So its a PVP balance and heck with PVE?

Currently, I haven’t got 1000 gold to try out different variations of gear to get my Ranger back where I want it. Everyone on here is talking about PVP which is terrible anyway. If I wanted to PVP I would play LoL or something. Unbalanced PVP games are no fun. I don’t know if this is a server problem, or just lack of people on a particular server not PVPing.

Also it doesn’t address those who can’t live 18 hours a day on the game. So now basically I have to go farm until I die in real life to get mats to try different gear so my Ranger isn’t hitting 900 or less damage now.

This is the same issue with other MMos’ that GM’s can’t wrap their head around. They themselves do not want to give out suggestions after they change things. And, the big guild runners are running in full Legendary and Ascended gear, and don’t want to help other players because, we all know, they were never new to a MMO. Pfft

Just because your in a guild with 500 other people and get the best of the best, a lot want to have fun and not feel like it’s a job to even complete an area now. Some of the changes are good, but precision being killed on PVE players is just wrong imo.

Especially when you go in dungeons you have learned, and have completed many times, then today you get kicked by all the Guardians, Mesmers, and Warriors because you have to re-learn how to play your class because of the changes being so drastic, well, it just sucks.

I don’t have ton’s of gold to build armor, weapons, and just bags of laurels laying around to swap out accessories just so I can wield a great-sword and apply poisons?

Or do you drop precision totally and go with Vitality to get more power. It’s really ridiculous. I have several 80 characters’ who are OK afterwards I suppose, they all took a hit, but the Ranger is just bad now and hardest to relearn to use in a different way than yesterday before the change. And, it being the one I enjoyed to play the most, and put almost everything into gearing it up, it’s all worthless in a matter of 5 min.

They did this on WoW and it was just horrible. People are not friendly like they should be, and I am not saying they don’t have the right to boast. But when they feel above you and you enter a dungeon and they just say, ok lets run to the end of the boss because it’s the Daily, and you now have a LB and SB, you have no speed boost anymore, so who gets killed, the ranger in the rear, literally. Especially after a wipe when you dodge and do everything right, are the last to die, and you can’t run by the mobs after the game lets res at the WP you because your in combat, or someone else is because they released 1st, yeah, it’s bad.

Put more content in, instead of messing with what works and choosing if PVE get’s punished, or PVP. If you want different specs and changes in PVP, then change it on the PVP servers and leave PVE out of it.

I wouldn’t know what they have changed or whatever since the mess they created late in Lich King and before Mists of Pandora. D3 either, because what and how they treated their players at that time, I will never go back or purchase anything from Blizzard again. That’s the whole point, why spend so much time leveling and gearing toons just for the company to decide, we don’t like this, so here you go, deal with it. And, the only expansion that they got right was Burning Crusades. After that, they just handed out mounts, made it super easy, then when Atv took over, it was just way to gone. Making a night elf on that game and having to grind and run/quest in the starting areas would drain your soul, literally. But after LK they gave out buffs because no one could play their class right because you could get mounts etc at 20 instead of 40. I guess that’s what I am getting at. Only in this instance its reversed. I understand the need of experience playing your class, but to penalize new players, and old in this patch is just too much too quick. No time to adjust. Not all of us just as in wow would use a dps meter and hit a dummy for 10 hours and post a detailed difference in before and after, although I have seen people post it above. It has its good points, but the nerf and I guess non change in the higher levels for solo playing was not looked at. And D3 not having a online AH, that’s a good thing. I understand your points and agree as well. Level adjustment was a reason to make characters more balanced, now its a disadvantage, especially if your character isn’t 80. Go to Orr or Straights in all blues and you will die, a lot. I guess jack of all trades, pro in none is the hurt of this. Just spending gold to add character slots, leveling professions to 500 and then, the next day, instant 50% reduction in output damage fighting mobs that can lock you down or fear until your dead, isn’t fun. Brutes especially and Plaguebinders, jeez, I couldn’t imagine trying to level a character in those zones right now.

Whom did you Anet employees talk with or ever decide these changes would make the game better. Especially with out the megaserver game wide. I had sent you opinions about helping this not to occur. Basically, this is the same nerf/change that killed WoW for millions of players. So, basically, another game wasted, both in time and life you will never get back to go out and get killed in Orr on 3 of my level 80s’ within the 1st 10 min. No one is there to clear statues, I have gone from 2k hits to 500-900 and get trampled by every mob which has 3 or more friends, which in such areas before this patch, were just ridiculous to begin with. Poisoned, brambles, fire, etc on top of the skills the mobs have, which mostly they can knock you around and stun you every 10 seconds, and or cripple you for a full min, you can basically forget completing those areas now.

The UI is looks a bit different, but is the same theory that Blizzard ruined WoW with. Beta trial for existing players would have been better than this. It’s a bold statement just as Blizzard did, we don’t care what our players think, and here it is, like it or not. It is not helping areas that are under populated, the 70 – 80 zones and has basically killed progression in those areas with alts. You might as well just erased those areas for everyone who doesn’t have the gold or the equipment to even survive travelling through the area, let alone try to get materials to upgrade equipment. When does gear score come out? Basically this is what has happened here only you didn’t lock out players for not having the gear to get through areas. Did you just wish to make this like Diablo 3 where you must use the gem store to buy gold to equip your characters off the Trading Post.

Some things are ok, and can be adapted, but nerfing all my characters from 30 to 50 percent in unacceptable. Solo play died today. I will not play a game where its required to be in a big guild, or other-means just to get through a zone. It was fine the way it was.

Cause and effect are 2 separate issues, and this is the issue. Your cause to think you would be making your game better, you just caused more issues for your players.

I would have added a lot more, but to stay under limit of characters in a message, lol, this may sound rude after editing. But, straightforward issues above. A little tweaking, and love for the little guys, would be much appreciated.

Certain areas, in general are impossible to complete on some characters I have. Especially so when I am the only character in the zone. This has to do with the Statues of Melandru and events in these areas. When I finished my first 80, it wasn’t a problem. New game, lots of help, and no need to be in a big guild to complete things. I am sure many others are like me, play when I can to have fun and usually alone, as I don’t have many friends who play as much as I can. All I am asking is, could you add a zone specific completion award, either daily or otherwise, or compression system or buffs for a character if doing events alone, or tune back some of the areas, especially underwater where you are scaled back and hordes of the risen are just flailing you around like a rag-doll. This is by no means fun, and after wasting 2 hours of trying to do the events to get the skill point at the Royal Forum and brambles hit you and de-buffs increase until you die, or 50 risen kill you, and finally clearing two other zones on my ranger, which by no means was fun. Me being the only player attempting to clear the Melandru curses, my Mesmer is 80, with Exotic gear all over, and its just impossible to take certain areas alone. I am just asking you to consider changes in these zones, most are manageable, others are impossible alone. Scale back the health of mobs, something. Being unable to play a character and finish a zone because of ridiculous circumstances isn’t fun, it is stressful, and playing for us who just like to play solo, well, we don’t wish to play when that is occurring. PVP is also this way, as I am sure a lot of players just don’t like PVP, myself included. The only reason I have to yet complete the 100% achievement on my 1st 80, is because our server, battle-group, whatever, never has control of areas I need to explore. Just some ideas to help us who don’t have 300 people in a guild for the most part which started when the game came out, have no interest in helping, or gearing someone who cant play 14 hours a day. In a pure perfect world, people would understand, a group effort benefits all. But, unfortunately this generation doesn’t have that mentality now. Its more of what can I get, and once I get it, heck with the rest. At one point as GM I was managing 14 Raid groups. Being rude, hostile, etc is easy for kids and likewise to destroy gaming for the rest because the fear factor of getting smacked around in real life is non-existent. Its sad to say that, but it is the truth. Friendships develop in guilds, but when some are out for themselves and bail on a raid group or something, it ripples through the entire structure of the guild. The stress and trying to make all happy was horrible. I left WOW in this regard. They didn’t care about our input, our requests, and just proceeded to ramp up for big guilds, and left the casual players suffering as others get gear, then never return or desire to run old content to help advance those like me now in GW2. I do applaud the dungeon finder, but you have players who run through the dungeon skipping a full clear to just get the daily done. For me, I have no drive, need, want to re-assume being in a large guild for the aforementioned facts. Guilds are a "nature of the beast’ experience. Accomplishing raids and instances, there is no better feeling doing that. But eventually, it starts to crumble inside because of human nature. For people like me who devoted so much running a guild like that with 900 players, I just didn’t and couldn’t take it anymore. Thus why solo play is more my way now. Casual players also depend on more kill for the buck, a.k.a. drops from baddies. If your not killing them, and missing loot to for MF because people just run to the bosses and skip everything. I know how people take advantage of exploits, farming, and other means to get what they want. When they are done, they don’t care if one person needs something. Just human nature I guess. I am not asking for things to be a piece of cake, The Gem Store although this system doesn’t allow you to buy gear, Ascended or higher for the most part, it does allow you to trade gems for gold.It can spiral out of control giving players no option to get gear for the poor players.Hurting your game base in that manner, is just unethical. The recent content with the Aetherblades destroying LA. The rest of the world was empty. Kryta zone is worse than Orr. Regular mobs hit like trucks and have 5 times the health of a single player. I have lived it and nothing is worse than investing years playing a game to see it destroy itself by these issues. When you can’t even get to a SP, vista or POI, well, there is no getting back the short life we all have trying to complete and advance. So what is the point of playing. GW2 has a lot to love, but a lot is out of reach for most. I hope this view from a lover of your game will be at least heard. TY.

Hi Mark, I think you are missing the point. We came on at 8pm to participate in this specific event but have been cheated out of it. Could you not have just reset LA to prior to the start of the battle – this is what most of us wanted (i.e. all the people who have been waiting since 8pm for the Karka to not be bugged).

I’m not sure if it’s worth turning up tomorrow for the next event since we feel that it’ll probably be bugged again and you’ll just do the same as you have tonight. I appreciate that it’s difficult to release something perfect but I feel tonight’s resolution is most disappointing.

Totally agree, I left Blizz after years of playing for this exact same attitude towards the players who made them big. It was such a refreshing game from WOW, but this Weekend has seriously got me reconsidering even playing MMo’s at all anymore. Just not about the Game and Players to these companies. All about the money. It’s quite sad. But guess can be said about most thing’s anymore, just no Morales left in or World today. People all about themselves.

Okay so I load the new build in to an overflow with no Ancient Karka! Why have I just been sat here for 3 hours hours waiting for a fix if you’re just going to eliminate the battle! I wanted to fight it as I haven’t had the chance to kill Karka yet due to all the bugs!

I loved GW1 (pre-ordered it and played since the start). My wife and I came on immediately after putting the kids to bed so we could participate and have instead wasted an entire evening!

There are plenty of karka to fight on Southsun Cove. Head over to the docks and take the ship that is waiting over to the island and fight karka to your heart’s content.

Yeah, why do something everyone else got to, even though we didnt think ahead to test and make sure our ISP and Servers could handle it. Shame on you!! Who do you think we work for, you???

Blackgate non-overflow update. He just ran towards the cliff and magically disappeared. Is that normal?

Yes, that is what it was supposed to do.

The trebuchet was meant to fire at the karka, chasing it off into the ocean. Then people take the boat to Southsun Cove to fight the karka on their home turf.

Regardless of whether that karka is still there, the boat to Southsun Cove should have appeared on your map so you can travel to the island.

Oh, well, how stupid of us, we should have just known that then, not just sit and fight something bugged and regaining its health for 2 hours lol. Least some npc could have yelled out or a in game mail, something. It was bad, very bad day for Yak’s Bend at least.

On Yak’s Bend, The Krata Champ is still up resetting and not moving lol, cmon, really Over 2 hours now?? Yesterday the event was laggy so bad no loot or anything, then the gate wouldn’t work to get in new dungeon and Lionguard Tyrron wouldn’t do anything, you reset server then Ty disappeared and it still said to talk to him. But then we could go in Dungeon?
