The game itself has no way of knowing that you’re using the same credit card, considering Anet doesn’t process those transactions directly. The easiest way for them to program this without spending ages on it, is to simply make it a blanket approach. You can still buy gems if something is on sale that you absolutely have to have.

But the security measure is a smart move on their part.

My only problem with your statement above is the fact that I don’t have money to splurge around and buy new gems with, just because something is on sale right now. I am waiting on my PoF gems as well and have seen things go on sale that I want, and vanish from sale as I waited. I’m not against the 72 hour delay, I totally understand, but it does make me extremely sour. I had to save up to buy the expention, and now I’m missing out again because of the delay. I’ll state again, I understand the 72 hour delay, but it is kind of bugging me that I’m missing out on sales just because I didn’t have the money ready on the day they announced PoF.

It continues happening to me too. I’ve been having this issue for a while, than it went away, only to come back again these last few weeks. It doesn’t happen as frequent as before, but when you are in story instances and have to redo the entire thing because of the error, it get really annoying, really quick.

After fighting the final fight, which cost me three revive orbs in total, me and my friends discovered that it was bugged. After defeating the final hound, the game went on a loop and nothing changed. I’m severely upset, mainly because it did cost me these revive orbs and we ended up having to leave the instance and now retry it again.

Anyone else experience this bug? Or was it a once in a life time glitch for our poor unfortunate souls?

Played episode 3 together with my boyfriend, he received the achievement “Vigilant” (probably because he was instance opener) but I didn’t

I had this too. I played the episode with my boyfriend and two of our friends. He got the achievement and we all didn’t. I think this kind of sucks, because I’m not going to replay the episode over again to get the achievement again. Should have just been given out to everyone in the party, in my opinion.

Thank you for all the advice. I’m going to try the repair, but I’m not holding my breath.

Unfortunately, I know nobody who would be able to start this story instance for me, since people have either already done it, or not unlocked the chapter.

I’ve done this chapter twice now, and every time I complete all three consoles without any hiccup. Than I need to talk to my friends to find out what they want me to do, but I cannot communicate with any of them. I’m stuck and I need to log out into my character select screen to leave the instance, only to do it over again and end up with the same results. Help please.

It comes and goes with me. I’ve been playing for four years and have struggled with this error for about two and a half of them. It really doesn’t matter where I am or what I am doing. Once I get this error, the entire game just glitches underneath my feet. It doesn’t matter where I am or where I am going in the game. Very annoying, especially since there still hasn’t been a proper fix for this.

Does anyone else experience a glitch when starting the HoT story? When I choose to Dig In, after fighting against the freshly turned Sylvari, the map shows where I need to go but nothing happens once I get there.

I keep on having the same problem. Sometimes I can run around for a certain amount of time, but the error keeps on returning. Especially when I want to switch between characters. I’ve had this error problem before, and I’m growing really tired of it. Can someone please tell me when it will be fixed? I changed nothing in the settings, is this happening because of a patch update?

I’m experiencing the same problem. I log on just fine, and can spend hours in my character screen without any problems, but than I log in and after five minutes I’m getting kicked. It’s extremely frustrating and off putting. Me and my boyfriend use the same internet connection, yet I keep getting booted, while he can play without any problems. We tried rebooting the router, but this had little to no effect at all. Tried reinstalling the game, didn’t work either. I’m feeling lost here, and am seriously upset by the fact that this keeps happening.

Experiencing the exact same problem. Even if it is a continuation of the first story line, I think people should be given the option after killing Zhaitan. This is the first time I completed the story and I was looking forward to completing the map, before continuing on into the second chapter of the personal story. Now, however, it keeps pointing towards the new map, and clicking on quitting the chapter isn’t helping at all. Can someone please help?
