I was wondering if Pure of Voice affects yourself, not just your allies. I’ve been using it for about a day now and it seems like it works sometimes and it doesn’t at other times. Anyone know for certain?

So I just hit 34 and brown stuff just started coming out of my character. It makes it look like my warrior is dirty and the stench is so bad you can see it coming off of him. Anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?

Adding my voice to the negative feedback on Trahearne. I don’t find him a credible hero character. He is just plain annoying. The main issues for me is that he starts off quite pathetic and then without any believable character development he’s suddenly in charge and apparently some great leader. The script is mundane, full of platitudes, without any depth, and the voice acting is flat and uninspiring.

To be honest, the whole of Destiny’s Edge seems like a young teenager’s club with soap opera drama and tantrums. I’d like to give them all a smack in the mouth.

Would love to meet some npcs with real personality.

Snaff died… I’m sure that is reason enough for them to argue the way they did.

So I was running AC when suddenly a member of our group goes black. He was kicked out of the instance. To him and a few other people in my party thought that he was either kicked from the group or he had left. He did not leave. In fact, In my UI it looked as if we still had all 5 members togethers. We tried to reform, but now we can’t even leave the party. We are stuck with eachother

So I bought embers to help me finish map completion faster, but not even 10 minutes after I popped my him my ember just keeled over! I had thought they lasted forever as long as they didn’t die or you zoned out. Did they change this recently?

Tried your strategy, it works kittenedly well. I did not realize the range on the catapults were so far. whenever a group of mobs spawn a quarter of the map fills up with snowballs

I think building snowmen and catapults everywhere is much easier, doesnt require team coordination (pug friendly) and works much better than the above.

For some reason a lot of the time I build Catapults, they just sit there, I was with a few groups who tried this and for one reason or another, it didn’t work out. I snowmen were very good at tanking mobs so that the sieges can clean up. I will try this strategy out some more

So most of you are probably feeling that perfecting the Toypocalypse is absolutely impossible, I have figured out the simple strategy necessary to go all 10 rounds without losing a single gift Dolyak.

The secret to this strategy is the Toy Repair Gun, during the first 2 rounds it is possible for a single person to kill an entire wave by himself. Here is how you do it:

I. Make Them Fight Eachother
As you the wave spawns quickly run over and reprogram a toy with this order priority:
1. Golem (can not stun golem)
2. Princess
3. Griffin
4. Ventari
5. Soldier
When you do this more or less the entire wave of toys will attacked the reprogrammed toy. Stun the attacking toys (stuns 3 mobs at a time) and when your reprogram comes off cooldown the good toy will either be dead or close to dead. Choose a NEW toy in the group following the same priority order and reprogram the new toy. Rinse and repeat. However, DO NOT KILL THE LAST TOY OF EACH WAVE!

*note you may need 2 or even 3 people on Toy Repair Guns in the later rounds

II. Keep A Toy Alive
At the end of each wave keep a NON-GOLEM toy alive, but spamming the stun on them. This will give your team as much time as you need to build up your fortifications. Use as much time as you need, because that toy ain’t going anywhere as long as you are keeping him stunned.

III. Decoy
Your decoy is much more than just a mere decoy, it has the same abilities as you do. It can both stun and reprogram a totally different toy. So, use your decoy as you engage new waves, it will speed up the process and help keep the whole wave together.

IV. Hay
Every once in a while, you’ll find hay laying around the center area where the dolyaks are. It may seem obvious as to what this is for, but I see so many people ignoring it. The hay can HEAL THE DOLYAKS. It is pretty amazing and you should use them to heal the Dolyaks with the least amount of health.

V. Toxx
So, Toxx sucks. When Toxx spawns 2 or 3 people should immediately pick up Toy Cap Rifles and try to kite Toxx as far away from the center as possible. However, Toxx has a tendency to turn around and make a B line towards your Dolyaks. When this happens try to knock him out with the Rifle Butt ability, but there is a good chance that this will either not work because of Defiance or he will walk right back up to the Dolyak. At this point EVERYONE needs to pick up a Toy Cap Rifle and burn Toxx down as fast as possible. He will go down surprisingly fast if everyone is spamming 1 with the cap rifle.

VI. What should everyone else be doing?
Everyone else should be constantly fortifying defenses and picking off stragglers, there are times when all the toys will just scatter, it is important for everyone to work together swiftly to clean up the mess as fast as possible. Cap Guns are the best at taking down enemies fast. Also, in my opinion the ballistas are far superior to the catapults, espeically as you upgrade them. Catapults have a tendency to just sit there and not attack.

Please comment on what you guys think and if there are any modifications you can suggest.

There is also a set of light skins available on from the Gem shop (think its called Primeval) – it has skin tight leggings that would certainly be called ‘well-fitting’.

Oh yea I see it, the light one is the profane armor, the legs will work for what I am trying to do thank you! I wish there was a way to buy just the legs though…

Anyone know if there is any female light pants that look like regular pants? not skirts or anything just well fitting pants. There are tons of medium armor that look like this, but i haven’t seen a single light version.

EA not working sucks, As a D/D ele I just specced out of it. I am glad however, that RTL works better, better not perfectly.

After the EA nerf, I would place staff dead last. Scepter/Dagger combo has a lot of burst potential and can be very fun.

AC was definitely Ninja buffed, I used to be able to more or less solo the graveling encounter on Path 1, Howling King, but now I need to rely on other people. I’m not complaining exactly, but its the entire dungeon that has been buffed, not just this one encounter. This isn’t the first time ANet has ninja buffed dungeons, I’d like to know before putting together a rag tag team to complete an easy dungeon, only to have it become a wipefest.

So, I’ve been running with superior sigil of air on my main hand and superior sigil of battle on my off-hand. My sigil of battle works fine, but I rarely see the lightning strike from the sigil of air. I have read recently that they might be on the same cd and thinking of switching air to a sigil of force. Wondering what people’s thoughts were on that

D/D is powerful, but it is bursty and leaves you with a long cooldown period where can not do anything. On top of that being in melee range and so squishy is a risk we have to take to do any real damage. The damage done at range with staff is pretty pitiful. The AoEs are ok, but far from powerful. Also even though elementalists have 20 skills many of those skills are very situational and are not used 90% of the time you are fighting and many times when needed are locked out of that attunement.

You mentioned that stuff died very quickly as an elementalist. If you were to play elementalist at level 80 you would find this not to be the case. We scratch mobs at level 80, thats an overstatement, we tickle them. I am forced to play D/D now because its the only spec I have found to do large amounts of damage, but it takes an extreme amount of effort in comparison to any class with any other weapon system.

Mesmers are weak, I 100% agree with you there. Both classes have the right to QQ because the state of both are pretty pitiful PVE.

Zojja doesn’t like Eir because Snaff died as a result of Eir allowing Logan to make the choice of leaving instead of forcing him to stay. Eir was the leader and Snaff died as a result of the decisions she made. Snaff was Zojja’s mentor, so you can imagine why she hates Eir so much.

Oh thank god, I periodically have trouble logging in, but usually after attempting to log in 3-4 times it’ll just let me in. But I was freaking out just now, when it wouldn’t no matter how many times I tried.

They are kinda squishy, emphasis on kinda but you have so many ways to survive.

Fire vs Air Attunement

Air is utility right now, not DPS. It doesn’t have solid DPS on any weapon. Fire always wins no matter what choices you make, in every situation, by a significant margin.

Air is currently not designed as a primary attunement but something you switch into periodically for the utility.

I agree with Yukishiro. If you look at the move-set for air you really only have 1 attack. The 2 attack is horrible, takes forever to discharge and does less damage to less targets the 1 attack could have done during the same amount of time
