I personally think this is ruining WvW. There really isn’t a way to fix it. But I hate it.
I’m a casual WvW player. I queue up every once in a while. My first WvW experience was fantastic. We were protecting an orb. The enemy attacking the gates. The battle lasted over 35 minutes. Just at that one gate. And it was spectacular. Back and forth. Enemy kept coming and coming. But we held them. It was a lot of fun.
I don’t see this anymore. At all. I don’t see strategy. I don’t see communication. Maybe it’s just my server, but all I see now is an enemy guild zerg, which I’ll add requires no skill whatsoever, simply numbers, cap an objective, followed by doing the same at another random objective. You cannot match them most times. And they always get what they’re going for because they scout what is undefended. It sounds strategic, and maybe in a way it is. But it takes the fun out of it for the defenders. I want those back and forth battles again. The hard fought tactics and strategy. This zerging is awful.
