Wish banners were like toolkits that engineers have. Extra F1 skills that do things with them, or you can plop them down like how it is normally.
Yea…I’ve been noticing this happening ever since the first beta weekend I was in. Gets really annoying as a warrior too. Start 100B, then target runs out of it to get to position you were at a few seconds ago thats behind you or to the side.
I honestly wouldn’t mind more vet mobs, but the champion ones are just ridiculous. Most of the time when I start to attack one, it turns around and one shot downs me without any warning whatsoever with a regular melee attack. Thats about 19-20k HP gone with one hit in less than a second. At least lower their attack speed so we can see it coming.
If I remember right, it got nerfed in beta cause of the old effect sigil of doom had (something like increased damage on next attack after swap I think?). It could honestly go back to 1% and not be OP, they would just have to change CrackShot piercing to not increase damage of Kill Shot as it pierces targets.
Crit chance is 81% with Accuracy Sigil stacked. Keep in mind if you have the Discipline trait for 9% crit with full adren, it doesn’t show up on character sheet (it still works tho). Add the Butternut Squash food buff for 100 prec/10% crit dmg, brings you up more.
Honestly, it seems like the shield wouldn’t be a good choice for PvE, since the 4 ability won’t even work on most champ mobs, and the block ability is pretty long CD IMO. If you want to do more blocking and damage reduction, Guardian really is a better choice. Near perma Protection boon, LOTS of Aegis (block) procs/boons, and regen too.
Can always use Ruby Orbs for armor upgrade instead of divinity runes. They give a decent amount of crit dmg and some power/prec. I’m sitting at 100% crit chance now with about 92 crit dmg. No ascended gear. Actually had to switch my stacking sigil to power cause the prec one was being wasted.
I got SOO happy when I saw this…can finally do my first monthly.
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this. It is getting ridiculous how many different currencies we need to gather now. Wonder how many we will have by the end of this year….
Banners could really use some love. People have suggested having them act as sort of engineer kits, you can keep one active for a passive buff, then F1,2, or 3 for a more powerful effect. That would work out nice, and give them some much needed mobility instead of having to pick them up after each engagement.
Wanted to let you know that these work.
Arms – Crackshot: Just tried it right now, only has 8s cooldown with it, not 10 anymore.
Arms – Forceful Greatsword: Works with spears now, did underwater daily and it was applying on crits.
Tactics – Fast Healer: This works, its the small little number that comes up. If you divide, it comes out exactly as 10% of the large number.
Would like an invite if possible also. Thanks!
I had the same problem, none of my passwords were working and the reset page was giving me errors. I just sent them and email and they resolved it and reset my password in less than a day. BTW, support site is working just fine on my end.
A good change for it, I think, would be to turn it into a Physical class buff (so it is affected by the -20% physical CD trait) and somehow let us use our utilities still.
Keep in mind, that the people that take the time to post are usually the ones with something negative to say. Hence, I will take the time to say: I like magic find. I’m sure there are plenty of people who like magic find. They are just busy looking for rares and not here complaining.
PCPrincess, is there a specific reason you like it? Do you feel it brings some aspect to the game that makes it worthwhile? Genuinely interested.
For those saying it is a sort of hard mode, why have to wear a set of gear for it? Why not just build some sort of trigger into an encounter/dungeon for such a thing. Can talk to an NPC at start of dungeon and it will buff mobs a bit for chance at better loot in that current instance. Or not kill an add in a fight right off and it transforms into a powerful mob that gives better loot when killed. Plenty of more elegant ways of doing it.
I am sure they could just ‘turn’ the MF stat into something else, perhaps. That way gear pieces with it are not removed, and people can still use them. Maybe even have them become unsoulbound if such a thing happens to they could at least sell them if the stats are not what they want. Then again, I have no idea how difficult it would be to do such a thing from a programming end.
It also helps bots it seems like. Since it only works for kill drops (as a dev said) most bot trains I see just telehack to different areas/events with high mob spawns. I would really hope they could just cut out MF, and instead reward an item chest from event completions, or as you said Greyfeld, jump drop rates all around.
Yes, I know that. But why put it as such a wanted stat in an MMO. Only times I see stats such as MF is in games like Diablo and other dungeon crawlers.
I can make about 1-2g and hour just farming Orr events, selling any green items, salvaging blues/whites, marketing rares/gatherables. In the end though, looks are subjective. Myself, the only T3 that looks nice is the Seraph heavy armor. All the other cultural stuff looks like junk to me. They just don’t seem worth 100g+ for a set. If the prices are to stay as that then change their quality to exotic (even though it really doesn’t have much effect, most people transmute it anyway), give it some sort of aura/spell effect similar to legendaries, albeit not at flashy.
Medium armors do seem limited to either long coats or some odd looking tops. You would think in a game like this there would at least be tons of armor looks for each that were very unique, even if they are hard to get. There just doesn’t seem to be much variation at all.
One thing that kinda puzzles me about this game, why is there a magic find stat? Perhaps a Dev could give us some reasoning why they chose to have such a stat that can be put on actual gear (I wouldn’t mind so much if it was say, just food buffs/guild banners that provided it). Do they want us to have many different sets of gear on us at a time, or am I missing some aspect of this?
Can’t socket jewels in armor. Only in the trinket slots (neck, rings, ear)
Not sure about gossamer, but orichalcum ore is not classified as ‘rare’. Its name is listed in white. Rarer materials would count as like stuff that has blue or yellow names. Seems like it works like that. I use crude kits and still get orichalcum ore fairly often.
Someone posted this on Guru forum. Think they tested it a bit (like 200 hits or something with/without) and said it seemed to be working, just doesn’t add up to the hero sheet. Then again, 200 hits isn’t much….
