Do you utilize the build on metabattle? The power reaper? I guess my only concern is that the power gear wont be useful on Mesmer or Ele, whereas if I craft Vipers ascended at least I can use it on other characters. I just keep doubting necro as a viable main

Simply put, qT’s fractal reaper section is outdated imo. Right now without full buffs, unless you are using the soul reaper condi GS build. That death magic reaper does the same dps/utility as a power reaper.

Death magic reaper is about 9k dps, power GS is about 8.1, and the soulreaping condi GS build is about 11k, solo.

When you say 9k dps, is this on the same scale of when they state elementalist dps being something like 34k? Or are you quoting a different scale?

Would you say that metabattle’s rating is off then? And that qtfy is more accurate to most beneficial builds for given scenarios?

I am reading mixed opinions on whether or not power or condi is the best necro build for fractals? I am also getting mixed opinions on whether or not necro is even a strong fractal class.

I was hoping to create a thread with a bit more in depth discussion for both power and condi sides. I see that qtfy posts a more condi based build, but metabattle’s top rated necro fractal build is power reaper. I personally am playing power reaper right now, and am enjoying it, however I haven’t even broken T2 yet and haven’t touched condi since returning to the game a month ago, thus my opinion wont be of much use.
