I bought GW2 because I was looking for a MMO coming from previously playing a particular popular MMO off and on for a year. It was my first MMO, and I liked it, but it was getting stale. It was also semi expensive – $15 a month can be annoying. (If you’re guessing which MMO it is, you’re probably right, I just don’t know if I’m allowed to name it or not.)
So, I looked around for some fun MMOs, saw Guild Wars 2, looked up, did my homeworked, watched videos, and bought it when I saw it was on sale.
This is my third day playing, and I’m a level 13 Theif. I really enjoy the game so far.
I got invited to guild within 5 minutes of joining, and one of the members spent 2 hours showing me the basics, giving me some starting equipment, etc. It was great. Really friendly community so far.
