Human female and sylvari female still don’t turn their head and torso to look at your current target or where you’re looking when you hold right mouse when they’re standing in their normal idle animations. It happens in the new personal story too, they will refuse to turn their head to look at any other NPC but my norn can do it fine.
It’s been like this for a long time, but with every other race in the game when I hold right mouse and look around my character’s head and torso will follow and look where I am aiming. With human female in her default idle animation her head does not turn at all or ever. It’s a shame because it sometimes bugs in the new personal story too!
She doesn’t even look at the current friend/foe you have in your target either. It’s a shame because all the other races do it except for human female.

Why not make Embrace the Darkness convert boons to conditions on foes? Alternatively, make it just remove conditions on yourself and pulse them back to enemies a bit like necromancer dagger 4 does. That way you’re not ruining the teaching that conditions are bad to have on you, and Pain Absorption has some use other than “ok i took condis now what ima die :<<<”
But at the moment, Embrace the Darkness and Unyielding Anguish are very similar with minor differences. The trait line name is corruption, kitten it! You should be doing some corrupting of enemy boons or giving them their conditions back.
You don’t have to keep the conditions on yourself, just send them to nearby enemies instead. That way, Unyielding Anguish keeps its usefulness, Pain Absorption becomes useful and synergies well with Embrace the Darkness. Banish Enchantment needs a bit of work though, perhaps converting conditions instead or giving extra conditions for those boons removed. Empowering Misery should change, too. At the moment with not needing to keep conditions on yourself it doesn’t make sense. Perhaps it heals more depending on how injured you are, or converts 2 conditions on yourself to boons.
You really killed what made Mallyx unique, like what has been said before it really was a “fight fire with fire” design and that made it so awesome. Now it’s generic apply conditions and wait for stuff to die, but it sucks at that because torment isn’t that great on its own.
Just please, remember the trait line is called Corruption. That is what you should be doing!
CORRUPTION! CORRUPTING!

Personally when I imagine a movie monster I imagine you running from them only to turn a corner and have them stare you in the face. Teleportation fits so well, and it should be on at least one GS skill.
“Oh, you’re running from me? Nope, now I’m right in front of you again!”
At the moment, warrior sword five (riposte) is bugged. As it stands, it doesn’t function the way Counterblow does. Counterblow applies a buff to yourself that blocks the next incoming hit and it does not have a cast bar. This means people cannot interrupt counterblow; using a daze on you while it is active simply means you’ll retaliate as intended (given the attack wasn’t Unblockable).
Riposte, however. Riposte applies a buff much like Counterblow does, but Riposte has a cast bar. This is where the bug and the trouble starts. The cast bar is applied BEFORE the buff, meaning that there’s a gap of 0.25 seconds where an enemy can hit you through the block and damage you, potentially wasting the block. They can interrupt it if they chose, setting it on full CD if they use CC instead of a normal strike. This is…well, that’s stupid. It defeats the purpose of the skill. Simply making it function the same way as counterblow would make the skill 100% more effective.
As it stands, the moment I hit counterblow I begin blocking. This means I can literally block incoming hits 0.01 seconds before they hit, which is excellent as it means skill triumphs and clutch plays are prevalent. Riposte does not function this way, and when I try to do the same and block right before a strike connects I simply get hit through the block even though I am performing the animation and clicked the button at the right time. It needs looking into because it makes riposte very buggy and…awkward to use, knowing you have to time it 0.5 seconds before you even need it, which means people will just avoid it entirely.
So I logged in to my real character after doing some HoT demo testing and I got an extra reward chest with this in it. I’m guessing this is a bug and I’m not supposed to have it, right?

Just my feedback from the beta so far, sword main-hand is very awkward. They said they wanted to encourage strafing (as they have done with staff) but with sword, due to the nature of the second auto-attack brutal blade you don’t -WANT- to strafe. Because of how the skill is a boomerang (which is very weird for a melee weapon) you want to remain perfectly still, and that’s not good.
Plus, the full auto attack combo is very clunky feeling and the animations seem to be a mix of animations just thrown messily together in a combo. It doesn’t feel fluid. It feels ugly.
Perhaps changing brutal blade to a simple double strike attack would make it 1000% better. Thoughts? Or do you agree with me?
I can confirm the bug, and I bring screenshot evidence from the RP community.
