It is like gambling. Sure it isn’t always fair, but it is fun and addicting because everyone has a chance to win, but not everyone does. Its addicting man.

Ran it for 4 hours straight and finally beat it. Then I beat it again immediately after. I found it a very nice challenge. Anything that I know is doable, but very difficult, will be done by me til its finished lol.

Tons of rage though, tough of rage…..enjoyable at the same time. Super amazing feeling of accomplishment after you do it and get the slippers.

No one will do Story Mode!

Why not make it so if you run someone through Story Mode that hasn’t done it yet each person that helps run someone through gets a nice reward? 60 Tokens should be perfect so it isnt worth it to abuse and would also get everyone caught up fairly quick.

Dungeons: Just not finding them fun at all.

Okay….So when someone points out that the OP is upset because the game offers a challenge people say no, he wants cooler mechanics. So if you died to cooler mechanics would you stop complaining? My guess is no, you more than likely want an easy game and don’t care to improve. The WoW comments, while they maybe annoying to you, actually make sense if you want “underpowered trash”. I say “underpowered” because I consider this trash “normal”.

I was a Vanilla WoW and EQ player so this is great to finally have even non boss mobs have some sort of meaning other than wasted space you just ROFL through, and yeah I read your post.

Dragon Events - Another End Game option/Raid?

They could definitely make the Dragons more difficult and raid like. The Fire Elemental from the Asura starting zone says, “Hi”.

Seriously, its kind of sad to see these Dragons go to waste, beaten and disposed of like a level 1 mob. I would even be for instancing the event once 25-40 people are in the area and it would just be seemless. So much wasted opportunity for solid PvE.

Do you think events should increase in difficulty?

Dear Anet, The Fire Elemental in the level 1 Asura zone is 100x harder than the endgame event Dragons. Please fix. Thank you.

By Fix I mean don’t make Dragons sit there while you press 1, maybe make them harder than cutting down a tree. You killed all sense of epic that the artists worked hard on with your very bizarre design decisions while also showing that you are capable of difficult encounters as shown by the Fire Elemental. The PvE design decisions make zero sense.

I love dungeons...and here's why.

I can agree with the OP. No one wants to make them easier per say but they want the loot to be on par with the difficulty. This is great what you had to do but, doing it five times will it still be fun? What about even more? Eventually it will come to a point where it is not fun because the fun part was learning how to actually beat the dungeon and cooperate as a group. The risk reward is not high enough by any standards. And while you could care less about loot the first few times because it is fun, eventually you’ll be wanting something for your efforts. And that is where the problem lies.

You do realize that you do get rewards in the form of awesome looking gear right? I dunno if you want higher stats for ????, but this content was made with the current gear in mind. So you actually do get rewarded.

Do NOT nerf please.

God, so many people wanting this game to be beaten in 2 weeks like a single player game. Seriously guys, having content to work toward and work on beats the hell out of sitting in cities. I know, I know, you are 48 with 8 kids, 12 dogs, a pet spider and a few kittens and have been divorced 18 times.

Yet somehow….you ended up playing the game long enough to 100% the entire world which takes around 120 hours or so and its only been out for 2 weeks? If you haven’t then theres your content, go grab it. If you have already played 120+ hours in 2 weeks then you obviously aren’t casual, you are just bad. So the response by the devs is spot on. Learn to play.

Thank you!

I gotta chime in. I logged into the game today really, really wanting to hit 30 for my gear upgrades and to start a new zone and I ended up in Lions Arch. So, I decide I wanted to explore it real quick…..I end up in the zone for 3 hours and am still just walking around noticing all the detail put into the game and its unbelievable. Simply, unbelievable.

My favorite moment in Lions Arch was finding a spot that I could drop down behind a house and finding a tiny hole to go through…I thought hmm.. Went through and looked around, then as I was leaving I noticed a bush that seemed to have a hole behind it. I go through and end on diving into this amazingly detailed and beautiful cave with a ghostly pirate spirit and the amount of exploration reminded me of something out of indiana jones and me working with 2 other guys figuring out how to beat this random puzzle in the middle of a city. I just never expected a simple city(compared to other MMOs) to offer something this epic and it completely took me by surprise. I find myself constantly being rewarded for exploring this amazing world and no other MMO offers that right now.

Anyways, that moment alone is why this game is amazing to me. Keep it up Anet!!

I don’t think you get my point. If you had to do Dungeon A to do Dungeon B then you had to do Dungeon A is the point. Seeing as you are grinding out Dungeon A for a gear set, they could make it so having a gear set or having a seperate key that you build by doing all 3 paths open access to Dungeon B.

Sure people will do the dungeons because they are fun….once. Some may feel the need to do them over and over again just because, but most people are going to do them for the unique gear and then quit. The problem is that each dungeon has its own set of gear. So, if Dungeon F has the gear that I think is the coolest guess where im going? Dungeon F. Guess where I will not be going past 1 time. Dungeons A, B, C,D,E and G.

That leaves a lot of empty dungeons.

Right, which would give you something to work towards. Do you simply not want anything to do at the end?

Jumping through 7 hoops to do an 8th dungeon doesn’t mean more content than just 8 dungeons.

Do you see why?

Right, but that is what people are wanting. It would absolutely be the same amount of content, but it would give you a reason to do the content besides once. The way it is currently there is a set of gear someone wants so they run “One” dungeon and finally get their gear and the other dungeons are ignored. That is wasted content and everyone I have talked to wants some sort of progression.

I mean Zelda could give you the Ganondorf dungeon right from the beginning and you just do them in whatever order and the content would still be the same, but progressing towards Ganondorf happens to be more enjoyable for the reasons people are complaining about. That is progression.

Right, which would give you something to work towards. Do you simply not want anything to do at the end? This is primarily for people who don’t want to just PvP once they hit 80.

If wouldn’t even have to be gear, it could be keys. I mean yeah some gear maybe more wanted than another, but an added benefit of this would be you would have a reason to run all those all dungeons most people are ignoring because they don’t have the gear look that they want. This would add progression while also ensuring that the content that Anet has worked on actually gets played. Don’t like the look? Transmute.

Server broadcasts would be rare. It wouldnt have to be a broadcast. The point being that beating the Dragons would be a BIG deal. It wouldn’t be, oh that looked cool….but I auto attacked the whole time and nothing really happened and theres no real reason to do this ever again…

Basically what I see in this game is a lot of work and a lot of content in the game with no real incentive to play it. These dragon models are amazing, these fights look epic as hell. Would be awesome if they added up to something epic and if their mechanics were just as epic.

So, it seems a lot of people are not liking that their is no endgame and that everything is cleared without anything left to do, yet people also don’t want to grind for stats endlessly that give people who put more time in a bigger advantage. I have a few possible solutions.

1) We can have progress. It would be as simple as keys or the gear you obtain could be like a key to the next dungeon. For example, you get gear in a way Anet and the community finds fun and once you complete that set a new dungeon unlocks. This would give you a feeling of progress, without a stat treadmill and dungeon progression would simply be like obtaining keys to unlocking a new dungeon.

2) Orr and the Dragons should not be able to be auto attacked for a win. Downing some of the epic Dragons should be a “Big Deal”. If a server downs a dragon it should be broadcast, it should be epic, it should be something to work towards that would make you want to come back over and over to try again. It could give you a rank, it could give you a chance at a key to unlock a special dungeon where you have to make the key from killing all the Dragons in the world.

Something along these lines would give players something to do without the gear grind while also giving progression and a feeling of, “I want to see whats next”.

Just some thoughts I had. Let me know what you think.
