TY, I was searching for Viathan’s Arm, not Kessex Hills
This is not the POI. I know the Viathan’s Arm POI can be confusing, and have already gotten it.
I know I have gotten the skill point before, and i believe it might have something to do with the Kessex Hills revamp. I have visited there a few times, trying to complete the zone and no NPC is there to start the Skill Point challenge. There are Toxified Togatl around, but the skill point starter is not (his Ol’ Stinky is however).
I have googled, and searched the forums for anyone else with this issue, and no one seems to have noticed or had a problem except me. I have checked back at the Skill Point several times and even completed the ‘Clear Toxic Alliance Forces from Plateau over Eukaryan Caves’ event to no avail.
I am not very rich atm, mostly cause I only mildly play the game. I have 20 gold, from just selling random drops that I get. I would classify myself as a ‘casual’ gamer. Do you think that I should be able to easily obtain those ‘leet mad lootz’ that some people save/spend tear soaked hours obtaining (I’m thinking of legendary weapons)?
Absolutely not. Why should I be able to easily obtain stuff, where other people that do play this game intensely have to spend hours/days to make/find them.
Are average Jane’s supposed to be able to afford Prada bags? Is Prada manipulating the market to their advantage to make average Jane’s buy their Prada bag? In a lot of peoples minds that think this market is being manipulated, yes. Prada is manipulating the price of the bag and thus should be banned from making/selling their bags. It is not the fact that the people BUYING the bag believe that that bag is WORTH the price, it is the the people NOT BUYING the bag believe that the people SELLING the bag is being manipulative and CHARGING too much.
The fact is, if Ecto’s (don’t even know what they are btw) are so valuable that they are being BOUGHT for 40s (which me, being a relatively poor noob, don’t see why 40s is that big of a deal) then they are WORTH 40s.
Products are not WORTH what people SELL them for. They are WORTH what people are willing to BUY it for. Just like the food/gas even gold prices. In a closed system, the price is destined to go up. It is called inflation. Only when there are true gold sinks, like we have in real life (yay taxes, where that money goes, no one knows) will Guild Wars 2 be able to handle inflation. GW2 does have some gold sinks in place, like repair costs, way-point costs and the like, but gold is still being generated faster than it is being destroyed. The trading post just shuffles gold around. No one CREATES wealth in the trading post. Until ANet has some really cool stuff in the Gem store, where people delete gold for gems will the inflation be able to be controlled, imo.
My 2 cents.

Oh thank goodness! This glitch has been bugging me forever. Anytime I would look up (think searching for vista routes) all textures would go transparent. Made the game very hard. Also in caves, if the camera would normally be behind a wall, all textures would do the same thing, made caves hard to walk through (could never tell where walls were).
Disabling Ambient Occlusion fixed it. Perhaps this will help Arena Net figure out what was causing it in the first place.
I come from the land of City of Heroes, where every player could zip around with super speed, fly over the City, or even leap over buildings in a single bound. I can no longer play my favorite game because of NCSoft did what it did. So I had to move on, however, I very much miss that feeling of being able to super speed around the mission/zone.
I play a mesmer atm, and the only way to get swiftness is to use the focus, which is my opinion the second worst weapon mesmers get, or use blink. Other than those two options, I have to crawl around, getting attacked every 5 feet which leads to being crippled, immobilized and the like. It just gets bothersome after a while.
I am currently level 76, with about 50% map completion. I am looking at having to spend the rest of that 50% map completion …. walking around to complete it. I surely am not demanding a mount, because I believe mounts are dumb…. but a way to significantly boost my speed/avoid trash mobs would be a significant plus.
I would have to say yes. I have noticed my Illusionary Warden dies so much faster than my Warlock does however.
I have personally have gone the route of clone factory/death in lieu of shatters since you can explode them one at a time at the 3 illusion limit rather than all at once and it lets me keep my phantasms.
Anytime I use a shatter, all my clones/phantasms go suicidal. How do you get them to go one at a time?
