I’m glad I’m not the only person having this issue, I posted last night about this exact same issue, and I’ve been in contact with email support and I feel like ArenaNet just doesn’t care…

And the last thing I want to do is to connect to a VPN that I have no clue where it’s connecting to, and what information they are collecting during connection just to download the game.

It’s unacceptable…

Post from last night: Can’t get the game to install

Hello Everyone,

I need help. I just re-installed windows on my computer about a month ago and I’m trying to re-install guild wars 2. When I run the installer from the disc it gets to about a certain download amount and then just dies. I try again and it might get a bit higher in amount or it might end at a smaller amount, it’s always a different amount though when the download just dies. I’ve tried using the web client download and it just does the same thing.

Some of the guides I’ve read trying to fix the issue say try to rename the application to gw2.exe, move the file into the program folder, run it as administrator, and what not, and still nothing. I’ve also run MSCONFIG and disabled service and boot programs.

I also ran the GameAdvisor, and nothing out of the ordinary is popping up.

My current computer specs are:
GPU: GeForce GTX 680
Driver Version: 335.23
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz
Memory: 16.00 GB RAM (15.90 GB Usable)
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit.

I could really use the help please.
