That guy really has no connection to reality. Not that SoR doesn’t have skilled players or anything, but that is the server that has guilds who openly state they just all run in one big zerg on purpose and don’t really believe in splitting players off to do other things like havoc squads.

I’ll agree that he has no connection to reality but SoR does have havoc squads. I know our guild runs 3-5 man teams late into the Oceanic night to the beginning or middle of Euro Prime Time and it works great and I’m sure even those guilds you mention (I’m not sure which ones) have squads who WvW late into their prime time and cause havoc.

If the coming update does what it should, I for one won’t be surprised to see both JQ and BG gone from Tier 1 long before SOR. At some point aggregate player skills, not numbers, have to be the differentiator between winning and you can’t really call what’s happening to us now losing.

Don’t underestimate our competition, JQ and BG actually do have good players and guilds.

When your server leads in PPT it is obviously skill. When your enemy leads in PPT, it is quantity over quality.

Gaining 15k points overnight while SoR has 0 players online is not skill.

Again, if I were a leader of HIRE or OCX I would vote to move my guild to another server after reading this.

You guys are so disrespectful to your own server mates who have to fight an uphill climb every night to hold onto what your NA has done. Instead of applauding it you discount them at every turn in order to bolster your own “primetime’s” reputation.

I think Blackgate has more respect for your overnight crews than you do.

I don’t particularly care that it was GvG but he really should turn his commander tag off so that randoms don’t join in. Poor planning on his part. But they definitely should add GvG, it’s been over 6 months and I don’t think it would be that hard to implement.

That Asura is too cute… O.o

I chased an engineer for about 10 mins around the map today and did well until he dropped a turret kit on my head and a nearby drake fire-breathed me to a crisp.

Rangers have the best water field in the game, Healing Spring which is amazing for large WvW fights when people need to heal. Traps are really nice as an AoE in a 1v1 and can get rid of alot of pesky thieves and are pretty useful in zergs with the throwing trap trait. Greatsword No.4 skill has a 4 second block which negates all ranged damage and blocks a melee attack.

Rangers are pretty useful but so are Elementalists. The staff has the only (to my knowledge) lightning field in the game making it useful for speed buffs with blast finishers. Staff has a range of AoE and the lightning field is a stun lock which is great for separating people from zergs. Utilities imo for Elementalists are lackluster and most of the utilities eles run with are selfish (cantrips). A good D/D ele will split a zerg and do damage to alot of them and make it out alive while a bad one will be burst down in an instance, it takes practice though.

And to all the SoR out there you guys are a good server and I respect your guilds but this forum warriorship is just pitiful to watch. It’s a game and not many of you seem to realize that based on what I read on the forums in the past few days. CDS you guys beat EMP but that doesn’t mean you guys come to the forums and troll them over it. One person’s reaction or opinion is exactly that one person even if its their Guild leader or founder or what not. Anyone who knows Rawnoodle’s know that he gives everything 110% and he takes a lot more crap than anyone on this forum combined. He took crap for recruiting and when he first made ESOL and then went to EMP. He took crap for helping build JQ to what it is today. He took crap for recruiting for our server when we desperately needed it. Heck he gets trolled for fighting for his server and giving it his best effort because one group of people thinks they are so accomplished because they can take an dominate 1 out of 4 maps.

While Noodles and I may not always see eye to eye I respect the hell out of him because he’s stuck between a rock and hard place. No matter what he does he will be scrutinized by everyone and no matter what happens he will suck it up and keep showing up and helping JQ out on the field. So to anyone that has an issue with EMP might as well just start clumping all of JQ up with EMP because they are such a vital part of the community you can’t have JQ without EMP and vice versa.

The flaming/trolling is not because EMP lost, everyone can accept that they lost and if Raw, in the heat of the moment said something he shouldn’t have we can probably understand that too. People GvG to win. But after it was posted coming back and saying:

which you can find on the video comments is pretty much kitten. It was clearly shown in the video that there are 14 or 15 players. That is where the poor sportsmanship comes in. By saying ‘We’ in that comment he includes his guild. But one incident doesn’t make a person or a whole guild. So it’s probably best to just get on with it and killing each other in unorganized fighting instead.

Do you know what a GvG is? last time I checked, it didnt involve the green tags of every guild in SoR. But if thats what it takes to “win…” oh and reading the SoR map chat during that video is lulz and gives it even more context.

Then don’t bother posting any GvG on any forums as it involves the public eye. JQ’s guilds are posting as well such as the person from AoS above so don’t think it’s just SoR.

Special thanks to Choo for the excellent fight at BG Bay. They pushed in, camped out in the Lord’s room for about 10 minutes while BG fought to prie them out of there. Really fun fight.

I have no idea what map your talking about, but JQ BL is Red, Green and Blue and that’s the map that VBK is talking about. Where SoS was pushing west towards bay and JQ south towards bay.

I wouldn’t think it’ll become account bound due to the fact that some people have Commanders on their alts too. Maybe some more features but I doubt it will become account bound.

So wait.. a Tier 1/2 450man guild transferred to EB looking for a challenge at oceanic TZ? You do realize that all 3 of the servers in this tier are SHORT during that time zone? To get it straight, so we all understand – you transfered to PVE vs Door when most of the Yaks Commanders are sleeping. Good job.

You should have went to FA – to fight VS CDs night crew who is pretty strong. Should be fun taking karma training NA TZ taking back all our stuff vs your ‘individualist’ elite 5man pvpers with our zerg.

We came to EB since we heard they have good NA and EU coverage but were lacking in the Oceanics. There is also a guild in EB who we have been friendly with. Simply put, We came for the community not because we want to faceroll other servers during Oceanic times, don’t you think there are much better servers to transfer to if we wanted to do that?

I go to sleep for a bit and all posts are cleaned up xD. Personally I usually try to attack BG instead of SoR but alot of my fellow commanders would rather attack an unupgraded tower (Durios) rather than Wildcreek’s fully upgraded tower since when I take Wildcreek we usually just manage to take it with 3 rams then we find our 1/3 under attack.

Yet somehow I can cap Durios and Bravost easier than I can with Wildcreek. Though since im on holidays I havent done anything in WvW.

Vodka, Im not begging for transfers in the slightest but in all honesty after 5 weeks of this matchup alot of us want a change, I hope you guys earn enough points to move to T1 even if SoR and IoJ gets our kitten handed to us by a T1 server it’ll at least be a change.

Sorry, your right Pot. I meant beefing up your chances of gaining enough points to move into T1. Since 20 players certainly isn’t nothing and I assume they’re all active in WvW

I especially like that Vodka thinks transferring servers is any less pathetic than trying to explain why a server is losing, maybe you or Icoa transfers at the first sign of trouble (This is where you bring up Icoa’s record of never transferring) but Im pretty sure not everyones like that, please correct me if Im wrong.

I hope you guys realize that Elementalists have had more nerfs than buffs, it’s only recently that people have figured out how to actually play the class and now there are so many people complaining or calling for a nerf. Being a Ranger myself I’d also like to know how to play properly with it so that people are calling for us to be nerfed but nope, thats never going to happen (feel free to prove me wrong :P).

Raven, (since that other guy will think i’m directing this at Murakami) you wouldn’t have even made it to T1 if you hadn’t gotten a massive point increase when you were vsing ET and HoD who were at that time nearly empty in WvW because of the mass guild and probably pug transfer. That week IoJ gained points in T1, granted we’re not a T1 or 2 server now but we’re not going to just ‘pack our bags’ and leave without a fight and it’s pathetic to want that of your enemies.

I have yet to understand why we always focus on IOJ in EB instead of BG. Blackgate has everything max upgraded with full supplies. Yet we try and take over SM while Yaks pour into SM from there side. Also as long as they have Klovan, if we do take SM, they easily get it back from the trebs there.
But no one listens to me. Then we wonder why IOJ hits us instead of BG. And last night they left us alone for the most part and were harassing BG taking Wildrun from them and the supply camp near it.

There needs to be some perspective here.

SoR’s Oceanic/European crew is only about 40 strong and realistically against a strong guild such as IoJ’s ND we struggle to hold even in 1 BL.

On a given night, we have about 25 players defending our home world and 15 players trying to make advances into EB. But invariably ND and AVTR from IoJ stack into our home world with 50+ players meaning we can make no advances only attempting to hold. In EB, iCoa from BG stacks into our valley with 30+ players again meaning we can make no advances only attempting to hold what we can.

The issue here is that if IoJ were attempting to win the matchup, ND and AVTR would not be in SoR borderlands, they would be in BG borderlands or EB attempting to take ground from them. They prefer to attack us because they know we stand no chance against them meanwhile BG may in fact be able to give them a decent fight, it’s good strategy if they’re looking to stay in Tier 2 but not if they want to win.

Of course because when ND capped the whole of BG’s BL and BG’s area of EB yesterday evening we were focusing on SoR. Attempting to win the matchup does not mean attacking who’s first. It means attacking everyone and those times that ND has capped the BL’s (which they have done multiple times though not at the same time) were to work up PPT and win, the problem is that we have massive gaps in our coverage. Some EU guilds/people would be great (We have cookies).

Lol I took the troll bait xD. Anyway lets not get off topic or a mod will close this down. I went to EB, it’s good fighting there. Picking off stragglers has never felt so good >:)

Title’s real classy for someone in last place.

The fighting on all sides has been amazing, I’m on SoS borderlands and It’s been really good fighting with SoS and we recently took our quarter back in EB ^.^. Though a few people were complaining about it being the same match-up as last week everyone seems to be giving it their all.

You can use an Immobiliser like Bolas if you miss melee attacks. Though I see it as the cast bar is the time it takes for the actual skill to finish, when I use a GS, the cast bar moves as I’m swinging the sword.

Oh and at the moment Warriors are better at Range than Rangers so there’s no need to roll a Ranger if you want to Range 60-80% of the time.

I’d say try a Warrior or a Thief but I have a feeling they will be hit with a nerfbat soon what with all the people complaining about it. Guardians are supports mainly but I have seen a few be pushers and front-liners with their GS. Mesmers are probably a good way to go since their clones are difficult to distinguish from the real thing in WvW and their mesmer portals are just amazing for infiltrating one of those side keeps in the BL but for the first few levels in PvE I’ve found it a little tough unless with a group. I’m sticking with my Ranger but taking this chance to level up my alts before they’re hit with the nerfbat.

That may be the case, Joey but alot of the other weapons aren’t viable enough to combat alot of other classes. I can hold my own with a SB and since I play a power/precision/toughness build Im not too much of a glass cannon but Anet nerfed GS right out of Beta which was sensible but made it nearly completely unusable for PvP and the sword rooting problem makes it barely viable in PvP. That’s both of the melee weapons gone.

The Axe is barely used enough but I love the Ricochet skill on it. The Longbow is good for defenses but I /facepalm whenever I come across a Ranger soloing with it since it’s incredibly slow. The Shortbow ‘1’ skill is the main damage dealing, even with the nerf, people are still going to use it as it’s the weapon they use for their build. Personally, I love my Ranger and will definitely see it through but I’ve suddenly lost alot of my effectiveness in WvW.

That kind of play style is really fun, I did that sometimes on IoJ with a party of 5 and we had so much fun when we were against Eredon Terrace.

This matchup has been fairly even, unlike getting destroyed by a server like last week this is fun

Get over it, it’s called tactics. No point complaining on the forums.
