rifle would be op and broken. Nobody can be faster than a daredevil and you want us,daredevils, to have 1200 range? Imagine P/P skill 3 with 1200 range because rifle 3 is P/P 3 with 1200 range and dash and shadowstep.

Oh and rifle 4 when not kneeling is a teleport with 900 units range. You would never ever hit a rifle Daredevil that doesnt want you to hit him. A d/p daredevil can actualy do that but he wont hit you either. However, the rifle daredevil would hit you with a 1200 range version of P/P 3 and an extra 900 quick instant teleport with rifle 4.

Yes you can reflect but Bandits defense exist and dodges aswell and with 1200 range, the daredevil would have enough time to react to the reflect

I don’t really see a legit argument on why I shouldn’t be able to equip a shield If I so choose to not spec into chrono.

Daredevil+rifle. You really want to see it? Keep in mind, Deadeye get cantrip skills and there is a cantrip with 1200 range teleport. And the elite cantrip(stealth and remove reveal). You want to remove the lock on elite specs for abilities aswell.

With your idea I would be stuck into playing rifle daredevil with: Withdraw or channeled vigor as healing, Shadowstep,signet of agility and cantrip teleport. How would you beat a dash rifle daredevil who knows how to avoid reflect? 1200 unit teleport twice+1 so 3600 unit teleport with a 1200+range rifle with dash on top of it.

It would be broken as F.

I main a thief I dont want to see this kind of stupid stuff happen. I’m sure other players can point out other stuff that would be OP aswell

Anyone else find it odd that you need 3 marks for one handed weapons and 3 marks for 2 handed weapons?

Its pretty anoying to have to spend 6 marks to get your ascended weapons. It means you need 2 seasons to get one weapon set instead of 1 and if you use one handed weapons on both weapon sets you need 4 seasons to farm it.

I know you can get ascended gear with pve/crafting/WvW aswell but crafting means you need to lvl it up (not that long to do it but still time and gold consuming). WvW is a time sink if you actualy WvW to farm gear.

And I dont think I have to talk about PvE since we all know its boring and all you do is smash the same rotations of abilities over and over again while dodging from time to time and wondering how people die to something else then /kill mechanics when they know the fights.

Not telling you this ’’problem’’ is a big deal. I just think its wierd or a bit unfair.

Shadow Escape through WvW Portals

I understand why you are complaining but I feel like its fair is you compare Shadow escape to vapor form. You can go through portals with vapor form but cant port up an obstacle or cliff while Shadow escape allows you to port up an obstacle or cliff. I agree that vapor form may suits more situations but I’m fine with shadow escape

This would make D/D thief ridiculous. Imagine a power D/D thief opening burst with Cloak n Dagger into steal+ backstab but now you get the condis from steal and the Death Blossom Spam and maybe poison stacks from spider venom and since you are most likely below 50% hp, if the thief have the apply poison on immobilise trait, its 1 or 2 extra poison stacks. It would be broken but fun to watch the forum warriors QQ about it

Those people are most likely stupid. Take a look at the profession they play. I get the same kind of behavior as a thief main and noticed a kind of ’’patern’’ trash talkers are usually not very skilled players playing the professions with the easiest learning curves like Guardian/warrior tied at 1rst place for most trash talker then comes Necros kinda far in 2nd place. I’m not telling you every guardian,warrior or necro are bad or trash talker. Its just that those professions have an easy learning curving making it appealing to new and bad players stomping new and bads playing other professions.

They think they are super good but then they reach a rating high enough where other professions a well represented by good players so as soon they are not easily winning they trash talk the thief for being smart and not capping home at start forcing the DH to do is own job and cap it or because your engi is smart and went home, the DH trash on the thief.

The good DH/warrior/necro wont trash talk. These players usually find a great way to ask the trash talker to shut is mouth.

Ive had 1 kill top kill twice. Obviously I lost both matches, I lost the first one +/-85 to 500 and the 2nd one was a 5-502 lost. I scored the only kill, I was the only one with a kill on the team, didnt go into downstate,didnt die. Everytime I looked at the team frame/map to chose a fight to +1, at least 3 where dead or in downstate. Ele was staff and engi was rifle. I cannot blame these players for using non meta builds because 5-502 isnt a lost given by builds, even with proper builds these players wouldnt have made it a win BUT……the DH called me out for going far at start even if I got the only kill and could have capped if someone would have +1 or swapped position when the enemy DH arrived on point. I scored the only points, I had absolutly no fights to +1 because every1 was always dead, especialy the DH. He said we lost because of me yet I was the only one to never die I tried as hard as I could to decap, I got many decaps but it only delayed the lost. However, the 2nd DH on my team asked him nicely to puck off and even said I was the strongest player on the team by far. Then 1rst DH flammed me in whispers and instant blocked me. 2nd DH added me as friend.

In the end its mostly clueless/stupid players on professions with easiest/fastest learning curves that will trash talk you. Right now, I have way more fun in unranked because when some1 starts trash talking (me or some1 else), I answer with : unranked is serious business, its where proleague and money is.

What is your pvp rank? You have to be at least rank 20 to Q for ranked

Amulet System in WvW

Let us choose between amulet or gear in WvW. Lets us click a toggle thing so we can choose to use the gear we got or the amulet. Also, exotic gear is not that far behind ascended gear. If you have exotic and are better than the acended geared player you will win. On top of that, exotic gear is very easy and quick to get. I used to roam in full exotic gear then I got full ascended gear. Not much have changed. I got a bit more hp and a bit more power/crit chance, nothing overkill.

I dont think we should get the sPvP amulets in WvW but I dont think we shouldnt. I can see how it could help witrh the game mode if we get the choice to toggle it or use the gear we got and if you level up to 80 the lower level then the sPvP amulets are a must for those players

There is a pretty easy counter play. You need 2 things. Game awereness and condi cleanse.
A stun breaker could be usefull but I assume every decent build would have at least 1 .
Trapper thieves also have to 100% commit into the aggression so it balances things out.

Thief Backstab Cooldown (mostly pvp related)

I think the 1 second cooldown on backstab is too much. I believe backstab should not have a CD just like it was before. That being said, there was a reason to add a cooldown on it (I disagree with this reason). Maybe reducing the cooldown would make it. Lets say 0.5 sec cooldown instead of 1 sec because right now, if you miss backstab you are most likely not going to land it and will need an other stealth to try to land it again.

Maybe remove the positioning bonus damage and make the bonus damage works on 360 degree

What do you think about it?
Any tips to land it more often in pvp?
