Either way, it’s always an individual decision leading to kittened actions. No matter if it’s someone using zoomhack, teleporting into keeps, rezzing through walls, dancing on corpses, taunting and laughing after a 10vs1 and so on ….

Worst case is if everything starts with a kittened commander…but then you can also only blame the commander. If he has nothing better to do than that…well.

Where i’m trying to go is this: In the future just don’t give a whole server a bad reputation for some idiots. Yes, they are on this server, but they aren’t the server. You’re doing all those people wrong who have done nothing at all yet they get compared to those individual morons…that’s just not fair :p

Thanks for the interesting experience of this first league.
We had quite some nice fights in that time and I hope that Anet learned from it to keep those Achievements out of WvW for the next season…one can only hope and dream.

I wonder if people even read Grotesque’s post on Page 6 or if they ignored it intentional cause it made way too much sense for them….

Either way, i’d be ashamed to behave like some people in the threads when they were facing Desolation. After all it’s still a game and you guys come up here and get absolutely mad over it and come up with conspiracy theorys and other garbage.

If you would waste that time and effort into actually playing WvW then you guys would maybe even win the league and not Desolation.

But it’s always easier to accuse other servers of things from which you all knew that they aren’t true, right? For some people it seems to be way more important to be a hero on the internet than actually enjoying the game. So please, do us a favor: Grab your capes and fly away, so we can have at least 1 nice match up thread before this league is over….

By PRIMETIME I mean the time, that even Aurora Glade has que for entering any borderlands. And judging by the numbers of Desolation players, you had ques too. And guess what; some people drink beer with their buddies and play WvW on Saturday evening. Looks like for you the best time for playing/farmin points is Monday early morning, when people go to work, school, college … I would not be proud of the fact, your biggest opponent at that time are reinforced doors and veteran guards.

The people that PvD make maybe 5% of our active WvW players…and I doubt that anyone enforces them to do that. We’re not proud of that crap, we all would love to have awesome fights but at the moment it’s almost impossible…so for once stop that hating bullcrap towards Desolation. It’s getting really boring.

WvW is a 24 hour business and due to the huge amount of AP hunter and PvE players I can understand why we play a bit different at the moment. In the primetime it’s impossible to get an organized force on a map that’s large enough to compete with guildgroups. I think we’re already lucky when we get 20 people on the same map.

The most frustrating thing here is, and that has been stated a dozen times before even though everyone likes to ignore this fact, that those random players don’t listen. You try to help them but they response with “I paid for the game so kitten you, i can do whatever i want”. And then you see the 5 Signet Warrior with full CoF gear and Rifle/GS run into the merc camp and there he’s gone for the next 2 hours…

I will be very surprised if Abbadon don’t win the first season. They have the largest night presence of all the Silver league servers and can quite easily golem rush and flip anything they want.

This hate goes nowhere, at least we can agree on this . But the fact that a lot of players from Abbadon and Gandara complain about Desolation players should give you a hint about how your server is represented by “some”.
And, unfortunatelly, the JP from EB is part of the WvW season 1 ach, so guess what … a lot of players will want to do it, me included. I can only presume that you did it already or you are about to. Beeing ganked by 2 Deso players who are in a high spot and damage the ones under is not the best way to represent your server, idiots, trolls, whatever you call them.
I got danced on the corpse before, and i danced back when I manage to kill em, but is a practice I don’t like and I discourage. Only thing we can do is to promote honorable fights and behavior on map chat, TS, guild, etc.
On the other side, we have good fights this week, must say, no matter the huge blobs I see specially during the evening. We blob, you blob … everyone is blobing.
As I see it, during the day all 3 servers are pretty even, with Deso a bit above. But in the end, the difference will be made by the night crew’s of the servers, and this is a sad thing :/ .
Last thought : when the PvE players will get their achivements, the wvw will be back to (almost) normal .

Maybe people on desolation are also just mature enough to not whine about those things in public or simply don’t care about it since they know that you can’t change it anyway. If people want to act like idiots they will keep doing it until people stop giving them a stage for their behavior.

I haven’t done EB JP yet and i’ll probably wait until the last week, when most of the achievement hunters are gone. Maybe i’ll try it in the middle of the night…who knows. I don’t really care tooo much about it. What I really want is good fights and that people stop acting like kiddies cause they got ganked or because someone used a golem more than the opponent. ’Cause this stuff is going nowhere…

Let’s enjoy this league cause it finally brought back life into something that seemed to be rather boring the last couple of months. Yes, it has its downsides cause it brought a lot of AP hunter in, but it also brought people closer to WvW who were afraid or overwhelmed by WvW until now and who are willing to learn and want to participate in their server to win. And that’s a freakin good thing imho.

You might not encourage it, but it still happends. Desolation is by far the less honorable server I ever fought. On our BL I get often into 1 vs 1 fights with players from your server, and when they start to lose they flee like rabbits or come back with more buddys to save their … kitten.
And in Obs Sanctum all players get along, I even was in a party with one guy from Abbadon just to get pass those gankers from your server.
You like it or not, this is the server you represent.
Abbadon is far more honorable in fights and behavior this week, hail to you Abbadon !

I really wonder if you are just frustrated because Desolation is winning at the moment or if you really just wear some pink goggles to ignore the fact that every every server has its idiots.

Yesterday on Desolation BL I got chased down by 6 or 7 Gandara players. They kept chasing me for 5 minutes cause they couldn’t kill me. Sadly I ran into more Gandaras and guess what…those 6 or 7 guys then started dancing on my corpse.

A few hours later I went into the JP cause I wanted to do the achievement on your BL and guess what. Even though i was /bowing and /waving the Gandaras there attacked me, pulled me off with mesmer and all those things.

Same happened in AM BL later, too…

So please, for the love of god, accept the fact that absolutely every server has its black sheep. That doesn’t mean that those few guys represent the entire server. It’s just easier to point out the negative stuff than the postive things.

Cause we also had quite some interesting fights in Deso BL last night. Defending Bay against quite some large numbers, running from tower to tower defending it, trying an attack every now and then…it was really fun. We should talk about those kind of things and not give trolls and idiots the attention they want by doing kitten like that.

So stop the whining and focus on the good aspects of the game…eventually the trolls and other negative players will get bored if nobody pays them attention anymore.

But everything else is working fine. I can make screenshots of rares, masterwork, my legendary, everything…but not of ascended. That’s a bit weird, isnt it?

So basically whenever I try to make a screenshot of an ascended weapon the tooltip of the item just doesn’t show up. The rest of the screen is perfectly normal and all other rarities of items works, too.

I’ve played around with some graphic settings like switching to window mode or playing around with the level of details (even though i didn’t know what i really expected) and nothing worked.

Even though the lag was unbearable it got quite entertaining after a while.
The new BL has tons of potential to deliver nice fights with all the possibilities of surprise attacks and everything. Really looking forward to see more fights there in the future.

Hopefully with a better serverperformance then…but who am I kidding? The performance really went downhill the last few months. That’s kinda sad. It’s not only skilllag now, it became full force lag with rubberbanding and DCs…

I find that comment rather interesting, because whenever we engaged either BOOM or OSC solo last night they immediately got reinforcements from the other guild. And after a while both guilds were roaming together on Kodash BL. Don’t know why you are getting so worked up when it’s a fact that exactly that thing happened last night…

And looking at the amount of random players on you I would guess that you guys had a commander tag up.
Either way…SFR providing little interesting fights so far. 99% blob, 1% fun.

But we had quite the blast in Kodash Garrison…those fights were sadly very laggy but also very funny. I hope we will get some more fights this week with less lag.

People forget that it needs a bit work to get the “Pugs” going. Like advices, good leading and stuff like that. Ofc they think it’s normal if a commander and his ppl troll 24/7 and only run against wooden door or run as soon as they see the enemy…

If someone is new to WvW he gets a “LOL GO BACK TO LA NOOB” thrown against his head.
If someone asks for advice on what gear to get he gets 20 different answers from Cleric Gear to Berserker Gear no matter what class he is playing.

tl;dr: If you want people to learn, you have to teach them and take the time to help them. You can’t expect them to know everything when they set foot into WvW for the first time…

Maybe you should stop playing EB then and try out some BLs…but i doubt that even in EB 90% of the people are running Zerker. But hey, let’s just keep exaggerating all the time…

And I have to say that i’m rather disappointed from this match up so far.
Either you find nothing or you find really, really big groups.

It’s more than obvious that the amount of gold, that’s getting swapped into the game through the last 2 events, is a lot higher than the amount of Precursors getting created either through drops or rewards from chests.

I think most gold created came through the gauntlet. And the gauntlet doesn’t yield any drops. So there isn’t even a chance to create a precursor there. On the other hand you can easily make a few hundred gold per day.

Ectos got up by at least 25% of their old value, the same happened to Dusk and Legend and a lot more items will follow if the people decide to make use of the insane amount of gold they made due to the events.

People laughed at me when I told them that exactly this thing will happen…well, there you go…

So i’m really tempted to get those 3 tools…they’re nice. No doubt about it.

But I wonder: If they bring something above Orichalcum will you still be able to use them to gather that new stuff then or will you have to buy new tools? Would be quite nice if there was a definite answer on that before I spend 2400 Gems.

My Guildie made over 500 Gold from doing the Queen’s Gauntlet alone. THAT is new money entering the economy.

Wait… what?! How did someone make 500 gold just playing the boss arena?

There was/is a way to farm a certain Tier 3 boss in the gauntlet.
The fight only takes 15-20 seconds and rewards you with i believe 50 silver
So if you got enough tickets, which is easy since you can just buy them from the NPC, you can do this forever.

A good way to prevent all of this would’ve been to not sell those tickets in the first place. But well…

I honestly think that a nerf at this point is useless. The damage is done. The hardcore players made more money they couldve ever dreamed of just by playing 24/7 either Cursed Shore or Pavilion and in the end the normal players will suffer from this because those people can manipulate the market now the way they want to.

I think ectos are the first alarming sign. Thanks to that insane amount of gold swapping into the game with that update people have to care less about what they buy and how much they pay for it. People will be able to buy their precursors without a problem now and in the end you will have to pay 1000g or so for the popular precursors because right now i doubt that the amount of them being dropped each day can keep up with the amount of people being able to buy them from the TP…

This update is a freakin disaster and in the end it might be a punch in the face for everyone who doesnt want to or cannot afford to farm Pavilion/Gauntlet 24/7 because it will take them even longer to achieve whatever they want (mostly Legendary).

I’m rather glad that this week is over. We had quite some funny and good fights, but most of the time we ran into what will be shown in the screenshot attached below. I surely won’t critize for playing the game they want it to play, but I really have no idea how this can be fun for anyone involved…well whatever.

Now we only have to hope that they’ll lock up Viz, SFR and ER in 1 match up for the next 4 weeks. I think that would be the best thing that could happen for all servers out there.

I know a lot of people have a lot of reasons to moan about the current event. That the story is rather lame, that it’s just a grindfest and it kills the atmosphere and whatsoever.

But in general i think it’s quite nice to have a spot where you can turn the brain off, turn the music on and just farm and do events and get some items that bring you closer to whatever goal you might have set yourself.

Now here comes the problem and the part where i want to start the QQ:
People who are not lv 80 get upscaled once again and once again they receive XP and everything for killing mobs and participating in the events. Which means in the last 2 days the number of pre 80 players in the pavilion is higher than the people actually being lv 80 which leads to the rather annoying fact that it takes forever to kill a boss because especially at Kuraii people just get oneshot and refuse to respawn and walk back “because they would die anyway again”

I think that’s the point where Anet has to change stuff. It’s not on me to decide which would be the best way, but there are quite some options from putting a level restriction on those areas to giving out REAL 80s like the one in sPvP or simply not giving out rewards for people who are actually DEAD for longer than let’s say 60 seconds . But i’m rather sure it’s not intended from Anet that people lay dead on the floor leeching their way to Lv 80 with that event.

So enough QQ for now, that was just one thing that bothered me really hard that people aren’t even trying to be useful and just abuse this area to make a fresh character and leech it to 80 within 2 days.

That fight in Kodash garrison was really amazing. An hour of intense back and forth action…and you guys put up a really solid defense.

Right now I need round about 300g and I just want to know what’s the best way to make this money WITHOUT running a dungeon over and over and over again until your brain melts and drips out of your ears like pudding.

Everyones like “CoF is the best way to make money”…but what’s the second best way? I hate this dungeon with a fiery passion cause i’ve been there too often and finding groups is always annoying, anyway..

Let vizunah play how they want to play, dont really see why people have to flame them for it. You all know that golemrushing and taking t3 keeps is fun as hell. Even if I know that some things that they do might be a bit weird (running from fights etc), but I do not see why you should complain on them for it.

Let them play how they like to play, keep fighting how you want to and everything will be good. You have to admit, you have gotten a kittenload of badges and bags out of vizunah corpses, as have I also.

I don’t think that their playstyle is the mainproblem, but people are just fed up with a lotta Viz players strulling around like “LOL WE ALWAYS GOT THE MOST POINTZ WE ARE THE BEST PLAYAZ IN DA WURLD”

Yeah, well, with unbalanced golemrushes (never less than 10 golems because, you know, gate could withstand that longer than 60 seconds), zoomhacks (2 days ago at Woodhaven, can’t get more obvious than that) and other things it’s just that people are sick and tired of those guys :P

We win the majority of open field battles, we often handle situations when they have twice our numbers and yet they act sooo kitten kitteny. 10 people kill you alone, what do they do? Spam /laugh…that’s so embarrasing.

So the only ranking that Vizunah is really #1 is actually the “Bad Mannered Ranking” and i wouldn’t be too proud of that.

But i gotta give it to WAR and the other ARs at this point.
The action on AR BL last night was awesome.
Banja and Grotesque did an awesome job commanding and i had a blast there.
So much fun in those fights…hard to put it into words.
Complete opposite of your french collegues.
Actionpacked, close fights that went on and on for minutes…just awesome.

So i have to play a little bit dumb here now…but how are you supposed to report people that do stuff that you can’t choose from the drop down menu when you click on “Report player”?

You report someone for glitching through a door in WvW and portal people inside -> Scamming? Verbal Abuse?

You report someone for taking all your golems in WvW and destroying them by running into enemies or jumping off of cliffs -> Offensive Language? Spamming?

There is no option for those kind of things ingame.
So i decided to write a ticket and report the players the “old” way.
The response?

Rightclick on the player portrait or the player nickname in the chat and click “report player”

Well that’s a bummer.
So can anyone enlighten me what’s the right way to report stuff like that?

The matchup is still fresh but i’m already more impressed from Riverside than i could probably ever be from Vizunah. The fight they gave us in Deso BL was really nice. I’m looking forward to more fights like that in the next 7 days.

Well I wonder why they don’t merge servers if they are having trouble with their rating system. I think there are quite a few lower tier servers that struggle even more than Desolation. Why not simply merge them together…? Transfer the smaller server to the bigger server → more players → hopefully more equality in WvW.

It might get boring for other servers to hear those complains but Desolation really has the problem to get anything running besides EB+Deso BL while our enemies can rather easily keep all 4 maps busy. So bare with us, we just get a bit frustrated with those matchups…

I know I’m not fighting in this matchup, but I would like to point out that you (Desolation) have it lucky, you are right near the top of the WvW leaderboard, AG is going down due to most of us not caring about points, it’s getting to a point where people want to go down tiers and I’m talking about a server that used to beat Riverside more than they beat us.

Why is that a bad thing? There is no reward for becoming first place anyway. And the quality of the fights in lower tier is so much better then t1/2. Right now i hope BB gets a good beating and drops some tiers so we can finally leave the blobs from deso/viz/all german servers behind us.

Well for that you guys have to improve first and stop blobbing yourself…?! Because right now i think BB has worse blobs than Desolation…

At least I do agree on the part that points are completely useless.
Doesn’t matter if you place first or third, there is no reward at all.
And i think it’s better that way until they finally can make fair matchups.

Sadly this week it’s hard to find nice fights. There are just way too many zergs from Vizunah and BB on the map. You try to get a tower, a scout of any of the 2 server sees it, 2 minutes later you get overrun by 50+ people…that’s boring.

So it’s not surprising at all that you have the outmanned buff most of the time this week as someone from Desolation.

I don’t mind playing vs Vizunah until the end of GW2…but Vizunah and Jade Sea at the same time is a rather terrible combination…

I wouldn’t say that. There can also be some fun in zergs bashing each others heads. But only if you can use your skills. An arrowcart is useless if you can’t shoot it…and that’s what happens atm. And it seems that it’s getting worse every week.

Anet fixed culling a bit which increase the graphic requirements abit.

In most zerg server lag fest, fps is fine and they can 1 attack.

if you cannot 1 attack, then i wonder if it is your computer?

I think if it was my hardware I wouldn’t be able to do anything at all but I can.
My frames rarely drop below 40fps and I can jump, move and pick up stuff without a problem.

What I can’t do is use skills…so i’m pretty, pretty sure that the problem is not with me.

Exactly. It has never been that bad in the past. 50vs50 fights were ofc rather laggy but now even smallest skirmishes produce enormous skilllag. and if theres a bigger battle you can feel it on the whole map.

And if you got …let’s say 3 minute of skilllag you got 3 minutes of insane frenzy afterwards were your auto attacks and skills cast twice as fast. It’s like the game wants to “catch up” to what it missed.

Something has to happen there and it has to happen fast imho.

Great title. Hardly helpful let alone reasonable though. One alternative for you might be to quit playing, since for you it results in the same thing. “Fix it or I quit”. Also, set yourself a time frame, least you be stuck threatening forever.

Yup…I think that’s the best thing you can do. Already impossible when 2 servers clash (15-20 second skill lag at least). If you have all 3 servers inside SM for example you can just Alt + F4 cause even auto attacking is impossible.

I know it has been bad in the past, but this current performance is really pathethic. Just shut WvW down until your servers can handle the player numbers or limit it to 10 players per server or so…but if you let this game run like that is an insult for every player who bought this game.

Well basically everyone is playing against everyone right now.
And everything is bugged and lags like hell and people are not even trying anything. They just farm each other as much as possible for wvwxp/lootbags without going for objectives since there will be a few more resets in the next few hours.

Not sure if you messed up again or if this is a joke…but the matchups are AGAIN all the same?!

By the looks of it i would say that everyone has the exact same matchups as last week…
