Mesmer damage is fine, compared to what other classes can output.
But yes, mesmers might deserve some patching. Especially to give them a harder or more reliable shutdown, and encourage more tactical play in 3v3+ situations, like we had back in the old days (i.e. GW1), where a mesmer could actually drastically shape a battle on the meta level, and in that way fulfill a unique role. Rather than being the cheap 3rd class copy of some other class. E.g. defining oneself over maximum burst damage. Savvy?
And in this regard – imho – it’s totally fine that a skill like Null Field is strong. Or that illusion focused play actually leads to a player loosing track of the real mesmer.
Infusions are o.k. We had those in GW1. They usually only affect a specific part of the game.
But why, oh why, did you have to increase the other stats!? I think this is your worst design decision since that lovely PvP Dervish “balancing” update you did back in GW1. Now you put that swing to the gear grinding mill.
Oh, and how long do you think that will keep those “hardcore players” interested?
