In-Game Name: Mr Mxyzptlkx (From Mr. Mxyzptlk, Superman villain. He was a short trickster and I’m a short Asuran Mesmer, so it was only fitting haha)
Server: Dragonbrand(US)
Playstyle: I’m leveling right now, but I’m gonna be doing PvE, WvW and sPvP
Role: Scholar
So I decided to make a Necromancer today, and so far it’s been fun, but I’m completely lost on how to trait. Does anybody know of a good leveling build/guide out there that would help me out? Thanks!
No, I actually read it in this voice :P
I’d imagine that the Skyhammer falls under the category of Asuran technology, yes? If so, they could simply build a few of those weapons and completely obliterate the other races. Considering all of the advantages they have (Golems, Waypoints, Asuran Gates, etc) they could put a choke-hold on the other races by locking down their fast modes of transportation and take control that way.
The only reason I can think of them not doing that, is that there aren’t enough Asura to enforce their rule. They’d be able to stage a devastating war, but they wouldn’t be able to assert their command over the other races after they did manage to take over. They’d be subject to revolts, and eventually their rule would crumble unless they developed a larger force.
So after spending a while perusing forums and testing out different builds in spvp, I’ve decided that I want to roll a profession specifically for wvw. I’ve narrowed it down to 3 choices: engineer, Mesmer, and elementalist. My question is, which of the 3 do you guys think is the most viable/entertaining to play? I mainly like to solo roam or roam in large groups, but sometimes I like to stick with the Zerg for a change of pace. Thanks in advance guys
Haha I suppose so, I come from WoW and I have almost every class at 90. One more question: How much does the game change at 80? I’m talking WvW, of course, because right now I get utterly demolished whenever I try to do that.
Is choosing which Profession to play. Right now, my Engineer is at 68 but I keep reading about how they’re not nearly as good as other Professions, they don’t bring as much to the table as other Professions, etc. So I guess my question is, are Engineers really as bad as people seem to think they are? Why did you guys choose to play your Engineer over other classes out there? And should I continue leveling my Engineer to 80 so I’ll finally have an 80, or would it be in my best interest in the long run to swap to a different Profession? I mainly plan on doing PvP and WvWvW.
Thanks guys
