Guild Wars 2

People tried to tell me that Anet hated gvg and I didn’t believe it. It’s been really hard to understand why they haven’t helped us do GvGs in some way without interfering with wvw. Although, I honestly don’t see how it interferes all that much anyway. But I honestly thought they were probably working on something for us and just hadn’t announced it yet.

I feel like I just opened my presents on Christmas and all I got was a knitted sweater from Grandma, and a lump of coal. I’ve been a good boy this year I swear!

How large is the file for this patch? None of the information presented gives me any idea of how long it will take to download, such as the number of files or the percentage, as 1 file could be more than half of the entire download. Thank you!

Here’s Pingplotter this morning when I had almost no lag issues in WvW in EB with some decent sized fighting:

I’ve been experiencing a lot of lag spikes for a while myself, maybe 3 weeks I’m not really sure. Some days are almost lag free, most days I can’t really play at all. I’m on TC, been playing for a few months now and I honestly can’t remember any lag issues before. I haven’t changed my pc in any way, internet is the same, I do the same things as always in the game. Mostly wvw, but I tried to just level up an alt a few times and still get lag in the same kind of ways as in wvw.

Nothing else I do on the internet has changed. Play other games with no issue, watch netflix on 3 pc’s at the same time with no issues. Is there any news from Anet about these issues? I’d really like to keep playing, but I don’t know what to do next. Tried the pingplotter thing they said to use and it shows a real bad connection to their servers, pingplotter seems to show a good connection to other places. Anyone with any ideas?

Tarnished Coast has the greatest wvw community I’ve ever been a part of, I transferred with some guild mates and we found something here, hard to put it into words exactly. But it truly felt almost like the entire server was part of the same guild or family, all working together.

We want to spread the love. Big guilds or No guilds, TC always works well with each other.

The past 5-10ish days me and many guildies have been getting bad server lag where the game will freeze (lag freeze not software issue) and then either 1) the game will stay frozen for a nice minute or so then disconect and i will get a client lost connection to server error message OR 2) I will wait 20 seconds then the game will “unlag freeze” which will make everything that happend in the past zoom by thus returning to where i was BUT this causes me to die a lot and happens too frequently to be excused.

I’m having this EXACT issue. Very hard to be any use in wvw any longer. Can’t seem to do anything else on the game either. Some days are better than others.

There have been a few posts within the last couple of weeks about people lagging. Doesn’t seem to be specific to any certain zone, just a general increase in lag. Most people I play with haven’t experienced it at all, just a certain few with no connection that I can see. I’m in the US, never had lag issues before recently. Some days are worse than others.

I logged in and had some mail. I read all the mail and went to Lion’s Arch, talked to people with Stars and felt completely lost. Tried looking at wreckage to investigate and it didn’t seem to have any point to it. I did one of the Fractal dungeon things. I just really don’t understand what to do, or what I’m going to get from doing it.

Also, I looked up a few pages on the wiki, and the fractal page that Anet posted prior to today. I’m definitely confused.

I logged in and went to Lion’s Arch, talked to people with Stars and felt completely lost. I don’t want to look up on websites for what to do, or why I should do them. I’m still lost, tried the fractal dungeon, talked to every npc with a star on their head, went to the shore to search for wreckage and found about 10 things laying around and it didn’t seem to do anything.

And I really don’t know why I would give this other npc stuff for free? Why don’t they say what they’re giving me besides:

“To fight Karka”

Hooray! What do I get for donating you items to fight Karka exactly?

That would definitely help people looking for a guild on a specific server. But, it would also hurt the search process for people who are open to server transfers. Most posts have the server name in the Title, so just hit Shift +F and type in the server name, and it’ll highlight those posts automatically as a page search through your browser.

I’ve been looking around for a guild that’s primarily a WvW focused guild. I’m a level 68 Engineer currently, I play mostly 9:30pm-1am cst. Most nights I log in, and Q up for WvW. Are there any guilds out there that I could basically just log in, hop into a voice chat, and there would be several people in the guild running WvW?

I’m basically just tired of feeling like a solo wvw player and not contributing as much as I could. I’ve always been a team player. Always played co-operative play games even with my 2 brothers growing up. I’m always spending too much on siege blueprints, and trying to do everything I can to contribute.
